Executive Summary
In the present report it has been studied that performance of employee will be affected by
the operations that is being used in completing this project. This study is based upon Gary
Anderson and Park who has done PhD in mechanical engineering. Gary has solving the problem
related to traumatic and Park is doing research on opportunity that has available for future.
Research and development has done to implement new project that will be useful for the future
course of action. This study has done research on Spartan Missile that is used by army. There has
different stakeholders that are involved in the project.

INTRODUCTION
1. Project scope and its impact on performance of employees
No, the project is not defined clearly at the early stage so it will be difficult to understand
the main objectives of this project. Gary Anderson and Park are mechanical engineer in which
Gray is solving the problem of traumatic and Parks try to bring more opportunities that will be
lead down after the research and development. After sometime things become changed and Park
started its electronic and designing that will have boosting experience in the market. As there is
more money spent on the research and development will lead to bring more loss to the company.
There are so many challenges that is being faced by both of them (Verzuh, 2015). After the
failure of their business in Research and development. As Blue spider project is not successfully
launched in the market.
Major scope creep in the project is that there is no control on the growth of the product in
the project. As this project is basically depended on the improvement in the Spartan Missile.
Park also invested in the research and development but after sometime it also fails. As research
and development is the primary focus by every industry to implement new things in the project.
This project is mainly emphasized on missile that is being by Army. The changes that is being
made in the project is that less investment is being done on research and development part this
will lead to disturb functioning of the project in between.
There is a greater impact after changing in the project operation as performance of
employee is decreasing day by day that will have greater impact on stakeholders. As the project
is based on technical field so proper equipment is required to manufacture missile for
army(Fewings and Henjewele, 2019). This will also have an impact on the project tools that is
being used to manufacture missile. As park also increase the salary but it will also fail army
wanted new design so it will be difficult to provide original design to them so this will create an
impact on the performance of the project.
2. Strategic position
Starting Blue Spider project is the right decision because it is related to the Spartan
Missile that is being used by the army person for safeguarding the country from terrorist. It is
also important to save their lives from the attack so proper equipment is to be used to make
missile for future use. I think this project help in protecting country from the terror attack as if
powerful missile is being made army will not have to worry about the protection of people this

will lead to improve the condition of country(Heldman, 2018). This project will help in
providing various opportunities to the people who are providing services in selling missile to the
people of the country. This will be the truth that the company has done fraud with other
competitors in the market that will decrease the goodwill of the company.
The main aim of the project is to made missile that is useful for the protection of people
in the country. This study is based upon the two person who are mechanical engineer want to
start their business by doing technical studies. This will lead to increase their knowledge in the
equipment that is being used to made missile for the project. They also invest in the research and
development in making missile for future use in the company. As it is being seen from the study
that some fraud is done by the company that will lead to heavy loss to them in the future. The
project in starting is working in project engineering and then it shifted into program management
field. There are few engineers who are failed in making the product as per the need of the army.
As program management is not an easy task for the engineering background people to work upon
it for future course of action(Joslin and Müller, 2015). A technical matrix form is used made the
missile by the Blue Spider company in order to produce result that will satisfying proper needs
and wants of the army. Many equipment is being used by the Gary and Paul to build a missile for
the future course of action.
3. Stakeholders involved in the project
Early involvement of stakeholder in the project will disturb the functioning of the project
or it may affect its operation for future. Stakeholders are also having share in the project that will
provide funding in the project. As this project need investment in different areas like research
and development, tools and equipments that are needed to manufacture the product. There are
various strategies that is being used by the company to increase its profit for the future course of
action. Research and development needs more investment as compared to other operations in the
company. Stakeholders sometimes become barrier in doing work in its own way. This project
will related to the technical terms that is being used for doing business in the future. As there will
be temperature maintained to made the tools that is required for preparing missile.
Key stakeholders of the project are Henry Gable, Gary Anderson and Paul Evans. Two
stakeholders that are having interest and power in the project are Gary Anderson and Henry
Gable. They both are the powerful stakeholder of the company. There are many operations that
will affect the functioning of the project in the future(Hornstein, 2015). Stakeholders in the

