Database Selection
The selected database for this topic is the PostgreSQL.
Introduction
The Postgre SQL is a object –oriented database management system which based on
the POSTGRE version 4.2 which was developed in the University of California at the
Berkeley Computers in the department of Science. The database had pioneered in various
type of database concepts which were realized much later in the other database concepts1. In
addition to this, the database supports the following part of the SQL Standards and features
such as the following:
complex queries
foreign keys
triggers
views
transactional integrity
multiversion concurrency control
Additonally the database also provides various type of features such as the Modification
and distribution by anyone at very low cost, be it private, public, commercial or
academic.
Requirements of Installation
The minimal requirements for the installation of the Postgre database is that the
operating system should be Windows 7, 8.1, or 10. Windows Server 2008 or later and 75 MB
of disk available for the installation of the database in the system. Additionally, a Unix
