education to students it is very essential for universities or schools to employ qualified as well as
talented workforce who could put their maximum efforts in providing best knowledge to
them(Quispe Torre Torre and et. al., 2021). In the following report the institution which has been
taken is London School of science and technology which was founded in the year 2003 and is
based in London. This report mainly focus on detailed information about respective university
and issues it has been facing. Furthermore the report also contains explanation about competition
environment through executing Porter’s five forces and target audience of the selected university
has been analysed through stop model. This report also explain external environment of the
respective university by applying PEST model. Lastly from the application of these models some
problems has been identified that the university is experiencing.
MAIN BODY

London School of science and technology was established in the year 2003 and is a
private education institute (London School of Science and Technology, 2021). This university
offers several types of courses to its students which are related to health, it, business
management and social care sector. This university has several campus which includes prime
locations such as Birmingham, Luton and London. The head office of this private institute is
located in London slash Wembley. Every campus of this institute is supervised by Dean and
consist of administrative department along with academic staff who are responsible to deliver
quality education to the students. The respective institute follow the values which mainly
involves integrity, excellence, transparency, accountability and professionalism. This educational
institute has developed its new approach of learning that mainly focus on welcoming those
people who wants to pursue high quality education for their career. The respective university
practice learning environment and quality teaching which results in Academy qualification and
professional environment (London School of Science and Technology, 2021).
Vision
The vision of this private institute is too provide students a quality educational platform
which welcomes all the people from diverse background, aspiration and capabilities. The

Mission
The main aim of this institute is to become a leading educational university which tries to
provide quality education to people and motivate them to learn while overcoming all their

Problems London School of Science and Technology is facing
The main problem which the selected organization is experiencing consist of entrance of
various new institute in the market which has increased the pressure of recruiting qualified staff
in the institute so that quality education could be provided to students. This results in appointing
from decreasing group of qualified candidates, since applicants good search for jobs with other
institute in the same sector(Kancharla, 2021). The institute is facing main problem which
includes how to recruit qualified and talented professor who could deliver exceptional education.
Then another issue which is face by the institute is to how to attract talented people into higher
education with knowledge and skill along with how to create positive working environment. The
institute wants to achieve competitive advantage in the market by analysing working of other
institutes.
Porter’s Five Forces
Bargaining Power of Suppliers: This element of the model assist in explaining how
actions of various suppliers could influence business operations off companies. In case of
London School of science and technology, it has been observed that bargaining power of
suppliers is comparatively low because of the presence of large number of suppliers in the
market.
Bargaining Power of Customers: This component of the framework assist in
determining how behaviour and trading patterns of customers could impact on business functions
(Hoffer and Wieszt, 2018). In terms of selected institute, the bargaining power of customers is
high because students are the only one on which the functions of university depends upon.

people. In case of the respective university, it has been evaluate that students mainly get
influenced by new educational trends such as digital courses which could divert their attention
from the respective University. It is very important for it to appoint skilful and knowledgeable
employees to provide quality education to students.
Technological Factors: These factors are related to advanced technologies which could
impact on business operations (Oliver Puerta, 2018). In case of selected University, it is focusing
on developing new technology by introducing online courses and offering subjects related to
technology sector.

From the above discussion it has been evaluated that universities are liable to provide quality
education to the students. The institute must be accountable to motivate students so that they
could enhance their knowledge and skills which could provide them success in professional life.
It has also been concluded that universities must examine their competitive environment so that
they could improve their weaknesses. It is also very essential for them to conduct macro-
