Personal and professional development plan is basically used to manage
one’s own learning and growth throughout one’s own career. It is important for an
individual to focus upon continuing to learned develop their skills and knowledge in
order to ensure that their work is effective and done as per expectations of
organization. It is important for a person to focus upon their personal and
professional development because it helps them in learning new skills and
knowledge that can helps in increasing growth opportunities for moving forward in
career.

Short- term goals are important to be focused upon as these short- term goals
at as milestones that further help in achievement of medium- term goals. These are
type of goals that can be achieved in 12 months or less. Personal examples of short-
term goals are:
1. Prepare myself for planning to study Abroad for Master’s degree
2. Will focus upon publishing my own research thesis paper within a year
3. Will work part time job for gaining experience.