company plays an important role in deciding fund and providing resources that is needed to
complete the project. There are many ways in which stakeholder is interfering in different
projects for future. It is having a great potential to work upon the resources that is useful for the
project management. There are different effective programs required to the resources that is
being used for the purpose of doing work. This project needs resources that is being used
completing the project in time. As stakeholders may involve in the decisions that is being taken
by the project management.
4. Gary qualified as project manager
Yes, Gary qualified as the project management that is being needed in the situation of
deciding different aspects of the project. It ensures that resources are proper utilized or not in the
project. Efficient use of resources will help in growth of the project and it can be done in right
manner for future. As Gary involved all its efforts in completing the project in timeline so it will
be considered as qualified manager for future(Svejvig and Andersen, 2015). In this project
technical resources are used to made missile for the future use in the project. Gary was doing this
project to solve the problem of traumatic problems. As the project is based on the electronic and
structural design that is being used to prepare missile in the project. There is department of
defence that is being used in making various projects that is will lead to save the life of the
people. Gary is doing work with park but after that they will separate their business.
There time comes when engineers of the Park corporation are doing work effectively.
Recession will also need to be lower down the investment in the research and
development(Sánchez, 2015). Gary is made its full effort in completing the project on time so
that every member involved will be get reward of completing project that will lead to increase
their efficiency on time and hence very well utilize the resources for the project so that it will not
be able to cope with difficulties that is being occurred in the near future. As Gary required person
that will be more beneficial for the project that will increase efficiency in doing work. He also
accepted challenges while completing this project. The major problem is regarding the hurdle of
staffing. Mainly the project is depended upon the profit that will create a problem for the project
to ensure that the project will be utilized properly(Ramazani and Jergeas, 2015). As Gary a
manager utilize the time and resources properly so that efficient use can be made by it.

5.Handling of Major Risk of Blue Spider Project
In the development of missile there are different factors can create problem to the
company. In the blue spider project there are many factors that make the project difficult. In the
condition of economic crisis there are different problems (Meredith, Mantel Jr and Shafer,
2017). Unemployment, inflation and disturbance in the flow of money are the main impact of
organization. In the condition of recession the economy of country face huge fall this cause many
problems in organization. Before the economic crisis situation there are more than 6000
employees in the company. After the economic crisis there are only 2500 employees remaining
in organization. It is a big trouble to the company to retain the employees to maintain the
performance of company. Productivity of organization is based on the performance of
employees. The reduction in number of employees reduce the productivity of company.
This is one of the biggest risk for the blue spider project. The other problems for the blue
spider project are legal, political, technical and ethical issues. For a missile development
company it is really important to take permission of the legal authority and government authority
(Larson and Gray, 2017). Without their permission it will be really difficult to run the project
without and legal issues. The product of the company is going to use by the defence force of the
country. To get this tender they must have to follow all the different terms and conditions to get
approval from legal, government and defence authority. In the technical issue the compatibility
of product with the technology of defence forces. This is a major issue for the company top meet
up with their technology. Cause of miss match in the technology can cause major failure of
project. In the missile development the company have to make large investment. This large
capital required for the project can go all in vain. This also can cause legal problems to the
company. The other issue in the blue spider project are social and ethical problems. The social
problems in the project are also a big risk to the company. Missile is the product of company and
it is weapon of destruction. It is major issue for human right societies. The destruction can cause
death of many human lives. In the production it is major issue to the company. To design the
missile in the ethical way is not possible. The people who are not in favour of wear can cause
major problem to company (Kerzner, 2018). The other issues in the project are social issues, this
issues in the company are the education level of employee and risk factor in the production. In
the process of missile development different kind of explosives are used. There is larger risk of
uncontrolled explosine ion company that can create major damage to the company. Any kind of

