INTRODUCTION
Reflective learning and writing is the process of education which help students to
improve their skills, knowledge and experience of learning as well as aware about their future
plans. By the reflecting writing and learning practises the students can increase their motivation
and engagement in the classroom to acquiring knowledge for future development and higher
grades. Reflective learning practises refers to the exercise of students so they pursue and engage
in continuous learning procedure (Thrassou & et. al. 2022). There are two models of reflective
learning which is Kolb's experimental learning theory and Gibb's Reflective cycle. One of the
model is Kolb's experimental learning theory it was developed in 1984 by David Kolb which
presented four level of reflective learning. Second is Gibb's Reflective cycle it was introduced in
1988 by Graham Gibbs. It provide a structure to writing from experience and education which
can be evaluated by making mistakes then the students will correct it in their future practises.
Kolb's experimental learning theory is a strong academic theory in overall writing
development which helps students and learner to take initiative for their own learning and
growth. By using this approach the learner can face their challenges and threats and make
effective decision for better career. On the other hand, Gibbs' reflective learning cycle helps the
students and learner to develop their knowledge from their own mistakes as well as experiences.
This approach has six steps in its learning cycle which helps them in reflecting their mistakes or
experience at the workplace. It is the process of self assessment of learner in their academic
learning process (Shao & et. al. 2022). There are various method used in the both semesters are
group discussions on recent trends, face to face live sessions, group activities and assessments,
learning from class lectures, live seminars and many other program. In the following report, it
covers about the concepts and applications of these theories in the leaning process. Further, it
covers reflection that will be related to learning in the form of assignment tasks performed by
students in the academic learning.
DESCRIPTION
1. A reflection of semester 1 and the learning which is used to improve the outcomes of the
learning in semester 2
In the starting of my semester, the teacher and my classmate helps me to adapt and adjust
in the environment of institute. The teachers of institute make many efforts to provide healthy

and better environment for the students so they can focus on their learning process for brighter
future. In the initial days of my semester, I was quite low and nervous due to new environment
then after familiar with students, teacher and understand the course of learning I know more
about my self. In the mid of semester, I experienced many changes in my personality and
mindsets which help me to improve my concentration in the class as well as development in my
personality and skills (Higham, Challender & Watts 2022). Through these positive changes I got
to know so much about my self such as my passion, interest, potential and weaknesses which I
need to improve for future and betterment of my life. In the semester 1, throughout the semester,
there are various skills of mine such as adaptability, pro activeness and good listening helps me
to do critical task of the semester related to various crucial topics. I also gained various new
knowledge and skills such as better understanding about the topics and process of learning entire
course. Reflective learning also helps me to understand the nature of people and their way of
thinking as well as now I am aware that future is unpredictable and what are the challenges and
opportunities are forthcoming for you. Further, I learnt about the most important topic such as
business environment, future challenges and trends, legal and economical structure as well as
social cultural, advance technologies and many more which can help me in professional life.
There are various skills such adaptability, analytical or optimistic approach which I
learned throughout this semester that will help me to improve my learning capabilities for the
better outcome in semester 2. these skills helped me to find solutions of various mistakes and
problems and the reasons behind these mistakes so, I can eliminate and reduce these mistake by
improving my commitment and focus on learning in classroom (Yang & et. al. 2022). I also
increase my knowledge by asking question and discuss on various topics with teachers as well as
my class mates that helps me to understand the topic better and good outcome for the next
semesters. It guide me to take more efforts for my future development as well as helps me my
personal and professional career to achieve goals and success. For the achievement of future
goals and success I need to develop effective reflective learning to coordinate my current
learning process and efforts.
a. The core concept, theories and ideas learnt- semester 1 IBOM
There are many topics discussed in above semester that is business environment, future
challenges and trends, legal and economical structure. As well as social cultural, advance
technologies, business operation scope, concept, benefits, functions and management, current

