 Professional and academic skill development plays a crucial role in growth and
development of an individual person.
 It is essential to develop skills so that goals and objectives can be accomplished (Dansieh,
2021).
 The report examines, challenges of studying business management and thriving in
professional practice, importance of effective academic and professional skill.

Challenges of studying business management
and thriving in professional practice
 It is important to study business management because it helps in determining
factors that can affect performance of business.
 Managers of an organisation are responsible for handling all the activities and
managing all things so that work can be completed on time.
 It is important to conduct market analysis so that better plans can be made.
 It is essential to identify choice of people and make products accordingly
 Managers of a company are responsible for determining choice of people and
make good quality products to gain competitive advantage.

Importance of effective academic skill
 Academic skills include, research skill, analysis, time
management skill, communication skill etc.
 This helps in achieving goals and objectives of company.
 In an organization it is essential to have academic skills so that
work can be completed on time and it helps in performing
better than others.
 Nowadays, competition is increasing and to get good
opportunities it is essential to have academic skills.
 Managers are recruiting candidates who are having knowledge
and skills to work efficiently and ability to work efficiently.

Importance of effective professional skill
 Professional skill means skill which is required at the
workplace and it helps in achieving goals and
objectives.
 Some skills employees already have and some skills
they develop while working in the company.
 Professional skill includes, leadership skill, teamwork
skill, emotional intelligence, organisational, flexibility,
self- motivated, problem solving, critical thinking,
collaboration skill. It also includes, professionalism
and strong work ethic, adaptability to change,
motivation skill.

Skill that is important in organisation
 There are some skills which is important in organisation
like, good oral and written communication, leadership
skill, critical thinking and problem solving skill.
 These are some skills which an employee should have
so that they can work efficiently and accomplish goals
and objectives of organisation.
 It is important to have necessary skills so that work can
be completed on time and it helps in creating good
image in market.

Action to develop skill
 It is essential to take necessary steps to improve performance so that better plans can be made and it
helps in achieving targets.
 There are some skills which I need to develop like, my communication skill is not so good and to
improve my skill I take help from Google and you tube channels so that I can perform better than
others.
 On you tube there are different steps are given to improve communication skill and I can improve my
vocabulary by taking help from you tube channels.
 There are recorded lectures of experts which help in increasing my confidence and I can learn new
things which is beneficial for my growth.

Effective team working skills
 Teamwork helps in achieving goals and objectives of an organisation. Managers of a
company are dividing work in teams so that work can be completed within the given time
period.
 Working in team is beneficial as it helps in generating new ideas, diverse perspectives,
innovative and creative idea is suggested by employees, sharing the workload, dividing
work to develop skills.
 Nowadays, competition is increasing and it is essential for employees to have necessary
skills so that they can work efficiently and it helps in achieving targets.

CONCLUSION
 From the above discussion it can be concluded that, academic and professional skill both play
a vital role in achieving goals of firm.
 Challenges of studying business management in profession practice has been discussed.
 Further, importance of academic and professional skill in an organisation has been described.
 Skill which is required at the workplace and I want to improve has been discussed.
 Actions taken to improve skills which is beneficial in achieving goals and objectives.
