INTRODUCTION
Cloud computing is the service that provide on demand services of computing, which
includes databases, storage, servers, networking, analytics, intelligence on the internet to deliver
the speedy innovation, economies on scale and flexibility of resources, this study report will
discuss the importance of the cloud computing, development of cloud computing, technology
that is used in cloud computing, software and technological platform used in cloud computing,
the type of firm that uses cloud computing, how the cloud computing can be used as an effective
tool at last this report will discuss the relationship between the cloud computing and the digital
technology.

A Importance of cloud computing
 The cloud computing helps the firm in reducing costs in many ways, the firm's pay only
for those resources that they use which makes up this process as an economical option
then buying or controlling own resources.
 The cloud computing enables the firm to use as many resources as they want and as less
as they want. And the owner of the firm choose it in the flexibility.
 The all the data that is being saved in the cloud services can be recovered quickly, the use
of cloud as a memory is so useful for everyone.
B Development of cloud computing
The cloud computing refers to the renting of the computer services, this idea have come in 1950.
The innovations in these technologies have contributed in the development of cloud computing.
These technologies are as follows:-
 Distributed system :- the distributed system helps in the sharing of resources and using
them effectively and efficiently, the problem with this system is that all the distributed
system should have to be in one place and to solve this problem the innovation is made
and led to establishment of three new systems, these are : Mainframe computing, cluster
computing, grid computing. In the main frame computing it takes a huge cost in
processing to reduce the cost, the cluster computing system came as an alternative but in
this computing the problem of geographical boundary still existed which helped in

innovation of grid computing, it has solved both of the problem but it has only one
problem which is low network connectivity strength (Srivastava.Khan, 2018).
 Virtualization :- it is mainly refers to the process of creating up a virtual layer on the
hardware which allows the customer to run the multiple devices on the hardware, it is key
technology of cloud computing services such as Amazon EC2 (Sunyaev, 2020).
 Web 2.0 ; — it is the interface by which the cloud computing interacts with clients, web
2.0 examples are – google map, Facebook etc.
 Service orientation :- it acts as the reference model that support the cloud computing, it
helps in lowering down the problems that occur in the cloud computing.
 Utility computing :- the final technology that have established the cloud computing, in
which all the problems that have occurred before are being solved. The utility computing
is a type of model that elaborates the service provisioning techniques.
All of this technology have commonly helped out in the development or evolution of cloud
computing.
C Technology used in cloud computing
The main technology that is being used in cloud computing is virtualisation, discussion of
virtualisation in brief as follows:- virtualisation is regarded as the process of sharing of the
licensed keys to the physical instances of the application among the variety of users of various
firms, the main motive behind this technology is delivering of best version of cloud to it's clients,
some of the type of virtualisation is as follows- hardware virtualisation, OS virtualisation,
storage virtualisation, server virtualisation.
D Technological platform and software
Cloud computing technology mainly relies on the automation technology. As it is the third party
provider platform which delivers the resources over the network connectivity. It can be easily
access by the user irrespective of their location and their device (Bican and Brem, 2020). CC
application develop by griping the platform, the main technology is used for CC is virtualisation.
As for the CC it is of three type which are private, public and hybrid companies own their own
cloud technology. Thus for the public cloud the platform is provided by third party for an

example AWS (amazon web service) cloud platform by Amazon, Microsoft azure platform by
Microsoft company.
E Type of business and organisation that use cloud computing technology
CC is the emerging technology and it is adapted by all size of business as it is cost
efficient. As hospitality, healthcare, real estate, automotive many industries are benefited by the
CC. It helps all businesses to streamline their operations (Verhoef and Bijmolt, 2019). As
organisation uses the CC for accessing the information and to store the data on the server so that
it can be used anytime by easy accessing. It is also found that large enterprises use the multiple
cloud service. Although Amazon organisation itself provides the large cloud platform which is
AWS that is the combination of the IaaS (infrastructure as a service), PaaS (platform as a
service), and SaaS(software as a service). Thus other large firm as Microsoft offer the Microsoft
azure.
F Technology can use as business tool
Cloud computing helps the business in managing their data, it is widely used technology
which works over the internet connectivity. For the business they use this CC technology for
better accessing as from any worldwide location organisation can access the data which can be
used for their business productivity. Before it is not possible to access the information from
anywhere for that it is important to bring the software and hardware component carry along
which is not possible. As well as it is cost saving option for them, as in past business usually
invest lots of money on maintaining the hardware and software, but now with the help of this
they can easily cut down the cost which is invested on optimising the licence for hardware and
software components.