consumer and market trends, competitors challenges and many others. These theories helped me
and my classmates to know more and clear about the concepts and their procedures (Hannibal &
Knight, 2018). I also got to know and understand about many ideas, process and subjects that
were performed with my team co-ordination and efforts which gives guidance to my activities in
learning process related to principles, theories, ideas and concepts.
b. Analysis of learning outcome
In the starting of semester 1 I was unconfident and tense due to less motivation to
perform my assignment effectively. At the mid of this semester I am gaining confidence as well
as my teachers and this semester helped me to understand the topic clearly and do work hard for
future development and learning (Anning-Dorson & et. al. 2022). Theories of learning helped
me to control and know about the role of better performance and quality of my professional
work in an organisation. By improving performance and quality of my work I can contribute to
increases the productivity, sales and profit of the business as well as attract many customers
through better quality and uniqueness of products. If I am working with my full potential and
dedication then I get better opportunities and promotions in my professional career.
c. Outcomes or actions
During this semester I faced many challenges and problems while performing task with
my classmates and team members such as disagreements, communication problems,
understanding problems (Miller & Engemann, 2022). Due to different mindsets and viewpoint
but with communication and mutual efforts we sort out thing and completed the task
successfully. Moreover, I learned various new skills and knowledge such as decision making,
better communication and analytical skills which allowed me to get knowledge about utilisation
of information in correct manner and understanding the use of these information for further
improvement and success. With all these knowledge and skills now I am quite confident and
motivated to do my work with more efficiency and take better decision in the group as compare
to my attitude at initial stage of this semester.
2. reflections of semester 2
In the semester 2, I developed to know about reflective leaning which is the part of my
personal observation of things and persons such as past experiences of academic learning and
behaviour of students or teachers. It helped me throughout semester to perform the assignment
and task better by keeping in mind about my past experiences. It also allows me to analyse and

explore myself for future growth with the help of academic writing and experience. During the
process of this semester I also know about the strength and weakness of mine as well as my team
members. After knowing about strengths and weaknesses, we build trust between us and helped
each other to complete the task in more effective manner. This encouraged and inspired me to
work hard as well as develop better understanding with the help of lectures and live session in
classroom about the importance of reflective learning. It is most essential part in academic
learning process of students to improve their writing, thinking, knowledge and skills for future
success (Akdag, & Tunca, 2022).
Description
a. The core concept, theories and ideas learnt in 2 semester
There are many theories and topics discussed in above semester such as various strategies
of operation management, different theories of reflective learning, reflective writing, Kolb's
experimental learning theory, Gibb's Reflective cycle, developing reflective learning and writing
and so on (Abbasi & Raj, 2022). These guidelines and all theories allowed or helped me to get
better understanding as well as clarity about the procedures of subject and their importance. All
these information and knowledge further helped me in writing my final assignments and getting
higher grades.
b. Analysing of learning outcomes
In the semester 2, I am quite confident and motivated as compare to semester 1 to
understand and evaluate the writing as well as learning process. I do my task by breaking the
process into various steps for better understanding. That helped me in identifying the benefits of
every steps in order to get proper guidance to perform the task better. I also know the
importance of communication in teamwork to achieve the goal of task. In the lecture of last
week, the teacher gave guidelines on various ideas which were useful in the development of
reflective writing to al the learners. Also, the students of my class were able to develop
communication and intellectual skills which helped them to better understand the rules, principle,
concepts and process of the task (Sukhorukov & et. al. 2022). I also learned various important
skills such as time management, flexibility, multitasking in both semester so, I was able to
manage time and do multiple task with creativity to save time for complex task. If we make
proper schedule to mange the time according the planning as well as requirement of assignment,
then the quality and accuracy of the performance can also be retained. In the addition of it, I also

did many investigation and reading which further useful for me to understanding the main
characteristics of writing style through multiple models in the career of students . The proper
research and information of subjects or topics helps the students to get full knowledge about
different concepts, theories and ideas. While attending both the semesters, I was able to learn
multiple skills and knowledge which was essential to achieve personal and professional
objectives for the future growth.
C. Outcomes or actions
We perform our group assignment under the instruction and guidance of group leader by
which we are able to improve our various skills such as time or risk management and decision
making power to perform any task effectively. For the given assignment we was asked to
manage and perform multiple task with classmates and team members. At last, I am so glad after
completing both semesters of mine with the successful completion of given task in time at
important stage of the semesters (Hossain, 2022). Throughout the semesters I developed
communication and leadership skills which helps in given proper guidance for my future actions
to perform tasks with full abilities in professional career .

CONCLUSION
As per above report, it is concluded that reflective learning is most important process in
the life of learners. It helps the learner to develop knowledge and learn new skills from their
own past experiences. My attitude and behaviour have been modified as I was capable to deal
with multiple problems without any trouble. In both semesters every students have same
opportunities to grow so, they can plan for their future learning and development. Multiple skills
which I learned in both semesters such as researching skills, management skills, decision
making, problem solving to do the job and assignment with full potential, motivation and
dedication. I will be capable in my future career to handle the situations easily. Now I am able to
divide the task into various steps due to better understanding of theories, concepts and ideas. It
helps me to create innovative ideas for the formulation of task as well as to solve various
problems while performing the task. I think, I also improve my communication skills to interact
with others in better manner. In the staring I found difficulties but later I enjoyed the process of
learning and get new experience to deal with many people and problems in my future.
