INTRODUCTION
Information system refers to integrated collection of various components in which
data is collected, stored and processed in to get Knowledge, information and digital products
in effective manner (Akinyemi, and Iyiola, 2020). Various companies and organization use
information systems in order to manage and operate their various function and interact with
their supplier and customer effectively as well as become more competitive in effective
manner. It is mainly used to operate electronic markets and inter organizational supply chains
in effective manner.
The report describe theories, methods and techniques that are used to design and
develop IT solutions along with the explanation of major information system. It further
describe globalization and effects of IT in globalization along with the explanation of digital
infrastructure with its example, advantages and disadvantages. It also describe the risks that
associated with information system outsourcing and reason that make IT infrastructure
critical for its digital transformation.
Task 1
Theories, methods and techniques which relate to the design and development for TWO of
the IT solutions listed here: (i) McAfee; (ii) Moodle; (iii) Canvas; (iv) MS Office
McAfee-
McAfee is a Antivirus software which is used to block viruses while entering in
computer system as well as quarantine or kill viruses in order to make system smooth to
perform in effective manner (Anand, and Ram, 2018). It provides easiest online protection
from viruses, phishing, ransomware and hackers. It is the oldest one antivirus software that
help companies or other organization to get protection from various viruses as well as operate
their function effectively. It provide cyber security to the businesses by developing major
approaches and techniques in effective manner.
Method and Techniques of McAfee-
Behavioral detection- It is used to catch common viruses while detecting virus in a
computer system in order to run effectively. It used to detect mainly those virus that bypass
or shut down anti-viruses in the computer system.

Heuristic based detection- It is a one of the most effective method and techniques
used in antivirus software that consist application of an algorithm in order to detect viruses
that come in majority. It is mainly used to discover potential threats and latest virus in a
computer system.
Cloud Antivirus- It is an antivirus application and it was designed and develop for
detecting virus that exist in server. It describes that it detect those virus that are come in
computer system through internet sources.
MS Office-
Microsoft office refers to a set of computer applications that are used in companies
and other organization in effective manner. It was firstly introduce in 1990 by Microsoft
corporation (Babbar, and Bhushan, 2020). It helps companies by simplify their common task
or function as well as improve their productivity in effective manner. MS Word, MS Excel,
MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, Access and OneNote are the most effective office
application of the MS officer. It is one of the most uses application in all over world which
used by many organization from all over the world in order to operate their various function
effectively.
Methods and Techniques of MS office-
Real time co-authoring- It used to make friendly and effective working environment
in the organization by developing it in effective manner. It assist person for the development
of its objectives and goals defectively and them more productive in nature. It its application it
provide instant delivery engagement that feels like that people performing sessions.
Attachments- It is a complimentary software which is used to make MS office more
efficient and effective in order to operate in effective manner. It mainly consist images, PDFs
as well as calendar events. Microsoft office application use different application in order to
make one package that help user to operate it in computer in effective manner.

DSS (Decision Support System)
Decision Support system (DSS) refers to a computerized program which is used to
provide support courses of actions, judgment and determinations in a business or an other
organization in effective manner (Ebekozien, and et.al 2019). It used to identify huge
amount of data and compile broad information that are used by organization in order to solve

their problems and decision making process in effective manner. It helps in providing
detailed information by analyzing and gathering data in effective manner. One of the most
effective example of DSS is GPS route planning in which it helps in planning the best and
fastest routes in between two location from different option. It also has capability in order to
monitor traffic that occur in real time from a route.
ESS (Executive Support System)
Executive support system (ESS) refers to a reporting software that help companies in
order to convert their relevant and effective organizational data into a useful summarized
report. Executive level of managers of companies used these reports to quickly access reports
from all department of the company such as cost accounting, billing, scheduling, staffing and
so on (Górski, 2021). It helps them to solve problems as well as make decision in effective
manner. It mainly used four type of components such as software, hardware,
telecommunication and user interface in effective manner. Cambridge Systematics is a one of
the example of Executive Support System that provide the support to the investing designing
process of the Ministry of Transportation.
TPS (Transaction Processing System
Transaction Processing System (TPS) refers to a effective information system that is
used in enterprise in order to gathers, stores, retrieves and modify their transaction data into a
effective information. It is an advanced method of information system that help companies to
manage and handle transaction in order to operate it in all over the world in effective manner.
The main features of TPS includes reliability, performance and consistency. It is also known
as real time processing system because it analyze and process each and every transaction of
the company that occurs in actual time in the business. There are many examples of TPS that
exist in the world and used by the different organization in effective manner. One of the most
effective example of TPS is POS( Point of Sale), it helps in reducing the work of sales
executives if the product is tagged with its related information in this system.
MIS (Management Information System)
Management Information System (MIS) refers to a designed information system that
is used to manage information and data of the company or an organization in effective
manner. It mainly consist information related to employees, projects, departments, finances,
customers, suppliers of a company (Khoumbati, andet.al 2018). It helps in decision making
process in order to make effective decision in order to get best outcomes from it. It facilitate
communication and collaboration in the organization in which employees can share and edit

document as well as communicate relevant and important information with each other so,
they perform their work in effective manner. Examples of MIS are sales management system,
management reporting systems and inventory control system that are used in different
department on the organization in effective manner.
KSM (Knowledge Management System)
Knowledge Management System (KMS) is also a type of information system that
helps in storing and retrieving important knowledge in order to improving collaboration,
understanding and process alignment in effective manner (Liang, and et.al., 2018). It are
mainly of three types that is used in companies in order to share and manage knowledge
effectively which includes intelligent techniques, knowledge work systems and enterprise
wide knowledge. Tableau's Knowledge base is one of the example of KMS, it includes search
engine in order to help user to get effective solution for their problems in effective manner.

