AI Summary
This report provides an executive summary analyzing the challenges of big data within the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing environments. It highlights the interconnectedness of big data, IoT, and cloud systems, emphasizing how the massive data generated by IoT devices poses significant hurdles. These challenges encompass data management, security, data visualization, data semantics, and the complexities of data analytics and fusion. The report explores the negative impacts of big data on both cloud computing and IoT, including data validation issues, security concerns, and the need for substantial investment in data storage. The analysis concludes that big data presents a serious challenge for businesses operating in the international market, affecting their growth and progress. Executive summary
The primary motive of this task is to outline and explain the challenge of big data in internet of
things and cloud. The cloud and IOT are interconnected with big data. It outlines how big data
affect the cloud and internet of things negatively.
Big data is a general phrase that is used to various kinds of facts that exist in the present world of
the business. Big data may be defined as a set of data that are difficult and multifaceted that
conventional data processing application software are insufficient to deal with them. On the other
hand, IOT is the system of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances, and other item
entrenched with software, sensors, electronics, actuators and connectivity that facilitates these
things to interconnect and replace data, generating new and innovative opportunities for straight
combination of the substantial world into the computer based systems for enhancing and
improving effectiveness and efficiency (McAfee, Brynjolfsson, Davenport, Patil & Barton,
2012). The IOT creates large amount of data that is called big data. Managing this huge volume
and various varieties of data imposes ample of challenges when resources, time and processing
capabilities and potentials are inhibited. It is analyzed that big data is becoming more
challenging for data collected via the IOT (Kaisler, Armour, Espinosa & Money, 2013). The
ample of challenges are pertaining to big data in internet of things, and further these challenges
are also linked with data visualization, data management, data semantics, formless data analytics,
data discovery and data fusion. Big data and internet of things are interconnected with each
other. There are various things that created by internet and classified as data whether they are
useful or not. Dealing with data growth is one of the significant challenges in IOT that affect the
growth and progress of the organizations (Datamation, 2018).
Along with this, data validation also may affect the internet of things. Aside this, big data also
affect the cloud computing and further it is a biggest challenge for the cloud computing. The
term cloud refers to accessing computer, software applications and information technology
through a network connection by accessing various data using various area networking (WAN).
Security is a major issue or concern for the cloud providers and businesses in today’s
competitive world that could affect the business activities adversely (Chen & Zhang, 2014).

Moreover, data acts are also a biggest grave issue that requires data centers to be faster to a user
than a supplier. The cloud providers and clients have their own share of challenges and issues
involved when creating an agreement on various cloud resolution (Mosco, 2015). Weak API’s
and insecure interfaces can give valuable and significant information to hackers and these people
can misuse all these facts and information for the incorrect causes. Fraud and error are also major
issue in cloud and internet of things that may put direct impact on the business. Along with this,
cloud security is generally misunderstood and data movement is also a major challenge for the
users or providers. In addition, huge investment is required in big data for storing space. In
today’s modern world, moving huge sets of data, facts and rendering the detail required to access
it is a major concern. These huge sets of data generally carry sensitive information such as debit
card, credit card number, addresses and statistics security issues that are serious issue for the
users and companies as well. In this way, various challenges are associated in cloud and IOT
(Krutz & Vines, 2010).
On the above mentioned analysis, it concluded that big data is a serious concern in cloud and
internet of things that affect the any type of business in the international market.