Digital technologies are advanced technology which are the system, resources that can be
utilised to store and analysed the data for better output. There are many digital technologies are
present which is adopted by the businesses in order to smoothly and successfully run their

business. Some digital technologies are Artificial intelligence, block chain, bitcoin, cloud etc.
are efficiently utilised by the organisation to improve their functionalities.
Decision making theory: This theory suggest as how the individual should behave in the
uncertainty. Decision making in business play an significant role to make the decision which is
linked with the profit. It is the cognitive process which results in action course for the several
possible choices (Ghobakhloo and Ching, 2019). Before technologies it was difficult for the
organisation to make the right decision, but after introduction of the digital technology it become
easier for the business to make the decision to satisfy their customers. For an example AI
technology can be used by companies to make fast and accurate decision by using the datasets
with AI. As with this technology business can easily reduce the errors and make the team
efficient to concentrate on their work. As with the help of Artificial intelligence they can easily
collect the information to utilised in good or efficient manner. As to collect the feedbacks from
the consumer and make the report which can lead to the better decision making process. Thus
digital technologies helps the businesses in making decision in complex situation as well.
System theory: System theory in businesses refer as the approach which describe as how
businesses interact with the organisation as whole. It is the study of belief and behaviour of the
individual (Hartley and Sawaya, 2019). It can be understood as the multiple elements works in
harmony so that the large system can perform better and produces the good results. With the help
of the system theory it enables the effective communication so that the problem can be seen in
good opportunistic manner. As system theory act as a analytical framework which is used by the
organisation to manage the different aspects of the technologies from the resource provision to
the result of technology which is used.
Business model:
It is refer as the plan which is utilised by the organisation in order to develop the profit. It
helps in determining the products and services which the organisation proceed to sell. E
commerce business model enables the firm to do business on digital medium to drive revenues.
Some E- business models are-
Business to business (B2B)

It is the kind of E commerce for selling the products between business to business instead
of consumer. It is mainly organised between the two parties which can be a retailer. It offers the
large orders and also gives the security for the sale process. For the B2B business companies can
proceed to use the machine learning technology with this they can easily offer the better
consumer services and it enhances the total sale and reduce the cost also it is optimise for the
retail operations (Riera and Iijima, 2018). Also by using the AI technology companies can easily
gather the relevant information and analyse the data for providing valuable products to the
customers. As the predictive analysis by this technology will help in forecasting the buying
decisions.
Consumer to business(C2B)
` In which the consumer provides the goods to the organisations. This business mainly
concentrates on developing the values from the consumer base by soliciting the feedbacks and
crowdsourcing information’s (Janasz, 2018). In this businesses are benefited from the
consumers, as the customers promote and done the marketing for the organisation. Main example
of this type of business are referral programs, data sharing etc. Amazon is the best example
which uses the C2B business model also other online advertising sites which are google adsense
also uses the C2B schemes.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it is concluded that digital technologies like artificial intelligence,
cloud, machine learning helps the business in analysing or storing the data which can be utilised
in order to produce the desired results. Above report have illustrated the description about the
cloud computing technology how it is used by the business and what software platform is used
for it. Moving on further this report also described the discussion over the digital technology and
business theories and models which covers the decision making and system theory along with the
business to business and consumer to business e commerce model.
