Definition of the concept of personal and professional development
Personal development is being considered as a life long process which help
an individual in achieving all the goals and objectives with the help of its potential.
This comprises of different activities which help an individual in developing its
personal capabilities, potential, build human capital, improve quality of life,
realization of dreams and many more. This allowed an individual to always be
proactive and taking charge of their own actions. In an every individual life personal
development plays a very significant role. Professional development is totally
concerned with learning which help an individual to earn and maintained its
professional credentials in academic as well as working life. When an individual
focus on their goals and objective or focus on achieving successful position in its life
at that time professional development plays an important role(Goriaand et. al.,
2019). There are different types of methods and approaches which are totally related
to the professional development like consultation, mentoring, lesson study, coaching
and technique assistance. The importance of personal as well as professional
development has been discussed below :-
Personal development
Personal development not only help an individual in providing clarity in setting
its personal vision but also help in evolving existing knowledge and skills.
Helps an individual in defining personal goals and objectives in more clear
way.
Helps in developing new skills and knowledge with in them in a very effective
manner.
Helps in facing different challenges which is related to education, guidance
and training and also assist an individual in identifying true potential.
Professional development
Professional development helps an individual in getting good job which helps
them in achieving success position in life.
This not only helps in achieving all the personal goals but also help in
achieving organizational goals and objectives.
Also help in developing more and more opportunities which helps them in
achieving growth and success(Makovec, 2018).

wants to achieve as soon as possible. With the help of these goals an individual can
make the big changes. Short term goals may be defined as those goals which an
individual wants to achieve in the near future. The near future means today, weak,
month or even a year. If an individual wants to achieve the long term goals then it is
very important fore them to paid focus on the short term goals. As these short term
goals and objective plays a very important role in a carrying out and achieving long
term objectives. Basically these goals are made to attain the short term
achievements, which is very beneficial for an individual to always remain motivated
and plan for the future goals(Schoenmaker and Schramade,2019). It is very
