This report, submitted as part of the BSc (Hons) Foundation Business Management BMP3003 Further Academic Skills course, addresses academic integrity and reflects on the production of a game for Assignment 2. The first section defines academic integrity, emphasizes its importance in higher education for both students and universities, and discusses the implications of academic misconduct, including legal consequences and impacts on student self-esteem. The second section reflects on the steps taken and difficulties encountered during the game's production, highlighting challenges such as lack of experience and minimal resources. It also reflects on the skills learned during the academic year, including time management, teamwork, communication, leadership, and creativity, emphasizing those specifically developed during game production. Introduction
Academic integrity is the process that allows the student to perform the creative
work as well as build the new ideas while acknowledging the others works. In this
process all the illegal activities are avoided such as cheating, plagiarism as well as other
academic misconduct. In relation to this the mentioned report is the inclusion of two
parts. The first part will describe the academic integrity as well as its importance in the
higher education. Further the report will also highlight the academic misconduct that that
occurred in the higher education
(Applebee, and et. al., 2018).
The second section of the report will reflect the steps and difficulties faced during
the production of the game. Further several skills will also discussed in this report that
learned during the formation of game.
Section 1
An Introduction including a description of Academic Integrity
Academic integrity is the inclusion of several ethical practices that a individual
need to follow during performing the activity. The values that plays a vital role in the
academic integrity are fairness, honesty and responsibility. The works that submitted
in the universities need to be free from plagiarism. It also develops the habits of
acknowledging the other work when taking the information from their work, through
the citing and referencing of the sources. Therefore, the work should be error free,
giving the reference to the person whose ideas adopted in completing the project
(Cronan, Mullins, and Douglas, 2018).
A discussion of the importance of academic integrity in higher
education
Academic integrity plays a vital role in student academic career as well as in
the university reputation. As the academic integrity ensures that the person or
organization performing the ethical practices in their functions. It develop the several
new skills and knowledge in the student academic career as well as also influence
the image of universities that follows the ethical practices in their academic practices.

In relation to this below are the brief discussion of academic integrity in student and
university (Ferrell, Buller, and Paice, 2020).
For student- By following the academic integrity practices in the academic projects
enhance the student knowledge as well as develop the academic skills. As these
knowledge helpful in the academic career for students. By eliminating the academic
misconduct in the project their self confidence were also increase as well as create
the effective factors that beneficial for their career. By following the academic
integrity student can easily enhance its writing skills as well as it also strengthen their
overall grading system.
Thorough the ethical practices they can contribute more values in the society
in a authentic ways. Moreover, without the academic integrity, an ineffective pattern
of dishonesty can generate in the student academic career. Hence, this misconduct
can generate the workplace deviance in the future scenarios. It also develops the
habits of acknowledging the other work when taking the information from their work,
through the citing and referencing of the sources (Garza Mitchell, and Parnther,
2018). Hence, such practices helps the students in order to eliminate the threat of
plagiarism from their projects. In short academic integrity creates the values of
responsibility in learning, honesty and research.
For university
It is important for the universities to develop the academic integrity practices
in their education system. Because the university reputation are depends on their
education system. Hence, any academic misconduct in the university functions can
impact their overall image. Therefore, academic integrity helps the institute in order
to protect their reputation. Having academic integrity in university operations creates
the trust between the others. Hence, by following these ethical practices develops
the faith of honesty between the community that attached with the university. In
relation to this by following the strict laws and policies against the academic
misconduct influence the students to adopt the ethical practices in their academic
practices. As these practices helps the organization in order to embraced the
academic career of students (Gewirtz, and Cribb, 2020).
Secondly, following the academic integrity in the university provides the value
to the degree. In today era employers of organization majorly prefers to those
students that have the higher integrity values. Hence, these traits beneficial for
developing the positive educational environment.

Discuss the implications of academic misconduct
Below are the some consequences that can be faced by the students due to
academic misconduct-
 Legal consequences- If a student caught by performing the unethical
practices in their academic career can bring some major issues in regard to
their academic career. In relation to this student can face the lawsuit as well
as can loss the future projects of the universities. As these practices could
also fines as well as they can also lose the university future projects. In regard
to this international students that took the admission through the external
sponsors could also face the real life problem due to such unethical practices.
University can terminate the students which impact their future academic
career badly (Jian, Marion, and Wang, 2019).
 Student self esteem- Students that indulged with these type of unethical
activity can feel the guilty as well as low esteem in the long run. Hence, such
nature can bring the consequences in the future scenarios in regard to their
career as well as other aspect of their life Academic integrity is the process
that allows the student to perform the creative work as well as build the new
ideas while acknowledging the others works. In this process all the illegal
activities are avoided such as cheating, plagiarism as well as other academic
misconduct. Therefore, any misconduct can harm the above work of students.

