Definition of the concept of personal and professional development.
The concept of personal and professional development can be refers as a commitment
that an individual makes with himself. Under this a person develops and enhances his existing
skills through learning. This helps individual in fulfilling his personal as well as professional
goals along with an objective that needs to be achieved in specific time.
Description and discussion of the value of short term goals identifying at least 3 personal
examples.
Short term goals are those which acts as a starting point for long term goals. These are
such which fulfils short term needs of an individual that he achieves within a very short period of
time that is maximum of one year.
Examples of Short term Goals:
 To search a good coach who can train me in cricket.
 To practice speaking skills daily for 15 minutes in front of mirror.
 To learn traditional music.
Description and discussion of the value of medium term goals identifying at least 3 personal
examples.
A concept of medium term goal refers to those that a person wishes to achieve within a
span of one to three years. This fulfils the expectation and purpose of short term as well as long
term goals.
Examples of Medium term Goals:
 To attain a master degree from my dream college.
 To grab the knowledge of business management in practical.
 To develop a house for my family.

The concept of long term goal refers to fulfilment of personal objective that involves
huge time that ranges from three years to a period of ten years. This kind of goal requires proper
and effective planning in prior.
Examples of Long term Goals:
 To become a renowned leader in my organisation.
 To get appreciation through award in my job field.
 To invest in long term investments that generates high revenue.
Description and discussion of the value of a Personal Development Plan and construction of an
example using my goals.
Personal development plan refers to a concrete document that is in writing form which
comprises of some tasks and certain actions that are need to be taken in order to enhance the
existing skills of an individual within a specific time duration. The plan allows an individual to
evaluate and analyse his personality in a way that becomes competent in attaining and
completing each task no matter how much tough it is or how much it involves risk.

The above mentioned four components that is Author, Purpose, Reliability and Relevance
creates an impact on the usage of different sources which aims at defining the relevance of such
sources along with its reliability that are being considered during the analysis of such study.
Sources those are not related or act as irrelevant and those does not possess any reliability to the
project should not be considered because they may bring inadequate or unjustified conclusions
