Introduction
Skill is defined as the ability that allows the individual to achieve desired goals
and objectives and enhance their overall performance in their academic career
effectively (Aljawarneh, 2020). Skills and abilities are the driving force behind the
growth and development of the individual in their career path. Academic integrity is
also an essential factor that allows the individual to achieve desired goals and
objectives in their academic career path. Academic integrity is the process of
following values, honesty and norms in the academic career and avoid any kind of
academic misconduct, plagiarism and cheating. Academic misconduct allows the
student to be honest and loyal in carrying out their academic work effectively. This
report highlights the detailed analysis of academic integrity along with the
importance of academic integrity for the students in their higher education. In
addition to this the implication of academic misconduct is also highlighted in this
report.
Section 1
An introduction including a detailed description of Academic
Integrity
Academic integrity is defined as the effective commitment from the students to
honestly carry out their academic work and achieve desired goals and objectives. It
is essential for each and every individual to follow their academic integrity while
doing their work so as to create strong and positive image at the university
(Bottrelland Manathunga, 2018). It helps in creating effective and positive
environment at the university. It is also defined as the process of putting values and
norms into effective practice through being honest, loyal and trustful in the academic
work done by the students at their university, it also involves being fair to others as
well as taking responsibility for the learning done by them. It allows the students to
enhance their knowledge and exchange new ideas effectively. Avoiding any kind of
academic misconduct or dishonesty leads to promoting academic integrity in the
university. There are mainly five pillars of academic integrity which helps in
promoting positive environment (Fatemiand Saito, 2020).

Honesty: One of the most essential pillar of academic integrity is the honesty
which is also termed as being sincere. The honesty allows the individual to present
their work fairly and effectively.
Trust: Another important pillar of the academic integrity is the trust, having
trust on others lead to making the work more easier and building relationship. Trust
allows the individual to be fair and smoothly carry out their work (Gallos and Bolman,
2021).
Fairness: The fairness is part of the trust, it allows the individual to determine
that they will be treated fairly and judged by the same standard as all the others.
Respect: The respect allows the individual to be treated fairly and also
allowing their opinions and point of view to be shared.
Responsibility: The last pillar of academic integrity is the responsibility, it
allows the individual to determine their accountability in their daily work and actions.
Discuss the importance of academic integrity in higher education
The academic integrity plays an essential role in creating positive image of the
individual in the workplace and also creating positive influence on the entire
community. Academic integrity allows the students and other the freedom to build
new ideas, knowledge and creative work effectively while honestly respecting the
work of other students. Importance of academic integrity in the higher education are
mentioned below:
Build new ideas: One of the most essential part of academic integrity is that
it allows the students to build new ideas as avoiding any kind of plagiarism and
cheating promote students to build their own creative and unique ideas to be
different and being honest (Gavazziand Gee, 2018).
Creating positive image: Another importance of academic integrity is that it
allows the students to create positive image in the university. Following the five
pillars of academic integrity such as honesty, trust, fairness, respect and
responsibility as well carrying out each and every work fairly and honestly avoiding
any kind of plagiarism allows the students to create positive image at the university.
Being creative: The academic integrity allows the students to be creative in
their work. As the academic integrity leads the students to showcase their
understanding and analysis of the concept their own way allowing them to be

