INTRODUCTION
The student must develop varied skills and knowledge so that they grow in their career. It is
done by accessing data and info from different sources. The report will describe about way to
find info, CRAAP test and support services provided by Leeds University. Also, it will be
explained about Brilliant tab on library page (Khan, and et.al., 2017).
How do you find information and evaluate its sources
It is necessary to evaluate sources from which info is obtained or taken from. This is
because it enables in giving proof and reliability that info taken is reliable and authentic. Besides
that, there are various ways to find out info. This depends on student needs. However, before
gathering info it is necessary to evaluate its source so that more info is obtained from it.
Basically, online source is mostly used by students in accessing info. This is because there are
vast number of website available on internet by which lot of info is taken. Alongside, in taking
online info there is need to evaluate various search engines so that its source can be included
within study. Furthermore, it enable in keeping record of search engine and all materials from
where info has been gathered. In addition keeping record of search engine is helpful in future as
more info can be obtained from it (Yerizon, Putra, and Subhan, 2018). There is also need to
narrow down topic from so that it becomes simple to select topic and then collect specific info
related to it.
What do you understand by CRAAP test and how it is used in studies?
It is important to gather authentic data because many times info within website, blogs, etc.
are fake. Thus, for that a tool is used. CRAAP is an effective tool which is used to check whether
data is authentic or not. It means currency, relevancy, authority, accuracy and purpose. Thus, a
student can easily use this tool to check their info collected from article, journals, etc. The tool is
defined as below :
Currency- This factor is linked with identifying that information gathered from the user is not
outdated. It should be current including facts.
Relevance - It helps in identifying relevancy of data for the users. It is beneficial to access data
on a single topic in order to maximise knowledge and creativity.
Authority- It helps in analysing authencity of the data so that correct information can be
communicated to the users. The information should be written by those people who are
competent in their working.

Accuracy: The data should be authenticating and this can be achieved by applying effective
reference and gathering help from research working (Ginaya, Rejeki and Astuti, 2018).
Purpose: The major reason behind formulation of the article need to be evaluated before relying
on it. It will help in analysing the main purpose for executing the research work.
Generally, the test is used in order to evaluate authenticity of info which is being gathered
by student. So, if data is not authentic than they can change it. Moreover, it gives insight to
student about how they can check authenticity. By that they are able to score high marks and
grades. Besides, tool also helps in analyzing which source is reliable or not. Therefore, teacher
also uses this tool for same purpose.
List down support services provided by Leeds Trinity University and explain 3 of them
There is need of support services to be provided to students so that they are able to learn.
Thus, in Leeds University there are various support services that is provided to students. With
that they are able to learn and gain knowledge about it. This may be related to finance, academic
or personal support. Hence, 3 services are defined as below:
Student finance wing- It is a support service in which university provide financial help to them.
Student can take loan through it if required. Also, funds are provided through it to those student
who are not able to afford.
Learning hub – this support service is provided by University to student as they are able to learn
from it. In this it contains info about various subject and topics. From hub it is easier for student
to access info and register themselves (Klimova, 2019).
Counselling mentors – here, mentors are provided by University for student. The mentor guide
them to learn on different subjects. Moreover, mentor also help them to choose their career field.
They also motivate them to put more efforts in learning.
What is meant by be brilliant tab available at Leeds university
Leeds University, there are various tabs available in library pages. This is used by students
to obtain info about various sources such as references, search criteria, etc. Alongside, it is
essential for student to improve their academic skills so that they are able to grow in their career.
The skills allow to gain knowledge on many topics and subjects. However, due to covid 19
student are not able to go out for study so they are using the tabs available at the Library. New
things are explored with the help of brilliant tool. The students should gather information in
order to use both online and offline sources for collecting the information. The library tab is most

significant that is useful for the student in order to develop new concept which can help them in
their study time. Also, it allows them to explore various subject to learn. The tab can be only be
used with help of ID and password given to students from University. Besides, in tab there is
only authentic data stored in it (Tokac, Novak, and Thompson, 2019).
CONCLUSION
It can be summarised that info can be obtained from sources such as journals, articles, etc.
CRAAP test is used to analyse authenticity of info. Besides, 3 support services are student
finance wing, learning hub and counselling mentors. The Be Brilliant tab is used by student to
evaluate info.