explosion in the company may cause deaths of man, loss of technology, loss of raw material and
loss of capital. These are the main risk factors in the blue spider project.
6. Justification for selection of types of project organisation
Yes, functional employees of customers and contractors should permitted to
communicate with each other without going project office. As communication is necessary
between managers and employees of both department because employees of customers gives
detailed of demand and availability of raw material to employees of contractors so that they can
provide more raw materials and other products to customers employees.
Further, huge number of employees are working in the organisation and it is not possibles
for them to meet at project office and it consumes more time of managers which in turn effects
profitability & performance of employees. Hence, it is essential to establish communication
between employees of customers and contractors. Project Manager of Parks Corporation aims at
lowering cost of production and minimisation of time thus, facilitating communication through
telephones and other electronic devices would be beneficial for company(Lee, Reinicke, Sarkar
and Anderson, 2015).
For Example- During Design reviewing meeting plan of developing verification mix has
been taken by gary for final selection of raw material for project but manufacturing plans are not
developed by manufacturing department. Hence, this meeting cannot be held at project office
and for that communication through other channels are also required to establish to resolve
problems of communication break down.
Parks Corporation is operate business of research and electronics & structural design. As
company is operating its business in both research & development and engineering selection of
this organisation is appropriate. Parks Corporation mainly offering services of project
management and organisational structure of company is formed after evaluating structure of
various organisations thus, it is a most appropriate structure. Company is also growing and
offering different types of facilities. Moreover, various phases & problems are faced by company
and after that this organisation continuing its business in the market which gives experience and
helps other organisations in developing their business after resolving different types of
problems(Kerzner and Kerzner, 2017).
Park Corporation is selected in Blue Spider Project as company is engaging in research &
development programme and if this R&D project becomes successful than that will lead 500

million dollar program. Further, this project improves structural capabilities of Spartan missile.
Park Corporation is sub contractor in this project as company is having expertise in technical
field.
Selection of this organisation for Blue Spider Project is justifiable as company is good at
carrying out research & development programmes as this company also completed other projects
of Lord Corporation. Selection of this project organisation is also beneficial for company itself
because with this company can win over its competitors. Further, this company is adapting
different corporate strategies and implementing matrix organisational structure at work place
thus, operations firm are effective and successful which in turn provides success of Blue Spider
Project.
7. Critical evaluation of team work
Team Work is most important element as it contributes towards success and development
of an organisation. An organisation is unable to perform a task in an effective manner if there is a
lack of team work and it creates misunderstanding between employees working at different
departments(Brignon and Rat, 2018).
Project Management team of Park Corporation does all task in teams which in turn
improves performance of company. Project Management of Park Corporation consists of
program manager that manager will in turn report to Director of Programme Management.
Further, this projects are monitored and controlled by assistant project managers to identify and
resolving problems in each project. This assistant managers will further report to Project
Managers and Directors of Engineer Department. From the above information it is evaluated that
project management department of company is working as a team and that benefits business
organisation in improving profitability of projects. Moreover, Programme Manager perform
focuses on cost minimisation and in managing time whereas assistant programme manager
continuously make efforts for improving technical performance of research & development
programmes.
Teamwork is also reflected in Project 2 of Blue Spider Project and this promote a positive
atmosphere. Further, this builds relationship among employees and other individuals working in
development of project which in turn provides efficiency in task. Different managers working in
project are having different qualification, experience and knowledge with this project managers
are able to find out positive outcome of research project. Team work increases competition

among employees and with that all employees contributes their best with that this project can be
completed on time(Costa, Passos and Bakker, 2015).
8. Learnings from Blue Spider Project
From Blue Spider Project I learned so many things. At 1st I learned that team works is a
most important element in a group project and it contributes towards long term sustainable
growth of a business organisation. Further, I get to know that communication is an essential
element without which an organisation cannot render its services in an effective and efficient
manners and it is also essential for a organisation to use different modes & channels of
communication as with this a company can deliver its services in less time and efforts. From this
project I also learned different types of organisational structures used in a business organisation.
Furthermore, I learned techniques for minimising communication gap between employees
working at different departments. Different types of research & development techniques are
learned during the preparation of thgis project management report.
It was a great experience while doing this group project. This group project enhances my
skills and knowledge. I learned how to work in group and this group project also enhances my
communication skills. Further, I learned effective business techniques and methods which are
beneficial for me in near future. I am able to make decisions. Moreover, my knowledge about
management styles and techniques also improved during this group project. I became punctual
and started completing my work on time after working on this project. This project is beneficial
for me as with this l am able to generate different business ideas with that I am able to start m
own business in future.
