The military forces in any country are the people who are responsible for the safe and
security of the common people of the country. Every officer and every personnel in the military
forces are bound by discipline rules and regulations. The integrity and respect that is associated
with the profession is immense along with the responsibility and courage that it brings along
with it. As a civilian it is very difficult to even imagine the hardships and sacrifices a military
personnel has to go through in his or her life time. The World War I and II have shaped the
world in the way that we know today, following the unrest that the wars had left behind
politically and economically the countries have emerged out and have grown towards progress.
United States of Americas has proven its merit and has emerged as one of the superpowers in the
world having one of the greatest and the largest armed forces. But America is viewed as the
aggressive military group as well and some also view that the world would have been better
without the US military. The unrest that has erupted in Syria has been a major concern of the
world peace and US is viewed to be playing one of the significant roles out of the many
governments who are related to the Syrian civil war. US military includes the Army, Marine
Corps, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard and the president of the United States act as the
commander in chief of these armed forces. With the help of two executive branches in the
government ht president is responsible to take any decision and from any policies regarding the
military forces of United States. These two sections that deal with e armed forces are the U.S.
Department of defence and U.S. Department of Homeland security. The framework of the US
military forces was created as the after effect of the World War II and the onset of the Cold war
this is devised and formulated in the National security act 1947. Today the US military groups
are regarded as one of the major armed forces of the world and the interventions of US in foreign
lands is one of the biggest topics of debate (Blanchard et al. 2014).

The status of a country heavily depends upon the military services and it is also true for
the United States as well, during the Spanish-American war in the 1898 this war had resulted in
the early international move towards stabilization of America. Many are of the view that the
world would be in a state of chaos and unrest if the US military was absent. In the current
scenario it could be said because the U.S. has been prepared to crash into the militants and
intervene in the Syria crisis, it is easy to explain the role of US in the world (Stent 2014). On the
other hand many argue the fact that the reason for the unrest that has been created worldwide is
because of the US military. The assumption of both the hard Left and foreign-policy realists,
which states that the deployment of U.S. military force on foreign lands with the intentions of
rescue or security of the people of that place often end up in more of a mess than doing any
improvement to the situation. This assumption was also acknowledged by one of the presidents
of America. President Obama’s worry and distress regarding the deployment of the military
action against the Syrian government was deep and concerning to dynamics that were being
observed in Syria, but when this had been highlighted almost 5000 people in Syria was declared
dead. The actions of the military on the Syrian grounds did not match with the ideologies that
was being shared by the president neither did the intervention level had declined from the US
side nor did the killings stop. The intervention of the U.S. military now is way more than when
the President Obama had taken over the administration (Chin 2013). The approach is much more
different from that of President Bush which is regarded as being aggressive during the unrest in
Iraq and Afghanistan. This situation clearly defends that fact and the discussion that the world
would be better without the US military. On the contrary it has been also observed that the rate
of interventions by the US militants has been distinctly reduced in Obama regime. Technological
advances in the field of new and improved methods of war craft that is being implemented by the

US Military groups have enabled the limitation of collateral damage and unnecessary killings
that the US was being accused of during the war with Iraq and Afghanistan. Support from
modern technology and concepts like drone strikes and special-operations forces this has been
achieved by the US (Is A Better World Possible Without U.S. Military Force?).
If the perspective of the people from the Middle East is considering this debate then
United States has been viewed to have reduced its favouritism in these areas during the Obama
government. The decisions and the policies that were implements by the Democrats during the
period of the downfall of Iraq is one of the greatest reasons for the dislike and the grievances that
have been developed among the people of the Middle East for the US military interventions.
There have been several recorded incidents in the Syrian intervention that American militants
have lost their lives in saving and rescuing many civilian who had faced attack from the Syrian
and Russian assault on the civilian infrastructure which also included hospitals as well
(Abramovitz et al. 2014).
The scepticism that has been observed over the US and not over any other allied forces
that have been responsible in the recent past to contribute to the disruption of world peace will be
a biased view. And it is an almost absurd through of a country that is a superpower not having
any interventions in the most unrest areas of the world. The experts would deem US as country
that is not concerned with world peace otherwise.
