innovation. In addition, it is necessary to adopt changes in business functions to improve
accuracy and productivity. This report will discuss about the Business Information System

Introduction
In this era, most of the businesses have based on the Information System (IS), as
many processes have used for managing business including technical and non-technical
operations. A restaurant is based on the different types of operation including reservation and
other processes. To do so, the information should be used for managing business functions to
improve profit and productivity. Therefore, a firm should aware about the innovations and
technologies that can be used for their businesses. It will make a huge impact on the
businesses in the long term. Customers have required online services for reservations and
other things, such as feedback and suggestions (Chen, Chiang, & Storey, 2012). This report
will analyze the critical impact of the BIS system on the CKE restaurant. Moreover, this
report will discuss about the nature of information as well as the business re-engineering
process.
Role of BIS in restaurant CKE
In the case of CKE restaurant, the company has faced issues in managing their
products supply and demand. There are many benefits to a BIS system that are helpful in the
management of different operations. The restaurant can identify its sales based on a daily and
weekly basis, which can be used for creating orders for suppliers. In the case of Big Burger,
the company can identify the ratio of the sale based on various things (Collier, 2012).
Moreover, most of the things can be managed using data and information that can be
provided by the IS-system as well. The business environment has based on market knowledge
as well as internal processes data. Thus, it is necessary to improve the data and information
about the business based on data analytics (Consultus, 2020). Many other frameworks are
available in the market to manage business environments. However, most of the systems have
used for improving all the programs in business. In addition, there are many benefits of IS-
systems, which is helpful in the improvement of the dynamic business environment (Hočevar
& Jaklič, 2010).
Additionally, the dynamic business environment has affected the sales and purchase
of a firm. In the case of CKE, the customers have ordered new burgers because of their taste
and other benefits. Thus, the company should increase the supply of the burger metrical based
on the sales data. Data analytics can be helpful in the handling of the dynamic business
environment (Isik, Jones, & Sidorova, 2013).

In addition, IS-systems have used for different types of operations, which is based on
the requirement of a firm. A restaurant has required a reservation system to manage its
customers in an easy way. Therefore, a manager can make proper arrangements according to
the reservation system (Laney, 2012).
Most of the IS systems have used for managing and data and other processes. Most
processes can be managed using IS-systems. To do so, there are many good impacts of IS
systems in the management of the business functions (Levinson, 2007).
Impact of IS on Decision-making process
Decision-making is necessary for increasing profit and revenue. Besides, data
analytics can be beneficial for managing internal and external decisions. Most of the business
functions can be managed using business analytics. There are many changes in data
collection and data management in a proper manner (Mentz, Jooste, & Van Biljon, 2014).
BIS systems have provided reports and data about basic business operations. CKE can
use BIS systems for identifying sales of their burger and other products (Levinson, 2007).
However, all the products have a specified figure according to their sales. Besides, decision-
making is easier and more beneficial for the profit of a company. it is useful for waste control
as well. Walmart has used BIS systems for managing their decisions, as IT/IS strategy has
included in the business strategy as well. There are many good things in business process
management (Zeng, Li, & Duan, 2012). Moreover, the BIS system has used for decision
making that is an important part of a business. Walmart has used BIS systems for managing
the supply chain and other functions (Nedelcu, 2013).
Business process re-engineering
In the case of a retail business, data analytics is necessary to make proper decisions.
Besides, the process can redesign based on the data and information. It is based on the
process of Monitoring as well. It makes huge changes because of initiate change (Vercellis,
2011). New changes have required to manage all the things. In addition, innovation has used
for making changes in the business processes that are the best way to improve the results
(Obeidat, North, Richardson, & Rattanak, 2015). There are many changes in the basic
processes of business including traditional processes. CKE should include new processes to
manage all the business processes. There are many good outcomes in many processes. The
company can manage all the things. Besides, most of the things can be managed using data

and business analysis. Walmart has included new processes (Sabherwal & Becerra-
Fernandez, 2012). Thus, reconstruction is a basic need in the restaurant business, as
customers have required changes in the basic structure of a place as well to feel new (Trieu,
2017).

Process diagnosis is necessary for identifying issues in the business. Feedbacks can be
used for the diagnosis process. It is the best way to take feedback in positive ways. It can be
beneficial for managing new processes of a business as well (Vercellis, 2011). Business
processes can be monitored using their data and information. Thus, manger should know
about their daily, weekly and monthly data. Moreover, financial year data is also important to
know about the profit and loss in the company to make desirable changes in the business
functions (Turban, Sharda, & Delen, 2010).
Furthermore, CKE can include cloud computing for fast response and more security.
In addition, there are many good things in the BIS system that can be used for managing
micro factors as well as macro factors of a firm as well (Van Der Lans, 2012). Thus, the
company can change the production and sales of the product, which has based on various
perspectives. In addition, there are many good impacts of the new processes, which have
attracted customers as well. Thus, the company should focus on the changes in the business
processes. It will help in advertising and marketing as well. Most of the firms have used data

and information for decision making. CKE can adopt new systems for handing issues and
challenges in their sales and other processes. It will be better for their business functions as
well. In addition, the company can focus on the system processes as well.

In conclusion, most business decisions have based on BIS systems. It has based on the
nature of the IS systems. This report has provided a critical evaluation of IS systems. There
are many good impacts on the businesses off BIS systems. The decision-making process can
be modified using BIS systems. It can provide better data and reports for decision making.
This report has discussed about the dynamic business environments and their benefits to the
restaurant using BIS systems. Business processes can be redesign based on the monitoring
and analysis of those processes. Business process re-engineering is helpful in the
development of a business to manage critical issues and challenges in the industry. Finally,
there are many good impacts of the BIS system on the restaurant. CKE can adopt a new IS-
system for properly managing their decisions. It will affect their profit and revenue as well.
Recommendations
A restaurant can successfully run its business using the BIS system. It can help in
designing new business processes. Moreover, business process re-engineering will helpful in
competitive businesses. To do so, the CKE should adopt the BIS system for improving their
business analysis skills. There are some important recommendations for the restaurant and
other business to improve their businesses based on the critical analyses of business
functions, which areas:
 Develop training and awareness about the new IS-systems to the employees
 Establish security systems for data and information
 Implement BIS system to improve profit and revenue of the company
 Create new processes based on the business process re-engineering
The CKE should adopt these recommendations for improving their performance and
productivity as well.
