STAFF AND PATIENT SATISFACTION
In first visit of inspection, it was evaluating that staff was pleasantly involved with patient
but there was no patient risk assessment and verbal communication which could have been
dangerous for treating patient with dementia. However, in last visit it was seen that staff was
handing each patient by assessing to individual care and specialist needs.
In first visit of inspection it was determined that some patients were involved in social
activities but on the other hand, there were patient who were sitting isolated from activities
and care. The denial of services user to food and medication was also seen.

Efficiency, Effectiveness and Environment
In first unannounced inspection of Beacon edge care home, it was determined that there
was lack of medication management, staff training, informal environment, no compliance
with Social Care Act 2008 which led to breach of regulation. Apparently, in last
unannounced inspection it was clear that care home has recruited potential staff to manage
patient centric services. Moreover, there was registered manager who was looking after all
legal requirement in order to maintain efficient of all recommendation made in last
inspection.

Facilitating changes in health and social care is essential for managing patient
safety and satisfaction.
In accordance with inspection and identified issue, it is analysed that there are
various changes which needs to be managed according to environmental and
efficiency of care home.
As per the evaluating the major issues in Beacon edge care home were staff
services and management, lack of decision making and leadership environment
and lastly patient centred care.

As per the issues, some recommendation can be made to team leader for managing problems and
increasing services response which are as follows:
It is important for the team leader to focus on medicine management which can be attained by
make individual care plan of patient with their speciality needs, medication, hydration and dietary
requirement. This is the best approach which will help Beacon edge care home in managing
service response.
The care should focus on organising regular training for employees, this will help in reducing
staff resistance and will helps in making optimum utilisation of resources and managing
satisfactory functioning of staff.
