Academic integrity refers to providing value to characteristics such as
responsibility, honesty and behaviour which helps the individual in long

and authentic citation in the work, properly researching topics and
collecting information ethically ,etc. It is important for students to have
academic integrity as it reflects honesty in their work. They are
generally more committed towards their work and like to do research on
their own.
They are trustworthy people and are highly credible. It helps the
students in becoming more creative and dedicated towards their work
and will also make sure that they are able to understand the topics that
are discussed. It will help them in improving their knowledge which is
very good for the professional as well as personal lives of students. It is
important for students to create their own research as it is a lifetime
opportunity to gain knowledge and improve their performance.
Academic integrity also plays a major role in the authenticity and value
creation of the degree that the university is providing to their students. If
the university is allowing their students to use unfair mediums in order
to complete their projects than the value of the degree will be extremely
low an the students will not be able to complete their work when it
comes to actual assignments in their professional lives.

Plagiarism is one of the most severe form of academic misconduct. It
refers to the practice of one person which knowingly or unknowingly uses
someone else’s work or report and present it as their own. It has a
negative impact on the students as well as on their career. The students
may have to face severe allegations and also have to face loss of
reputation (Holz, Beuttler and Ninaus., 2018, October). The students will
fail their examination and will also get penalty for plagiarism. It is
considered as a wrongful act both ethically and legally. Plagiarism is an
unethical act of using someone else’s work and present it as their own
work. The research work is done with a lot of hard work and dedication
and using someone else’s work as a shortcut can be very disastrous for
students as it can have a negative impact on their reputation and will also
decrease their credibility. Students must have to provide proper credits to
the original owner of the work and in that case they will be able to avoid
the charges of plagiarism (Gordon., 2019). Universities take serious
actions against those who are involved in plagiarism and can take it as a
criminal offence as well. Once the student is caught for plagiarism, it will
have a severe impact on the whole future career of the student. It is the
duty of universities to report plagiarism as soon as possible and take
corrective actions against those who are guilty, it will help the universities
in developing discipline and honesty in the institution and will also make
sure that those students who are doing their work with utmost honesty are
motivated towards providing better performance.
In order to play the game, the group of students will be divided into two
groups and each group will get a chance to answer 1 question only. Each
question will have 20 points and at last their will be a bonus question
which will provide 50 marks to the group of students who provide the
right answer in the minimum time. The questions will be related to
plagiarism and academic misconduct and will help the students in
developing their understanding about the topic.
