The academic skill and professional module consist of verbal and written
communication skill like presentation, reflective writing and critical skill. The PDP
include SMART action plan through which individual will develop creative opportunity
of career development (Arbuthnot, 2017). The academic skill are develop in the form
of core skill which generate opportunity to highlight individual strength and
weakness. This will help in specialized knowledge that is essential for choosing
desired job option. It has been analyses, that plan of personal development will aid
individual in order to deal from several issues which act as hindrance in accomplish
overall goal objective of career. The professional skill will provide more concentration
and focus regarding professional career opportunity. The report highlight overall
concept of personal and professional development of individual. The report include
value of short, medium and long term goal along with specific example.
2. Definition of the concept of personal and professional
development
The concept of personal and professional development is essential process
that is liable to transform personality of the personal and professional one. This will
enhance individual capability to face challenges which may arise in the career
development. This is the critical process through which employee will deliver
systematic method to accomplish its estimated learning objective. The relevant skill
in the professional career improve knowledge of particular filed that is based upon

time management build strong position of employ-ability. Each company wants their

career planning.

The short term goal gets accomplish during short period of time by the
individual, these are very important because it enhance the ability of individual to

example of short term goal-
Programming skill- This type of skills are most trending one in competitive
market as these are highly required career development. This will gather some
useful information on basis of particular programming knowledge. This will increase
the opportunity of successful professional development. Programming skill also
update ability of individual towards critical thinking and problem solving during
learning.

one as it will depict to resolve many problem in completion of job activity. By learning

Stress Management- One of the important skill is consider as stress
management, nowadays, each employee has to go through form lots of pressure
during its personal and professional life (Buchanan, 2020). The proper balance of
stress management towards personal and professional life is highly required in
competitive market. This will aid to handle stress while performing any job, task and
activity in effective manner.

The medium term goal are also significant for career development because
this will fill the gap among short and long term goal. Some example of medium term
goals are-
Completing a degree- For advancement of career, complete degree is most

are highly required to gain knowledge and developing opportunity as professional
aspect. Most of the reputation jobs required higher education degree that is degree
is must to improve career options.
Improving professional skill- The network of professional skill is most
essential, as it will develop individual ability in order to perform well in job. This will

Researching skill-The skill of researching is most essential as it aid
individual to improve the knowledge of analyzing as well as depict knowledgeable
insight through which individual can study. This will allow individual to established

Long term goal is most essential with perspective professional area and self
development. These kind of goal will be fulfill in future so proper planning and timing
is required to achieve this goal. Long term goal are more challenging one and

typical one because if individual will fail to achieve goal of long term then their entire

enhance professional skill and expertise knowledge to complete the work on time.

leadership skill individual will easily manage all job assignment and handle the
employees to motivate them for increasing employees productive performance.
Management skill- Business management is more effective skill that allow
person to handle overall business process and practices. It will raise the effective
level that improve aspect of professional development.

Development Plan
The value of personal development plan, help to update and improve several
skill that need to be accomplish in given desirable time. It will determine more
accountable results that depict several step which acquire by the individual to
improve skill. This will aid in improving or examining skill in more efficiency and
effective way (Ryan, 2020). The proper planning of valuable personal development
assist to develop more authentication which serve the purpose of professional career
opportunity. The proper planning of personal development plan help individual in
order to determine its strength and weakens regarding its skill and knowledge. For
effective plan of personal and professional development require proper action plan
