Talking in relation with the academic integrity, it can be termed as values of honest as
well as quality in regards with the work. Further, it is the basic values of education, teaching,
learning and evaluation in high standard Universities and education centres. Based on this,
the present work emphasizes on describing the academic integrity, its importance and
implications of the academic misconduct. Further, it will also be going to involve a reflection
on the learning, skills and abilities being gained throughout the year and producing a game.

Speaking about the academic integrity of a university, it simply involves values such
as accuracy in reaching the outcomes, accountabilities in regards with the work and
individuals, honesty, quality, fairness and respecting work and other people. it is considered
as quite significant in boosting the accuracy as well as quality of work being performed by an
individual. Academic integrity helps in keeping a standard balance for each and every one in
the Universities and educational institutions involving teachers, students and others to
maintain fairness and offering equal prospects to shine plus work (Javeed, 2018). It is
important that the people being involved in this line of work should depicts respect towards
their institutions through effective use of suitable data by maintenance of regulations, data
protection policies, rules, laws of privacy and policies in relation with the copyrights. Further,
it is also crucial that should avoid theft and mis publication of work being done by others.
Ethical considerations throughout the project or research work needs to be carefully
maintained. Moreover, misleading information should not be published or no previous data
quality should be compromised. It is important to make sure that reports are being
constructed and published which are grounded on data collection, research and evaluation
through individual research fellows. This will help in maintaining truthfulness and honesty
(Patra and Das, 2019).

Academic integrity plays a very crucial role which helps in differentiating a society
intensely and is required to be at the centre of the firm along with its primary values. In
higher education, academic dishonesty is a serious issue which has gained attention of
different scholars. Even the external people like parents, policymakers and employers also
comes under integrity. It takes place from top to lower management and in almost every

nation. In higher education, schools as well as colleges, academic integrity is very critical at
times unethical behaviour threatens the learning as well as reputation of the higher education
students (Sotiriadou and et.al., 2020). The image of school and college is being protected
with high level of academic honesty expectations and also supports in carrying out favourable
work through maintenance of integrity. Furthermore, if someone violates the intellectual
integrity than it might decrease the confidence of both the students and the university in
higher education. Thus, it can be said that academic integrity helps in maintaining of higher
standard of work and supports in keeping the skills strong. It also inspires the public respect
for the intellectual values. Moreover, teaching, university learning and study needs academic
integrity for development of innovation ideas, skills and work.
Discussing the implications of academic misconduct
Academic misconduct is majorly concerned with any form of unfair practice in any
academic projects and exams for grades. Any types of efforts being done for supporting the
other fellows in achieving academic benefit by dishonesty is being regarded as academic
misconduct. There are different manners by which it can be takes place such as cheating,
plagiarism, forgery of information, collusion and holding of unauthorised substances
throughout an assessment. There are serious implications of academic misconduct on the
basis of the severity of the academic misconduct (Ashford, 2020). It can result in expulsion or
suspension of the student from the educational institute. Moreover, it might also result in redo
of the whole assignment by the student and deduction of the marks from the project in which
the fault has been observed by the teacher. In addition to this, there is also an option present
with the supervisor wherein they can file an official complaint against the students to the
office of student council. It can also tarnish the reputation of both the college and the student
and can influence their future. They also loose the right of intellectual property on that project
(McKenzie, 2018).

The assignment wherein I have prepared the plagiarism Captcha game was overall a
fun experience as well as a whole new learning process. At the time of producing this game, I
come across with different problems that are required to be dealt with effectively. One such
challenge was related with accumulation of information for preparing the game. It was a
time-consuming process and also, I had to study comprehensively for this area.

Comprehension of each and every aspect was quite essential for finding out correct data and
answers to the questions (Amigud and Pell, 2020). In addition to this, one more difficulty that
I faced was related to selecting the alternative answers which has a few suitable points that
assist in offering choice to students for uploading their assessment. I have to think about
different probable answers that can be considered correct. Furthermore, I have to search for
the resources for making this game more presentable in this way with a view to have
interesting visuals of the game. I have to go through lot of designs and finally, I have selected
the one which can be both fun as well as formal.
Reflecting on the skills learned this academic year and those emphasized in producing game
While completing this game, I have gained lot of knowledge as well as skills. This
plagiarism Captcha game was a learning experience and has also taught me different things in
regards with academic integrity. This game has presented me the significance of academic
integrity in academic life and its utilization all across the life. While producing this game, I
was able to learn about the practical usage as well as knowledge of Microsoft Word and
PowerPoint presentation which I have used for preparing this game. Additionally, there were
some features of software which I was not aware earlier, however I have learned the same
during this course of game development. Moreover, my technical writing process and
communication skills have also been developed. I have also got the knowledge about the
ways of researching anything about a particular topic (Kadam, 2018). There is an infinite data
present but during this process, I also learned to find out the right and beneficial data. Other
than this, this academic year I have also gained acquaintance on the ways of becoming
creative and having informal work. I have also learned the process of organizing the
information in an effective manner. Thus, it can be said that this project has enhanced my
skills and prompted me to apply practically which has boosted my overall confidence level.
CONCLUSION
Based on the evaluation, it can be said that academic integrity is nothing but ethical as
well as moral code of conduct which is required to be followed by an individual all across the
academic year. Further, this is related with the unfair activities for having academic benefits
and it results in reduction in the reliability of institutions and people being involved in the
same. consequently, it is crucial on the part of institutions and Universities to educate the
significance of academic integrity for minimizing academic misconduct.
