1FOUNDATIONS OF A BIBLE-BASED CHRIST-CENTERED WORLVIEW
Description
This book describes the role of God as the universal Father. He has been portrayed as the
entity looking after the well being of the children i.e. the human beings. Jesus Christ had taught
the prayers of God to his disciples that would be fundamental to offer Him all the respect. God is
omnipotent and knows about the grief of the human beings. This is why the God looks after the
common good of the human beings (McGrath 2012). It is a very common thing that the human
fathers also provide their children with the best things in the world. This is why God always
wants to deliver the best gifts to His children in every manner. The most important part is the
thing that the gender of God is not ensured by anyone whether He is a male or a female. The
female imagery has been attributed to God in some ancient Christian literature (Wright 2012).
Evaluation
This book can be evaluated in the way that God has been looked upon as the supreme
power in the entire universe. This is why He has the ability to do everything (Wright 2013). The
aspect of sexuality can only be attributed to the human beings who are created. God cannot be
created. This is why He has no proper sexuality that can be bestowed upon Him (McGrath 2012).
In the Old Testament, no attributions to sexual functions can be found on God (Martens 2015).
This is God has been looked upon as a completely other entity. However, it can be said that the
maleness has been commonly attributed to God in most ways. It can be countered with the
saying that God has been shown as a female entity in some early Christian literature (Wright
2012).

Analysis
This book provides a good analysis on the fact of God’s persona or His sexual attribution.
Another thing in this book has focused on the perception of the personal God (Martens 2015).
God has never been shown in the image where he can be portrayed with the human relationships.
God has promised this world about all the good things (Wright 2013). He believes if all the
human beings do all the good things, they will yield good results as well. This is why the human
beings should commit good deeds and God will definitely fulfill His promise (Wright 2012).
Personal reflection
I have understood the fact God serves several entities. He is portrayed as the persona that
looks after the well being of all the creatures in the world. I also think that God will punish all
the people who have committed wrong deeds and reward those who are honest. As God cannot
be created, I think human beings should not attribute any kind of gender on God. Some human
beings are very helpful in most ways. God helps them because of their honest mind. This is
where the perception of ‘personal God’ comes alive. Therefore, I think, God should be treated
just as He is portrayed in the Bible.
