Introduction
It is being expected that the researchers, teachers or students will act honestly, fairly,
responsibly and truly at the time of conducting research is termed as Academic integrity
(Ahmed, 2020). The students will get career benefits if they are able to accomplish their
assign task with full honesty. The universities also reward students who are able to perform
work as per the guidance provided by the teachers. By providing rewards students feels
motivated and put more efforts towards their studies. The university is responsible for
ensuring academic integrity. They can do so by using appropriate source for information, for
providing effective education to students, following ethical practices within their
organization. To have a bright future of students it is crucial for students to practice academic
integrity. This report includes detailed description about academic integrity and its
importance in higher level of education. Lastly, academic misconduct along with its
implications were discussed.

A detailed description of Academic Integrity
For an institute or universities academic integrity is under which the students should
avoid cheating, plagiarism or any other unethical activity (Chankova, 2020). The students are
responsible to perform all the work on time and take decision in direction through which
career goals could be achieved. The students who are honest towards there work achieve their
career goals more quickly. The students should follow the direction provided by its teachers
this is because they will get the guidelines on which students have to move and are able to
achieve goals. The students should also help other students and does not only focuses towards
their self interest or goals. They should develop the feeling of team spirit in order to perform
the work effectively. The students are able to face the challenges which are being arise in
their future. The universities should take strict actions against the students who performs
unethical practices. The students who take their work seriously and are capable to achieving
the assign task ethically have certain growth opportunities. The students should follow the
academic integration to get the position they want in their career.
The importance of academic integrity is not only in the life of students but also for
teachers. The facilities should make efforts in direction to achieve goals of students. They are

the one who teach them and shows them correct career path or direction. So it is important for
teachers also to be responsible and follow the ethical practices, this is who students will also
be motivated to perform the work directed by their educators. With this, they should treat
each and every student fairly and does not made any kind of discrimination in any student. It
is the responsibility of the teachers that each and every student should get equally and better
opportunities so that they can achieve the set goals of their career. The teachers should also
take steps in direction to make sure students become socialized so that they feels comfortable
in interacting with other individuals. Through this they will be get to know about different
experiences of other individual and they will be able to commonly done career mistakes.
They will also get proper guidance form the personal experience of other individuals. They
will be able to evaluate what are the career or personal difficulties they may face and what
steps could be taken by them to overcome from it.
Importance of academic integrity in higher education
The students are able to get success in their life by following academic integrity. The
students are able to find self development with the help of academic integrity (Eaton, 2021).
There are several qualities which can also be developed with the help of academic integrity.
The qualities includes trust, honesty, responsibility and so on. The students are able to get
success in their life and can develop great personality within their life with the help of
academic integrity. The students become effective and does not missed its deadlines by the
help of academic integrity. The academic integrity not only creates a impact over career life
about also it impacts personal life. The importance of academic integrity in higher education
are stated below -
 Career building - Academic integrity gives a direction to students though which
they can accomplish the assigned task with full honesty and responsibility. The
work which is performed properly by students help students in enhancing their
knowledge and this is how they will be able to build their career.
 Benefit to educational institutions – The things which are being learned by
students helps educational institution in building their image. The students are the
one who reflects the image of any educational institution. The universities which
are providing an effective learning and following ethical practices with the help of
academic integrity will leads to develop students having good ethics within them.
This is who the universities will be able to gain its value among other universities

