Introduction
Academic skills are those skills which are important for the students to learn
and which help them in studying. Academic skills are the arrangement of skills which
helps the students to make everything in an organized way and which will help them
in taking any information which will be provided to them in the classroom(Willis and
et. al., 2019) . For gaining the skills there are many which will be available so that
the student can boost their energy for retaining and remembering every thing so that
they can gain good marks in the exam. For developing the study skills it is important
for the student to identify the strengths and weakness for the learning. The reason
for this is that academic skills are not according to the subjects and they are
basically in generic nature. This report will be based on academic integrity which will
cover description of integrity, importance of integrity, implications of academic
misconduct, difficulties in developing a game and the skills which have been learned
in the academic year.
Section 1
An Introduction including a description of Academic Integrity
Academic integrity can be defined as the ways by which student has to
behave in an honest way without doing anything which is negative in terms of
academics behavior. It can be mainly defined as the ethics which has to be present
and has to be behaved by the students. The term means to avoid cheating and
plagiarism in their work and this will be helpful for the students in the other way. The
reason for developing the academic integrity factor is that this will make the students
successful in their life because they will be doing all the work by their own without
taking the help of other people(Altınmakas and Bayyurt, 2019).
Academic integrity is important for the Universities and for the students both
because for the Universities if their student are not focusing on the Academic
Integrity then their reputation will fall. So it is important for the University also to take
the responsibility of providing rewards to the student if they are excellent in their
studies. This will help in reduction of any cheating and any factor which are not
considered good in the Academic Integrity. For the Universities, Academic Integrity is
considered to be most beneficial because if the integrity is not present in that place

knowledge regarding the subjects. The can be identified from the way that if teacher
will be promoting their students to do cheating and not behave in an honest manner
then they are also not having any quality in the way they teach students. However,
not only for the Universities but it is also important for the students because every
individual takes knowledge from the schools and University and if they will not
behave in good way then this habit will be used by them in their workplace also. The
after results for this will be very serious and they might have to face any legal
actions. So, it is important for the students to work with integrity so that they can take
their degree in fair ways.
A discussion of the importance of academic integrity in higher
education
Academic integrity is the most important factor which has to be present in the
University and also in students so that they don't come in such thing which will not be
good for the success and their life. Academic integrity is important because with this,
students would be able to make their own work on their independently without taking
help from others and this will provide them success (Austin and et. al., 2020). If they
will work on their own assignments on an individual basis then they will learn to face
any challenges which might come while studying. They will get to know as to how the
things will be resolved and with the facts which they will be gaining they will be
directly making development in their own life.
Getting and working for the collection of information is the most important
thing because with that it directly makes an impact in the student's life directly. This
will be helpful in their life and in their career because as the competition have been
increased which will make the student capable of the things and the challenges
which they will be facing. It is also important for the University because with that they
will be providing the information about what academic integrity is and how to avoid
any misconduct if they come up in this trap(Succi and Canovi, 2020). If the University
will make the management in the Academic Integrity then with that they will be able
to save their reputation because if such things will happen in the University then
other students will not like to take the degree. For the students performing well in the
exams will be good if they have behaved in an honest way for their studies. They will

achieve excellence and it will be important for them on the other hand to avoid any
negativity which is related with their studies including cheating or plagiarism. For the
employers also academic integrity matters a lot ad they check the degrees on the
basis that if the student has been given the given the degree then it means they
have met all the standards which is required in the fulfillment of their work.
Discuss the implications of academic misconduct
Academic misconduct can be termed as doing cheating or any type of attitude
which is present in a false way. It is basically a measure which is used by the child to
gain informal attempt on any work which is not done by them(Yap and Peñaflor,
2020). If any of the student makes an attempt of doing any misconduct then they are
liable to pay the penalties to the institute and there are also chances that student
might not receive the degree from the University. Some type of academic
misconduct have been explained below-
Plagiarism- The plagiarism can be defined as any source which is used by
the individual in their work but that work is basically not theirs. This means
they make the use of work which is not their but they are mark it in their own
name. It can be in the form of taking ideas which has already been developed
by the other person. It is similar to that of copying the work of other person
which is made by the student.
Cheating- Cheating is also similar with that of Plagiarism with the only
difference is that the student makes the copy of things which can be in the
exam for scoring good marks or for other things(Di Bartolo and et. al., 2021).
It is the by which the individual takes the authorization of the work in false
manner for the completing their academic work. Not just the person who is
doing cheating will come under academic dishonesty but also that person who
is helping them to do so will come under this allegations.
Fabrication or falsification- It is also an unauthorized source of data which
is taken by an individual in a false manner. This can include making alteration
in the data while doing any experiment and on the other side doing that thing
which does not exist in real sense. The data which needs to be collected from
real source have been displayed on their own way which has no existence.

This is called as the falsification of work because the work which needs to be
done correctly has been done in wrong way.
Section 2
Reflect on the steps you have taken, and difficulties encountered in
producing the game for Project 2
There were many difficulties which I have to face while making a game and those
factors have been explained below-
Team building- It was a very difficult task for me to build a team because all
the people were having some or the other problem and not all were having the
skills which is required in the production of a game. Some of the people were
not having technical knowledge which made it very difficult to me to balance
the team and also to design a game(Can and Ginsburg-Block, 2021). Team
building is the main challenge and the biggest one which I founded.
Technical skills- Technical skills is the other factor which had made it very
difficult to me to design the game. There are different software which are
required for designing a game and as the game was based on academic
integrity so it made it difficult also to frame the questions. Choosing the right
target platforms in which the game can be built was also difficult to chose
which needs to be defined on the basis of who will be the right target. As I am
not good in having technical skills so this took a lot of time.
Designing a game- Designing a game with perfection was a difficult thing as I
am weak in technical skills so it was very difficult for me to design the game.
Designing a game was a bit difficult because it takes a huge amount of time
and on the other side if the game will not be designed in a correct way then
the results can be false.

There were different skills which I have learned while studying and by producing a
game which has been discussed below-
Time management- Time management is the most important skill which I
have developed not just in making a game but also while studying(Succi and
Canovi, 2020) . The reason for this is making notes takes huge time and for
the designing of a game which will also take a time. While making a balance
in both the things I have realized that it is very crucial to make management in
timing otherwise it will become difficult to work on both the things and on the
other side achieve success.
Effective communication- Developing communication is the most important
thing which is required not just in the present time but also in future(Levinson
and et. al., 2020). I have developed my communication skill when during my
studies because during that time it becomes very important to make
interactions with the teachers for asking questions and on the other side
asking things from the other co-mates becomes important if something is not
easily understandable.
Organisation skills- Organisation skills is that skill in which I have learned to
become more focused on different things and task which will be important for
me to learn. Organisation is important both in studies and also in producing a
game because it is important to be organised. The reason for this is becoming
organised will help an individual to plan the activities in an effective way.
While studying also, organisation skill is important because this helped me in
making proper timing of making notes and what to study and in which manner.
Conclusion
From the above report it can be concluded that it is very essential for the
student to develop academic skills in them for achieving higher success. The reason
for developing good skills is that students would be able to make and develop their
confidence. The other reason by which study skills becomes important is that student
will behave in an organized way and their studies will also be done in that way only.
When the students will develop the defined skills at that time then they will not face
any difficulties in their study and will make it very smooth also.
