From this report, I gained my understanding about the use of big data as it would be
beneficial for me to analyse the consumer behaviour. In the current business era, it is
necessary for an organization to manage their bid data as it could be imperative for increasing
the consumer buying behaviour. It could support to sustain the market sustainability in the
limited time frame. I also enhanced my understanding about the role of big data in making an
effective decision towards the organization (Chen Peiai, 2008).
Moreover, I learned that big data can support to gain understanding about certain benefits of
consumer behaviours analysis in the least time. I also understood the business research issues
that demonstrate the reason for conducting the research issue. I increased my knowledge
about business objectives as it could be effective to perform research study and get a reliable
result.
I also gained my understanding towards the literature review section that demonstrates the
conceptual understanding of the current research concern. From the use of literature review
section, I gained my knowledge towards many components like customer purchasing
behaviour analyst, consumer segmentation, and consumer positioning and emotional analysis.
I also understood that big data could be effective to examine the behaviour of the consumer
as it could be effective for making a reliable decision in favour of the consumer (Manyika, et
al., 2011).
Moreover, I enhanced my knowledge towards the development of research hypothesis as it
could be effective to obtain a reliable result with respect to the current research concern. In
this, I gained my understanding about two variables like consumer behaviour policy and big
data. I observed that the research methodology that enables to select appropriate tool for
collecting the feasible information about the current research concern.

There are many methods that are considered in the research methodology like research
approach, research design, data collection method, data analysis method, sampling method,
research type, and ethical consideration. I understood that the descriptive research design
could support to examine the conceptual causal relationship between two variables. In this
research, two different factors are big data and consumer’s behaviour. Moreover, it is also
analysed that the descriptive research could be effective to obtain a valid and reliable result.
I also pointed that the mixed research method considers two kinds of factors like qualitative
and quantitative research design (Paco Underhill, 2008).
The qualitative research design could enable the researcher to obtain non-numerical
information about the current research matter. Apart from this, the quantitative research
design could be effective to obtain the numerical information about research matter. Thus, it
is also evaluated that mixed research design could be effective to eliminate the disadvantages
of both research methods. It would be imperative for getting a reliable result with respect to
the research concern. I increased my knowledge towards both data collection methods like
primary and secondary data collection methods (Jeff Zabin and Gresh Brebach, 2008). I also
gained my understanding towards the traditional consumer marketing strategy, hybrid
consumer marketing strategy, and modern consumer marketing strategy that could be
effective in the evaluation of consumer behaviour.