and will be capable for creating a positive image in the mind of students and
parents.
 New idea generation – The students who are able to develop an innovative and
creative idea with the help of academic integrity. The teachers provide students
different growth opportunities which make students ready to face upcoming
challenges and this is who they would involved in finding new and creative ideas
though which they can solve their problems easily. This will also find the
innovative ways for accomplished their tasks designed by the teachers.
 Increases teaching quality - Academic integrity helps teachers in improving
quality of lectures provided by them. When the universities as well as re involved
in following academic integrity then the students will get the ethical environment
in which they have to take work in direction as directed by their teachers. The
students will have fear of punishment as the universities are responsible for giving
punishment to the students for follows unethical practices.
 Social responsibility – The students are able to become socialised with the help of
academic integrity. They will be capable of building good networks in the society
which will help students in developing connections with the specialised persons.
With there expert advice students will be able to build a successful career.
Discuss the implications of academic misconduct
The academic misconduct includes mentioned below things, as it is an unethical practices
which can be conducted by students (Ives and Nehrkorn, 2019).
 Plagiarism – The students who copy the work form other students and does not make
use of their own taught and opinions is considered as plagiarism. The plagiarism done
by students badly impacts the performance of students. The plagiarism work could be
done by students either when they does not understand the work given by teachers or
they does not make efforts to complete the assign tasks. The students from whom the
work is being copied also have chances that they might get plagiarism in their work.
This will affect performance of other students also they have to also suffer the
plagiarism problem which is being arsed by other students. The students who are
making efforts in direction to effective complete their work also get disadvantages.
The students who get plagiarism in their work, universities takes strict action against
them as it is illegal to get plagiarism. Along with the it the student who does not
provide appropriate references for the work done by them or for data collected by

them is also a kind of misconduct. The educational boards takes strict actions against
those students which can badly affect their career opportunities. With this, it can also
ruin the image of university in which they are studying.
 Cheating – Due to the up-gradation in the technology it become easy for the
universities to check does the students have done cheating or not (Tatum, 2022). The
students who found cheating will be disqualified and their degree will be cancel. Due
to this the students have to face certain challenges and problems in their career.
 Professional misconduct – The learning capacity of students increases when the
students are able to work with professions. For working with an professional it is
necessary to work in an ethical manner. The students should learn professional
behaviour in order to achieve success in their career, also it will help them in growing
their career. The students who behave ethically represent universities and their brand
value also enhances. So, it is being taught to students by teachers to follow or practice
academic integrity.
The students who are involved in practising misbehaviour within the universities have to face
certain issues in their career (Keefer, Brown and Rothschild, 2020). As they will be
misguided and the facilities of university also does not support them. The other impact of
academic misconduct done by students are as follows -
 Social consequences – The individuals present outside universities does not support
the students who perform unethical work. The students does not achieve success in
their career and also will loose the growth opportunities.
 Loss of intellectual property – The work which is being done by others and some
other students copies its without taking permission of real owner they it is
misconduct. The legal action could also be taken against the real owner of the project.
 Legal consequence – The students who found practising any illegal and unethical
practises have to face the punishment given by the universities. As it is illegal for
students to perform any unethical practices.

Reflect on the steps you have taken, and difficulties encountered in producing
the game for Project 2
At the time of preparing game, I faced certain difficulties with this I enjoyed the
assignment assign to me (Latopolski and Bertram Gallant, 2020). I get to explore in different
areas and it also helps me in enhancing my skills. I make use of all my skills in order to
prepare effective game. Initially I was confused that which game should I prepare though
which my skills and knowledgable regarding academic integrity could be enhanced. Here, I
take time in analysing my skills and take help of my team members to discuss about the
game. With the team efforts we are able to decide game on which we have to prepare our
assignment. After that we decided name and design of our game along with its objectives. It
take lot of time in designing game as it should be creative enough that it can engage players.
After deciding objectives or game the tries to prepare easy rules for playing game. I tried to
keep language of instruction as simple as possible because tough instructions can mislead the
player. The member of team prepared the interesting questions which are interesting and
related to academic integrity. I make sure that plagiarism does not arise so that misconduct
could not take place. This is how I was able to make effective game which follows academic
integrity.
Reflect on the skills you have learned this academic year and those
emphasized in producing your game
At the time of developing game I was able to develop certain skills. It was time
consuming for me to design a game which is able to complete the game effectively (Seaton,
2019). I was able to work with team efforts at the time of designing game. The quality of time
management is developed as it is necessary accomplish the given task on time. The game has
to be designed in such a way that it can grab attention of lot of players this is why creativity
skills are developed. I has able to work patiently as it is not possible to work with anger. I
was able to develop my writing skills by effectively writing in game.

Conclusion
Form the above report it can be concluded that academic integrity is important to
build a bright career to students. They will not be misguided and will work in direction to
achieve their set desired goals. The students are able to maintain trust and honesty in the
work. The universities will take legal actions if they found students practising any unfair
practices.