Globalization and the effects of IT on globalization
Globalization refers to a process of making interconnection in between one countries
to another through exchanging goods and services or trade in effective manner. It helps in
increasing interdependence of the world's cultures, economies and populations by developing
cross borders trades through exchanging technologies, goods and services as well as flows of
information, investment and people in effective manner. It helps local companies to increase
their sales and customer by expanding their business in effective manner.
Information technology is the main factors that helps companies to operate their
business functions from all over the world in effective manner. It has a great impacts on the
business in order to operate their business in order to globalize their business effectively.
Information system has a positive impacts on globalization in order to increase international

computing in all over the world and also help in eliminating important barrier in globalization

manner. Internet makes user more informed about products and brand, it helps companies to
expand their business in another country effectively. By the creation of work flow software it
helps companies to perform their work faster, cost efficient and most effective. It allows

Definition, example, advantages and disadvantages of digital infrastructure
Digital infrastructure is a collection of digital technologies foundation that helps in
developing companies information technologies and functions in effective manner. There are
many examples of digital infrastructure such as Internet Backbone, Fixed Broadband, Mobile
Telecommunications, Communication Satellite, Network Infrastructure, Data Centers, Data
Centers, Cloud Computing, etc. Internet Backbone is a principle data routes in which nations,
continents and regions are connected in a network to from the internet (Muchová, and
Raškovič, 2020). It is a very high speed data transmission technologies that provides high
speed internet services in all over the world. It is a largest data connections in the Internet that
help user to perform their work in effective manner. The major advantages and disadvantages
of digital infrastructure are described below:
Advantages of Digital infrastructure
Making more effective and data based decisions- Digital infrastructure helps in
analyzing huge amount of data in order to obtain meaningful and useful information.
Companies uses effective digital infrastructure in order to get effective information in order
to make decision for their business.
New economic development opportunities- Digital infrastructure provides new
economic development opportunities by attracting more companies from another countries in
effective manner. It helps companies to make more informed decision by analyze their
relevant data in effective manner.
Disadvantages of Digital infrastructure
Very limited security- It provides very limited security which create problems for
the company in order to operate their function in effective manner (Sharma, Garg, and
Khatri, 2019). Companies important data can be misused which create problems for them in
order to operate their functions in effective manner.

Risks associated with information systems outsourcing
Information system outsourcing refers to the practices of a business that uses external
providers in order to handle various information technology functions such as infrastructure
solutions, software development and software support. It helps companies in reducing their
expenses by decreasing production costs and employees in effective manner. It also helps in
reducing work pressure and burden among the employees so, they perform their function in
most effective manner. By using information system outsourcing in business, they have to
faced various issues or risks in their business (Stram, andet.al 2020). It is important for the
companies to develop risk management models in order to minimize risk that create problems
for them in order to operate their business in effective manner. Risks that associated with
information system outsourcing are described below:
Risk of data protection- It is a major type of risk that are mainly found in different
companies when they uses information system outsourcing in their business. Information
system outsourcing can be shared their important data of their products to their competitors
which creates problems in order to survive in the market in effective manner. By using
effective and appropriate operation in a companies, it can be minimized in effective manner.
Virus and malware- Virus and malware is also a effective risk of information system
outsourcing in which companies important data can be corrupted in effective manner. It raise
negativity in the organizational operation as well as create problems in order to perform it in
effective manner (Verma, andet.al 2019). Virus and malware makes the important data of the
company insecure while operating different function through information system outsourcing
in their business. It is important for the companies to use effective antivirus software in order
to get prevent from it in effective manner.
Lack of Professionalism- Professionalism is considered important in the company in
order to use information system outsourcing for their product and services in effective

manner. But if there is lack of professionalism for outsourcing, it create various problems in
order to operate their business in effective manner.
Why is IT infrastructure so critical to digital transformation!
Many industries are focusing in making their operations more digital in order perform
their different function effectively instead of using old and outdated methods in their
business. Companies uses different techniques and methods of information system in order to
make their systematic operations fast and effective in nature. In IT infrastructure, it always
focus on developing computers, applications, software, hardware and internet sources in
effective manner that helps companies or organization to develop their operations in effective
manner. By these developments companies become more effective in order to achieve their
goals and objective in most effective and relevant manner (Colli, andet.al 2021). Digital
transformation also helps economy to increase their growth and development in effective
manners if the each type of business uses more digital technology for their daily operations in

From the above mentioned report, it is concluded that information system and

manner. IT solution is a collection of related software and programs and services that helps
