Gallup Talent Profile Survey
The Gallup talent survey program is an excellent program that helps one identify and put
more focus on his or her natural talents. I like the fundamental idea of the program that helps one
put more effort into his or her talent rather than giving more attention to his or her weaknesses
(Gordon,2013). This is a good idea that can help in team building and management. I opine that
the strengths-based articles have productive information to rely on. The program is outstanding.
However, no program can be perfect. The survey includes several questions that you need to
answer to rate yourself. Some of the questions were somehow hard to answer, and as for me,
they are subject to inaccuracy. One can easily give incorrect information which is hard to prove.
Generally, in my opinion, the survey program is great due to the several good philosophies and
ideas and the final report gives you positive talents, this makes you feel privileged and good
about yourself (Robinson and Aronica, 2014). This is the value of the survey, and it makes
everyone feel positive hence it is useful.
The report from the survey gave me five talents that described every bit of myself. I was
very much surprised at seeing the personalized report with every sentence describing every bit of
myself. One of the talents that surprised me is the context talent (Dang, 2018). I was surprised by
this theme since researching about history has been part of me. However, I could not imagine if
any of my close friends or relatives could know about this. I am always passionate in seeking to
know how historic events affect today’s peoples’ way of life. What happened in the bygone days
helps me make sense of the current conditions or situations that we find ourselves in. I usually
derive a lot of pleasure when conversing with people who value history since we learn much
from each other when conversing as we exchange ideas. I enjoy getting information from experts
who have past experiences. This part of talent got me by surprise since I could not imagine if

anyone could have realized this but through the survey's report, I felt happy and confident in
continuing with my nature if doing research.
I was very much impressed with how the report gave an accurate description of the self-
assurance talent. I am always determined and confident in achieving my own goals. I am always
confident that my decisions are right since I am always determined in digging to the causes of
anything I am dealing with hence I have the necessary knowledge to make the right decisions
(Zimmerman, 2013). I am always in constant thought-filled conversations with my friends and
classmates where I give my ideas and expound on them supporting them with facts. However, I
also listen and asses’ other peoples’ suggestions or rather proposals on the subject in a discussion
(Smith, 2013). I always thrive in such settings since I am always knowledgeable on the subject
and because I use easy to understand words in describing my ideas or rather proposals. This
report is essential since it will help me in my engagements with people or peers or either team
members (Wolsey, and Whitrod-Brown, 2013). Apart from the self-assurance talent. I also
resonate with consistency talent. When my friends saw the personalized report, they were
amazed at how the results were accurate. They told me how I always adhered to routines. This is
true since I still insist on following rules as they are. I always follow my timetable as scheduled
in circumstances that I must by-pass the planned procedures, and I always make up to them.
The personalized report on my talents is very vital in helping me achieve my career or
rather professional goals. The knowledge from the report is useful in that it will help me in
giving professional management and marketing expertise. The talents knowledge has made me
feel positive, and this will help me in teambuilding. However, one greatest challenge in
achieving my professional goals is the problem of procrastination. Procrastination is a disease I
need to cure using my able talents. The talent of I being competitive will help me cure the

problem of procrastination since I always have the urge to win and whatever comes on my way
to success I will strive to deal with it. The survey program is great in helping one focus more on
his or her talents in giving out better results on self-improvement and the world at large.
