of plastic. It can be used by various organizations so that the carbon emission can be reduced and
also it will assist in creating sustainability. It is one of the most beneficial aspect for the
environment and has been useful for the organization to reduce the cost which is related to
packaging process. It has also been analysed that biodegradable plastics are really easy to be
repair and also it reduces down the pollution level which has been created because of the use of
plastic. The use of biodegradable packaging has assisted in saving the environment and it really
had positive impact on environment (Serier and Aoufi, 2017). It can be said that various
measures are also been taken by the government so that the organizations are been engaged in
making use of bio-degradable packaging. This has helped them in saving flora and fauna. It has
also helped them in creating sustainability related to agriculture resources. The main purpose for
making use of the biodegradable packaging is that the environment has been suffering from the
environment pollution. This needs to be minimised as soon as possible. This will assist them in
saving the lives of animal as well as plants. Government is also being engaged in creating
awareness among the organizations, communities and groups so that they can be involved in
making use of the sustainable packaging. It has been analysed that biodegradable packaging can
reduce down the carbon-dioxide level in the environment which can be really beneficial for the
environment. Biodegradable plastics are basically those that has been decomposed easily. It is
being recommended to the organizations to make use of biodegradable plastics so that the
sustainability is been created in the environment. These type of plastics are being taken as most
eco-friendly and also it has been extracted that biodegradable plastics provide most benefits to
the environment. This has been recommended that the use of these type of plastic items needs to
be updated.

diseases or any other man – made activities. It can be said that mostly FMCG companies have
been involved in making use of the plastic containers. It has been extracted that there are various
direct and non-direct impact on the environment because of making use of non-biodegradable
items. All of the impact is negative in nature and has adverse impact on environment. It has been

analysed that biodegradable polymers are one of the most desirable and sustainable strategy.
These polymers are basically being designed to degrade with the help of Fungi, algae and has a
positive impact on the environment. It can create sustainability effect and also making use of the
biodegradable items can reduce the environment pollution. It has also reduced down the level of
carbon-dioxide in the environment. It has one of the most positive impact on the environment.
Government is also being engaged in making people aware about the benefits of making use of
bio-degradable plastics. This has assisted them in creating most sustainable impact on the
environment. It has also been evaluated that non-biodegradable waste can cause pollution and

 To reduce use of plastic in industry sector by using non-renewable resources.
 To create awareness amongst the people to live with pollution free environment

Theme 1: safeguard the environment from pollution and waste/ garbage

As per the view of Ahmed and Ikram, (2016) biodegradable plastics can assist in providing
the protection to the environment from the pollution and waste that has been created because of
the non-biodegradable products. It has been analysed and evaluated from the research and also
told by the scholars that packaging which is biodegradable in nature has the great capacity to
reduce down the usage of water. It can also reduce down the solid waste which has been created
because of the non-biodegradable packaging. The carbon emissions also get reduced down when
the organizations have been engaged in making use of the biodegradable packaging. It has the
solid positive impact on the environment and also the lives of animals and even plants are being
saved. It has also been analysed that there is various type of biodegradable plastics which can be
used by the organizations so that it can lay positive impact on the environment. There are also
various benefits which are been linked with the biodegradable packaging. It includes that this
packaging is of free of Toxins and is also allergy free. It is an essential component for the
consumers who have health related issues. It has been analysed that owners of the business needs
to have an idea about the ill effects of non-biodegradable packaging. They also need to have
awareness related to the implications of making use non-biodegradable items. It is really
beneficial to the consumers if the business owners are making use of the biodegradable

packaging material needs to be done. This will assist in reducing down the carbon emissions
which has been produced because of the plastic products. Synthetic and natural materials needs

to be used instead of the plastic materials. This will assist the business in saving the environment
and also pollution will be in control.
Problems Identified
There are various problems that are been linked when searching for the secondary
information. It can be evaluated from the research that main problem which arises is that to adopt
biodegradable packing more resources are to be used which again affects environment and its
surroundings. It has also been analysed that so many people are unaware about the positive
impact of the biodegradable plastic. They need to be made aware about it so that sustainability
can be created (Chiralt and et.al., 2020). This will assist in protecting the lives of flora as well as
fauna. It has also been analysed that most of the companies such as FMCG are making use of the
non-biodegradable plastics as they get in cheap and produce various items from it. They need to
start focusing on environment too so that sustainability can be created and the problems related
to not making use of the biodegradable plastic can be reduced. In this research the secondary
information is based on solving the problems that are been given because of the use of non-
biodegradable items.
Conclusion and Recommendation
From the above study it has been summarised that there has been positive impact on the
environment when organizations, individuals and groups has been involved in making use of the
biodegradable plastic. This has created sustainability in the environment and also it has provided
benefits to the flora and fauna lives. It has also been analysed that biodegradable polymers have
been taken from the natural sources such as plants so they have a positive impact on the
environment. It has also been evaluated by the secondary research that making use of
biodegradable plastics has also provided the positive impact on the agriculture sector. There has
been various type of biodegradable plastics which has also been extracted from the micro-
organisms or even some of the elements are been extracted from the animals. There have been
various initiatives taken by the government which has been utilised by them to create awareness
among the public. It has all been about the ill-effects of making use of non-biodegradable items
and the positive effect of the biodegradable plastics. It has been evaluated that the increase in use
of non-biodegradable items has been giving rise to the concerns and that too on global level. This
must be addressed as making use of the non-biodegradable plastics has been giving rise to the
pollution. This has affected lives of plants and animals and they have been in adverse situation

because of making use of non-biodegradable products. It has also been analysed that there needs
to be a reduction in the use of non-biodegradable waste so that protection can be provided to the
environment. This has assisted in protecting the environment. It has been evaluated that lot of
secondary information has been collected on the subject matter and there has been so many
problems that has been identified because of the making use of non-biodegradable products.
