INTRODUCTION
Professional and academic skills development is all about developing the skills by doing
reflections and activities for measuring the performances in doing a task (Neiles, 2020). This
report will include self reflection on personal learning and development and the transferable
skills and the identification on approaches. Furthermore, identification of the transferable skills
developed in attending module and skills developed during academic studies, personal life and
the workplace. Lastly it will include the personal development learning dog and action plan with
CV.
MAIN BODY
1.0 Self reflection on personal learning and development and the trasferable skills
Learning from academic activities brings development in my overall transferable skills by
Performing the task in groups as well as individually (Evans, 2019). This task involves a lot of
Knowledge, creative ideas and critical thinking for efficiency in work. I learned various skills
Like critical thinking skills, motivation and development skills. My main aim was to develop my
Motivation towards the work is to perform efficiently and effectively. My all the skills score is
above
95 but my motivation skill is somewhere lacking due to and need some improvements.
Although my communication skills were good but I need to work on my leadership skills for
Working in team effectively to guide the people correctly because weak communication skill
Lead to inefficiency in leadership. My overall score is good but some of my skills scored were
Between 55 to 70 or under 55 and I need to improve those skills on priority basis. Furthermore
My problem solving skills is good because of my good critical thinking skill and also I am good
at listening to people’s ideas and thoughts correctly.
1.1 Identification and reflection on my approach to personal learning and development
I identified all the means and ways about my skills and started using the approaches in real
life to learn and improve my skills which need improvisation. Followings are the ways I learned
and developed my skills:
Document Page
I identified all my weak skills which are making hurdles in attaining my overall goals.
Then I identified all the skills which I am expert in and developed many ways to make
use of those skills to the best to improve the overall skills.
I started comparing the present and the required skills for knowing the gaps for setting
the standards to work.
Arranging resources or making time to developing and learning the skills for achieving
the set goals accurately.
I used many models like Maslow theory for motivation and many other models for
making improvements in the skills.
Using learning styles of learning method for knowing the score of my skills approaches.
Learning style
I arranged all the performances and skills in the score board style in which each skill and
performances are being measured according to the score (Herodotou, 2018). If I scored under 55
then I need a lot of improvements same as if I scored more than I need less improvements. If my
score is above 91 or over then I am a highly motivated person for doing the task (Bhakti, 2018).
1.2 Identification of the transferable skills I have already developed by attending this module
I identified various skills which I learned during attending the approaches and developed
graphs and charts for comparing my results. I used different learning styles for measuring and
checking all my skills information I used four categories which are as follows:
Active charger: I tried new things with fun for experience and developing new skills and
creative ideas. From this I get to know my team working skills is good whose score is
above 80 which is good still I am improving finding ways for doing the things accurately.
Reflective Realist: In this style I started preserving all the things and work that needs
improvements and started finding ways how to do those things for making it happen in
practical life. My motivation skill is weak so I started using the theories and arranging
resources to learn the skill.
Quietly creative: After setting my goals for the future I used to develop my skills for
making it better in the future for overall future goals. Like I have to improve my
communication skills and leadership skills to perform team work with better
coordination in the future.

effectively in future. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs: This theory helps to satisfied all the needs by using various
methods to satisfy all the needs by using methods like reward, recognition, status,
achievements etc (Mata, 2021).

external need to do the task with full motivation with rewards and recognition
(Potjanajaruwit, 2020).