Describe the implications of academic misconduct
The academic misconduct is defined as any kind of dishonesty or cheating
that occurs in terms of carrying out the formal academic work by the students. It
includes the use of unfair practices by the students in order to represent their
academic task. It also includes the any kind of actions or work that result in creating
dishonest and unfair academic advantage for the students in their academic career.
The academic misconduct is the unfair and dishonest practices done by the students
in their academic career such as plagiarism, copying, cheating and so on (Griffin,
2018). It is consider to be the dishonest and unethical behavior from the students
behalf. Academic misconduct leads to creating many problems and challenges for
the students in their academic career, it also leads to directly influencing the image
of the students in their academic career path. Some of the implication of academic
misconduct are mentioned below:
Student's self esteem: One of the major implication of the academic
misconduct is that it directly influence the self esteem of the students. In case of
students caught cheating, or doing any kind of academic misconduct it will directly
influence their image and self esteem. Any kind of misconduct performed by the
students will lead to creating sense of guilty and low self esteem among the students
and impacting their confidence and motivational level (Huidu, 2018).
Inaccurate assessment: The academic misconduct will also lead to
inaccurate assessment for the students as when an student complete their work
through plagiarism or cheating it makes it difficult for the academic professor to
accurately assess the performance of the students of evaluate them effectively.
Copying others work will make the students to represent other idea and mislead the
professor to properly evaluate them. It will also lead to improperly judging the skills
and capabilities of the students by the professor (Liand Cornelis, 2020).
Social consequences: Another implication of the academic misconduct is
that it leads to creating social consequences for the students in their academic and
personal life as well. While following the academic misconduct to represent the
academic work leads to creating a habitual behavior among the students to continue

to do so. This will directly influence their performance and creating unethical
behavior in the academic work (Maloshonok and Shmeleva, 2019).

Discuss the steps taken, and difficulties encountered in producing
the game
In order to effectively and successfully produce the game and achieve desired
goals and objectives, proper steps were taken into consideration. Following the steps
allowed in properly carrying out the game, in addition to this there were some
difficulties that were also encountered in producing the game. The steps taken into
consideration in producing the game includes that first of all the game Pro-Plag will
be played in a team or individually, than the user needs to start the game through
login or start button. User needs to follow all the guidelines then click on the final
start button. User can analyses specific topic and utilize it in their content and then
compare the content with other and improve it accordingly. A systematic step or
procedure is followed from programming to producing the game. Some of the
difficulties encountered in producing the game are mentioned below:
Lack of IT skills: In order to produce the game effectively and handle the
technical problem the IT skills plays an essential role. While producing the game I
have analyzed that my IT skills are weak and needed to be improved in order to
handle the technical problems while producing the game.
Determining target audience: Another difficult which was encountered while
producing the game was analyzing and determining the target audience for the
game. For the success of the game it is essential to have a target users or the
audience. At first it was difficult to find the right target audience and enhance their
performance.
Lack of programming skills: During the process of producing the game I
have also analyses that my programming skills is not good and it is needed to be
improved in order to produce the game. Not having good programming skills was a
great barrier in producing the game, as the lack of programming skills lead me to not
able to produce the game. So in order to improve my skill I decided to join the online
classes and improve my skills.

Discuss the skills learned this academic year and those
emphasized in producing game
Skills are the ability that allows the students to enhance their overall
performance and achieve desired goals and objectives. Enhancing skills helps the
students to build confidence and motivate themselves to grow and develop
themselves effectively. Developing skills also helps the students to be successfully in
their career path. Some of the skills learned during producing the game are
mentioned below:
Creativity skills: Creativity is the ability to think of work or a problem in a
unique and different way. It is also the ability of an individual to utilize their
imagination in order to generate new and creative ideas. Creativity skills helps the
students to analyze the situation and find creative solutions. Producing the game pro
plag game helped in enhancing my creativity skills. In order to produce the game
which is needed to be creative and effective I have to think of unique and different
ideas ans also to produce it I have to think of unique methods for its effectiveness.
This helped me to enhance my creativity.
IT skills: Producing the game also helped me to enhance my IT skills. In
order to produce the game more effectively I had to watch number of online classes
in order to learn the graphics and designing the game. In addition to this I have also
done diploma courses so as to enhance my IT skills for designing and producing the
game. This process helped me to enhance my IT skills and effectively manage the
technical part of the game.
Excellent programming skills: In order to produce the game effectively
required the knowledge of programming, having required programming skills allows
the individual to effectively manage the technological consideration in the production
of the game. Taking various online classes and continuous practice helped me to
improve my programming skills and smoothly produce my game.
Conclusion
From the above report it has been concluded that following the academic
integrity allows the students to represent their work with honesty and fairness and
also allows them to be fair and loyal in their work. It is also analyzed that properly
following the five pillar of the academic integrity such as honesty, trust, fairness,
respect and responsibilities allows the students to be successfully in their academic