Reflect on the steps you have taken, and difficulties encountered in
producing the game for Assignment 2
The first step that taken by us in order to develop the game was that all the
decided person in the group was gathered at one place. All the important decisions
were took place regard to create the game. We decided the game name which is
integrity as well as also developed the rules. As these rules included the game plan,
question card that used in the game. All these factors were decided in advance.
After finalize of all rules and factors regard to the game, the next step that
took by our group is to assign the task in the projects. As according to the knowledge
and skills we divided the task to perform efficiently. I assigned for the managing the
team work and solving the issues in during the project. Another, person of the group
were assigned to designed the game as he has the good technical knowledge.

The last step that took by our group is to develop the game. We already
distributed the task apparently. Therefore, we all know our responsibility very well. At
the time of performing the task. We faced some issues in regard to the game
dynamics as well as some technical problems were also raced in the final testing.
But with the proper planning and team work we succeeded in developing the integrity
game (Ransome, and Newton, 2018).
Difficulties that arises during the project
 Lack of experience- This was the first time when we performed any task
in the group. In relation to this before this game assignment, no one from our
group created any game regard to the academic integrity. Hence due to lack
of experience in our group has created several problems during the project.
As we faced the issues in regard to perform the functions in coordination. Due
to this we waste the lot of time in performing functions. In the starting of the
project at the time of project discussion, several communication conflicts were
raised by all individuals. As these conflicts created the complexity. But with
the team work and tutor guidance we somehow manage all these traits in our
project and successfully completed our project in a given time period.
 minimal resources- One of the major difficulty that faced by us at the
time of performing the given assignment is due to availability of minimum
resources. We faced the problem regard to the budget. Due to allocation of
low budget we find the difficulties in distributing the task. As mentioned in the
above discussion that this was the first time that we performed the group
activity together (Wang, 2019). Hence, due to lack of experience also
evaluate the budget problem. As due to such practices we spendthrift.
Reflect on the skills you have learned this academic year and those
emphasized in producing your game
Skills learn during the academic year
 Time management skills- In my academic year I performed several tasks
and projects. Hence, all these task were allotted with the time deadline.
Therefore in order to submit the projects and classwork on time I developed
several skills such as
1. prioritize all my work before performing it

2. scheduled all the day activities segmented wise.
3. Adopted the fast decision making to perform the task more efficiently
 Teamwork skills- Their were several projects in my academic career that
assigned in the group. As to perform these projects successfully we created
the several practices in our personality such as formed the effective
communication channel in between the team to get the optimum result. We
listened all the problems and issue of each team member critically and
develop the solution in regard to perform the effective functions. As these
traits developed the teamwork
 communication skills- in my academic career I took the part in debate as
well as gave the speech in university functions. As these events helped me a
lot in improvising my communication skills. Several time we performed the
group discussion activity that enhanced my academic knowledge as well as
developed my confidence in regard to talk with someone.

 Leadership skills- At the time of producing the game we all are assigned in a
team. As reflected in the above discussion their was several problem that
raised during the project. As I took the responsibility in the project to solve all
the issues. Hence, I managed the team by eliminating the communication
barrier from the team. Another step that influenced my personality at that time
was solving the conflicts in the team. As I reviewed the suggestion of all my
teammates as well as took the quick decision according to the situation. As all
these practices helped me and improvise my overall personality. This
mentioned skill will surely provides the benefits in my future academic career.
 creativity- As it was the first time when we created a game. Hence, during
producing the integrity game. I research a lot to gather the important data and
knowledge. After this process I reviewed all the data and developed the
integrated plan. I also gave the suggestion regard to the design of the game
such as color combination, attractive font size as well as provides the
attractive images in the game (White, 2020).
Conclusion

From the analysis of above report it is clearly stated that academic integrity
plays a vital role in academic career. As it helped the individual in order to develop
the effective knowledge and skills that embrace their academic career. Further, the
report was also highlighted the importance of academic integrity on the behalf of
student and universities. As it beneficial for developing the positive educational
environment as well as create the value of fairness, honesty and responsibility.
Further, the next section of the report highlighted steps and difficulties that faced
during producing the game. In relation to the game development several skills were
also developed such leadership skills and creativity skills.
