1REFLECTION ON BEHAVIOR
In this study, my objective is to reflect on my behavior within a group. In this context, I
attempted to elaborate, the positive factors in my behavior or the things I did well and things I
did poorly as well. In the next section of the study I attempted to showcase the impacts of my
behavior on the common goals and objectives of the group and how did the impact contribute to
the success of the group. The conclusion section sums up the entire content and highlights the
factors essential in assessing behavior in a group.
In order to reflect on my own behavior within the group of the organization I work in,
first I need to find out all the positive factors in my behavior, or the things I did well. I have a
frank approach while communicating with the member of the group. This is the reason I was able
to participate in the interactive discussion related to the work culture, procedure, policies of the
organization and the group as well. Hence, due to my communication skills I was able to learn
all the tricks to manage my work in a better way. Again, due to my frank approach and friendly
way of communication, I was able to discuss, whatever problems I faced freely with the group
leader. This can be considered as one of the of the positive factor in my behavior (Forbes.com
2019).
I always try to maintain collaborative attitude while working. As I able to maintain a
good collaboration while planning strategies, this help the group members to meet individual
targets within time. This also helps me to maintain a healthy relationship with the group
members. This is the reflection of effective organizational behavior.
Cooperativeness: Just after entering the group I realized that, in order4 to keep a good
team spirit and contribute the overall success of the group, I need to cooperate from my heart and
soul, with the other members in the group.

2REFLECTION ON BEHAVIOR
I kept my ego aside while learning from my mistakes. This helped me to learn easily and
grow faster towards perfection. Hence this is another evidence of my effective organizational
behavior. Again, I kept my ego aside while learning from members who are junior than me as
compared to my age. For all these reasons, I learnt all the effective methods to manage work
within time very quickly.
I kept my focus on the common objectives rather than personal issues. This is another
positive factor in my behavior. Due to this factor I am able to maintain a good cooperation while
working on any group project.
Things I did poorly included-the lack of understanding of the complicated procedures
followed sometimes. Another negative factor that I exhibited through my behavior was that, I
became demotivated easily. As it was my first experience of team work, I was not aware about
the fact that, when everybody in the group is engaged with their own work, in order to meet their
individual target, then a person within the group can not expect constant motivation from the
other members. Other members may motivate them whenever they will get enough time to
interact. Hence, in case of group projects, a person needs to learn the art of self-motivation. I
learnt the art of self-motivation and self-control lately. Hence, these factors created problem
initially and delayed my work too.
For assessing, the impact of my behavior on the common goals and objectives of the
group, first the goal of the group needs to be mentioned. The goal of the team was to enhance
efficiency and achieve the common objective of the group within the stipulated time. In order to
discuss, the impact of my behavior on the common goals as well as objectives of the group, first
I should talk about my communication skills and its consequences (Lyons et al. 2016). As I have
told that, I was very frank and can communicate well with my peers, I often indulge into

interactive discussion related to the work procedure. Again, whenever I used to face any
problem, I used to speak up. My effective communication skills have casted upon a positive
impact on the overall objective of the group. As, due to my frank approach to interact, eagerness
to learn, agility to solve problems I was able to cope with the work procedure easily. Thus, I
learnt about the tricks to handle workload. My productivity increased (Green et al. 2017). I was
able to meet all the deadline and, the quality of my performance enhanced. Hence The
productivity of the group also enhanced. The group succeeded to deliver work without any delay.
All this ensured the overall success of the group (Mindtools.com 2019).
As I was able to maintain a good collaboration while planning strategies to help the group
members to meet individual targets within time, the individual targets are achieved without any
delays. Again I kept aside the personal issues I had with some of the group members while
cooperating with them (Tullo 2019). This aided in removing all kinds of obstacles in the way of
cooperation. Thus, the maintenance of the cooperation and collaboration accelerated the
completion of all the projects undertaken by the group. Again, due to effective collaboration in
the group effort the group ways able to foster creativity in the execution of the projects. This also
assist the group to reach its goal (Australian Institute of Business 2019).
As I always try to learn from my mistakes and do not let my ego to refrain me from
getting inspired from other’s achievement, I was able to make a substantial contribution in the
success of the group. This behavior also accelerated the success of the group, as whenever I
made a mistake I delved deep into the reason behind committing the mistake and I found out the
ways to eliminate those reasons (Driskell Salas and Driskell 2018). The more I tried to brought
perfection in my work, the more the quality of the performance of the group enhanced and the

excellence in the performance helped the group to achieve its common objective (Hrweb.mit.edu

In the conclusion, it can be said that, good communication, cooperation, coordination,
love for learning, admitting mistakes, learning from other’s success; are the essential factors in
my behavior,; which accelerated the group towards its goals.
