Academic integrity is the ethical and moral code of conduct or behavior which can be reflected in
students through their honesty, respect, fairness, accuracy and reasonability. The principles of
academic integrity help Universities in strengthening their brand image within the industry through
which they can attract greater number of students.
Academic integrity is important for universities as this will be helpful in encouraging students and
staff to bring new creative ideas. In case where students do not follow ethical practices and are
engaged in academic misconduct, this can hamper reputation of universities. Students focusing on
plagiarism activities can led to poor and lack of knowledge which can damage goodwill and position
of university. This will also hamper relationship between colleagues and professors.

outcomes. Such practices also negatively influence student learning and waste their time and
