Understanding People and Organizations
1. There are 5 strengths which I feel are most related to me that I found when I was done
doing the Gallup survey. These are Includer, Relator, Significance, Positivity, and Woo. I
learned that by being an includer I think I can become a good team player. Includer is the
person who builds the network around himself and includes more and more people in his life.
I am a relator too as I believe in creating good relationships and be with the people who are
important to me. I am an optimistic person who looks towards life in the most hopeful and
thankful way. I love being significant in the eye of other people. I love being respected by
other people. I love being wooed by people. My nature is that I love winning over other
people (Cliffton & Harter, 2003).
2. I became surprised by one of my strengths which is positivity. I have always considered
myself as the negative person. Whenever a situation comes in my life where I have to make
decisions, I will always think about the worst-case scenario first and then take any decision.
This can be known as fear of being a failure too. I have had people in my life who says that I
always step behind when there comes the chance of taking any decisions because of the fear
of taking wrong decisions. While according to me, thinking about the worst prepares me for
every kind of situation in my life. And that is the reason, I considered myself pessimistic.
Therefore, I was surprised to see the result of positivity as my strength (Maximize, 2018).
3. There were two of the strengths Includer and Relator which I resonated with the most. I
have always been a sort of person who takes his relationships seriously whether it is at home
with family or it is in my workplace as well. I always try and talk to new people for new
experiences and build a network around me. Relationships for me matter more than anything
else in my life as these are the things in life which heal you and which gives you a sense of
living a good and healthy life. When one includes more people in his life, he learns more
(Romero, 2012). This is what I believe. Building new networks with people can give a person
new experiences by hearing and observing them as well as I believe it is good for future as
well as in today’s world the networks are considered very important.
4. These are the 5 strengths which I think are very important in building up my future and
in my future development. As I have already said above that building up the networks will
help me in my future too as in today’s world, being an includer is really the greatest strengths
a person can have. If all these strengths are included together, they all might be able to help
me in various ways. Majorly it always depends on the future aspects as to what a person’s
goals are but in case if one possesses these strengths, it obviously will become easy for him
or her to manager in the whole new world. If I am able to have some trustworthy people in

my life with whom with positivity of I can attain new goals, this would really be the best
situation of future ever (Asplund & Blacksmith, 2011).
5. The greatest challenge for me to reach towards my goal can be fear of taking new
decisions and flaunting myself out in front of people the way I am. Fear of failure when
persists in a person’s mind, he or she is unable to reach at any goal as then the person will not
even take any step further to reach toward the goal of his life. Still the strengths of positivity
can make me be hopeful and optimistic towards life (Joseph, Wood, Susan , & Linley, 2006).
This strength can teach me to not be fearful towards taking any new decisions and will
definitely give me some power when I at time I will lose. Positivity is that kind of energy
which can just be sensed by a person and it also gives so much of power to the person to lead
his or her life in the most simple and happy manner (Parmar, 2015).
