The purpose of this paper is to provide a detail article review of “Key challenges for
enabling agile BPM with social software.” The social bpm is basically a practice of involving

Introduction:
The business process management formally known as BPM is called agile at the time
this can react adequately and quickly to the external and internal events. The BPM needs to
put business process life cycle on a newly developed paradigm. The purpose of this paper is
to do an article review of “Key challenges for enabling agile BPM with social software.” The
article advocated that the social software gives the permission to the people for satisfying the
primary requirements to enable the agile business process management through applying the
four features of the social software that are social production, weak ties, mutual service
provision and egalitarianism. The article has identified semantic and organisational
integration as well as responsiveness as the primary requirements to implement a life cycle of
Agile BPM. According the article, at present there is existing a growing awareness of the
shortcomings of the approaches of classical BPM. On the basis of the observations that are
made in issues, practices such as dividing model reality was identified. The article also
describes the divide between procedures and abstract process models that are executed in the
practices.
Prerequisites for the Life cycle of an agile BPM:
The life cycle of an agile BPM id actually the life cycle of a BPM, which is having
the capability for supporting the vision of an agile based enterprise. This should be having the
capability for quick reaction to the external and internal events. But the approaches of the life
cycle of current BPM are on the basis of tayloristic type of thinking. The meaning of this is
the life cycle of BPM need to be divided up in some of the small processes that are often
assigned exclusively to a stakeholder only. The capabilities and rights of the stakeholders for
contributing has been tailored therefore for supporting the execution procedure of the

operations that are assigned. On the other side, they are able to restrict the stakeholder’s
contribution to only that one as well as the life cycle of BPM that is pre-defined.
One more source that is for the identification of the prerequisites in that the analysis
has been done. The failure for using a language that is understandable to each of the
procedures that the stakeholders have identified like a risk that is for the risk related to the
business process management generally. The reason behind this is, this may delay the
reaction that is for the events that are external. The risks are having a specific importance for
the life cycle of agile BPM.
Organisational integration:
As described in the article, the agile business process management needs the
integration of organisations of all of the stakeholders. Though, this is not possible to make
identification of all of the contributions as well as the contributors of them. Therefore, all of
the stakeholders are need to be having the capability of doing submission of requirement of
him to the life cycle of BPM. Therefore, the agile organisational integration of the agile
BPM needs to overcome the hierarchic and elitist view of the world. This is also having the
power to give assurance that the stakeholders are not regarded so much capable in the
approaches that are standard. The organisational integration has to break both of the implicit
and explicit forms of the exclusion like the stakeholder’s execution.
Features of social software:

Weak ties:
The relationships which are on the basis of the structure of team or hierarchy is
known as strong ties that are the primary part of the organisation as well as they are
appropriate probably for the business processes that are repetitive and well defined.
Social production:
The social production breaks with the centralized paradigms. The meaning of that is,
this is possible for integrating the innovative and unforeseen contributions and contributors. It
has been declared by the authors, “Many social and organizational factors play an important
role in the working of any organization ... a useful cooperative work model must capture
much more than the steps of procedures. The concept of goal expresses an intention, this is
what must be achieved.”
Egalitarianism:
