based on the Barcelona and its tourism, it is a cosmopolitan capital of Spain's Catalonia region.
The main objective behind respective assignment is to solve the problem of over tourism of
Barcelona by using innovative idea in order to gain competitiveness.

Overview
Barcelona which is the cosmopolitan capital of Spain's Catalonia region known for their art and
architecture inflicted from the issue of over tourism by cutting cruise ships and limiting the
expansion of their airports. Barcelona faced the ongoing battle against the perceived tourism by
balancing by keeping the communities financially alive without any kind of destruction. The
research shows that the no. of visitors avails the overnight stays in year 2016 increased by 1.7
million in 1990 to more than the 8 million in year 2016. it is surprising fact for the tourism
board as city is not so much big in their territory as other European equivalents such as Paris or
London.
