Introduction
Motivation plays a vital role in the life of human being, it is required for in every
phase, in day to day to day life as well as in work life to keep mind directed towards
the goals. In a firm it is important to develop the factors which can motivate the
employees as motivated employees work in the betterment of the organization.
Motivation helps in carry off the time efficiently because motivated person does not
want to waste his time. It also increase the range of productivity in the firm and
helps in changing the negative behavior of the individual. This report is the
discussion on the meaning of motivation, factors which can affect the work of
employees on the job (Johnson, 2019). It also discusses about the the positive and
negative experience which employees experience due to their job roles along with
this the strategies to avoid the negativity in the organization.
MAIN BODY
What does Motivation Mean?
Motivation is the process of pushing an individual to work in the direction of
achieving the desired or organizational goal. Working of the individual can be
improved by motivation, he become more goal oriented. Motivation is of two types
one which derived or achieved by one's own self by doing activities of their choice
like listening musics , playing games etc. and other by some external factors like
recognition and appreciation by seniors, incentives, support from management or
others. Motivation of a person is related to some of his fundamental needs such as
food, water, air, shelter for living, some emotional needs like love, family,
relationship, apart from this a person wants to feel respected and admired at his
workplace. An individual also wants feel safe in terms of money, health and many
more things. After getting all these needs satisfied individuals reaches to its needs
which is related to realization of their inner potential (Huo and Boxall, 2018).

The various factors which motivate employees to work
Salary: If an organization pay good salary to its employees then it helps in
boosting the working efficiency of the employees and motivate employees to work
with more interest and build their faith in the institution. When an individual go for
job his first priority is to get the best amount of salary, which is helpful carrying out
his life, good salary results in the more job satisfaction for him. Offering a good
salary package can also help the organization to get the employee with good skills
and experience. For existing employee, salary is an important factor which
enhances their interest and willingness to complete task, it also keep them to work
in the company in long run and also reduces the employees turnover. In this way,
salary is one of the important motivator at workplace for the individual.
Promotion: As motivation factor promotion helps in increasing the passion and
enthusiasm of the employees to do more tasks. There are various types of
promotion which can be seen in any institution such increasing in the pay but no
change in the position, promotion which occurs due to the change in skills and
experience, some in which only responsibilities get increased but there is no
benefits given (Lee,Liu and Maertz, 2022). It will encourage them to grab more
profitable opportunities and improve their performance. When employees get
promotion in their work place, they start looking for more new opportunities to prove
themselves and become more efficient in their work. They start looking for more
chances and start working hard for the set target, this also increases the success
rate of the business. By getting promotion, employees become more productive and
gives good quality of work.
Work Environment: If an organization have good working environment then
employees feel more familiar and connected to the management. Better
communication among the staff of the firm and giving them chances to show their
skills and abilities is the important component for the firm to work in efficient
manner. Management should be concerned about the happiness and peace of the
employees and also focuses on providing safety related to their healthcare. A good
working space is important for developing the perspective of the employees, it also
develop the sense of team spirit in the organization and creates helping nature

The positive factors employees experience as a result of their job roles
An organization have to take some steps for creating the suitable working
environment for their employee and should adopt the modern process to evaluate
the working of the employees in the firm. When employees keeps employees their
preference, helps in encouraging the employees and listening their issues,
discussion on the problems related to job can increase the trust and loyalty of the
staff towards the company. Company should consider views of employees in
business meetings and give response to their suggestion and activities. There must
be clarification regarding the job, responsibilities and task assigned by the
management to the personnel, it will decreases the chaos and confusion at
workplace and assuring the employees that they are part of the community give
them the feeling of attached to the firm (MOZ and KLEINER, 2021). Company have
to avoid the avoid the assigning same task and duties to the employees, there must
be variety of jobs offered to the employees, as it helps in developing the innovative
workforce. For keeping employees motivated and positive for their job, company
must acknowledge them for their achievement and also assist the employees for
their growth.
The negative factors employees experience as a result of their job roles
There are some employees who may face several negative issues while working in
any organization like getting work in excess which builds pressure on them and
they only focus on the completion of the task rather than developing their own inner
skills and being innovative. Involvement of higher management for the success of
the organization also have negative impact on the working ability of the employees
and also reduces the overall production ratio of the company. Some employees in
the organization also get worried about their future plans which are related to the
safety of their job in the long run and also for the life after the retirement. Improper
management of time and absence of discipline in the firm also results in poor
working of the management. Organization should focus on providing the

challenging environment foe the employees so that they do not feel bore because
easy job and repetition of task as this could result in low growth of the employees
and this will make them frustrate at their job place. If companies do not allow their
employees to grow at individual level then this will discourage the employee and
they will think that the organization is not valuing them and only concern about their
general business goal, this could also generate the feeling of losing individual
efficiency among the workers (Van Beverhoudt, 2021).
Strategies to cope with negative factors employees experience as a result of
their job roles
Business organization as well as employees themselves must find some
ways to get rid of these negativity at the workplace as this will have adverse effect
on the working of the individual employee and whole organization. Workers must
have their control on their job which they are doing and at same time organization
should give them chance to grow and show their creative working skills. Employees
should be treated fairly and respected by everyone, no biased behavior should be
consider at workplace, each and every employee should get chance to involve in
the decision making activities. Friendly environment is very important for the fast
working of the firm, employees should talk and help each other, this will help them
in knowing each other. For the growth of the workers and avoiding boredom at job,
institution must focus on starting training and skill development program inside the
organization. Company should focus on creating a good leadership in the firm, this
helps in creating positivity and also in guiding the workforce in achieving the
objective of the enterprise. Compensation and benefits such as perks, good pay,
incentives, bonus, insurance, paid vacations, etc should offer to encourage the
employees who are performing well in the organization and punishment and
penalties for those who are creating negative surrounding (Yusuf,and et.al., 2020).
