Introduction
In today's world, it can be observed that various organizations are now adopting the
process of using information technology system to make the right decision and choice which
can help them in their future growth. In the current business situation, every company must
place various information system and applications which help them to collect all relevant data
in order to make decisions. An organization can make proper decision at all the different
stages related to their management with the use of effective computer software(AlNuaimi,
B.K.,and Ajmal, 2021.). Furthermore, in context to TESCO it is one of the biggest grocery
and merchandise store established in United kingdom. They operate and manage their
business function all around the world. Through IT solutions and software TESCO store and
use the collected data related to their administration. Later in this report the detailed
explanation on various theories and techniques such as Moodle and MS office is been
included. DSS(Decision support system), ESS(Executive support system), TPS( Transaction
processing system), MIS(Management information system), KSM( Knowledge management
system), is been summarized in this file. There are some pros and cons of globalization in
current situation which is been discussed in this report. Their are various pros and cons of
digital infrastructure as well. At last, the risk related with information systems outsourcing is
been included in this report.

In today's world, to maintain the competitive advantage in the market place almost every
business organisations are increasing the use of digital technologies day by day. In this
regard, many IT software's are planned and formed that make enterprise structure simple.
Some of the models are as follows:-
Canvas- It is an information technique which is used by an organisation as an
administration adviser and techniques service department. They are having extended human
relation with the major directional institutions and with the both small and large ventures in
order to attain their need of information technology. This tool also provide various benefits to
an organisation which helps them to do online acquisition in various ways. This tool also
figures out all the key strategic aspects related to the business model through visual
representation. AN organisation can visualize design and reinvent their overall business

framework with the effective and proper use of this model. In starting various start-up
ventures can make a distinct position of their procedure, finance, value statement and the
clients with the help of this model. (Anjana, Amarnath, and Nair,2018)
MS Office- This is the one of the crucial piece of desktop software which is been
created by the company Microsoft. This is being evolved with the aid of using the Microsoft
software for doing the complete analysis of their business operations. It is the proprietary
merchandise of the unique corporation. In historic time, the MS workplace is the dominant
version that is delivering modern office which is related to the documents while handling
software. Currently, this software program is working and it is interpreted in more than. 35
language and there may be the six primary applications that consists of the electricity factor
presentation, phrase, posted one word and access. Additionally there are 3 main Microsoft
this is the electricity factor and it's far the visible presentation. There are different Microsoft
phrase that is named as phrase processor and the 1/3 is excel that is the spreadsheet. In brand
new world, they could properly perform their commercial activity & additionally take the
benefit in workplace of internet packages through apple & android. Moreover, even through,
sure different forms of cloud phrase processors like Hemingway have conferred preference
for the unique sort of editing. There are various sub-software present in Microsoft office such

DSS (Decision Support System)
It is a computer software which is being adopted by an organization which helps
them in supporting their judgment, decisions and course of actions related to their business
function. This is a system which is used for the purpose of enhancing the business
performances which are related to middle and upper level management. This also allow the
organization and the user to make hard-hitting decision and can help them to enhance their
efficiency of doing assigned task before the given deadline. This also helps an organization to
do work with the right approach. An important example is GPS route planning. Tesco can use
this system to make their decision more accurate.

ESS (Executive Support System)
This is a technique which is connected to the human characteristic that also helps the
worker or the employee to function in their respective skill area that includes the modification
in their personal data. This technology assist them to use the companies valuable data and
information. This aspect help the top level management of an organization to make better
decision with the use of required data and information. One of the main function of this
system is that it saves valuable time in identifying the critical data. The higher authorities
needed the employee's information and reliable data for making those kind of administration
judgment. This software helps in rising up the personal efficiency, competitive advantage,
increasing organizational control, etc. In context of TESCO, they use ESS system to aid the
organization's investing preparation process. It also provide the necessary information about
current financial trend to their authorities before making the investment decision.(Gohar,
Muzammal, and Rahman, 2018)
TPS (Transaction Processing System)
This is a kind of software application that keep the course of confident transactions by
processing data with the help of online written communication systems. This system also
checked that related information is being attained and then deleted from the database
coincidental. In order to have the continues running of information related to the daily basis
activities of an organization, that is vital to process the transactions. This is the assorted
aspects which is completely depends upon different business activities perform by various
business. There are certain use of TPS which includes the sale order entry, payroll,
reservation system of hotel etc. In context to TESCO they can use this system to keep the
complete record of their sales which is done by them all around the world.(Nica, 2021)
MIS (Management Information System)
This is kind of software application that can help an organization by providing them
the ability to collect the affiliated, reliable and useful data which is related to the business.
The main purpose of this system is that it supports an organization in making an effective and

efficient decision regarding their future growth. It is the instrument which is adopted by
different organization with the sole purpose of reassessment and controlling the business
functions of their of their venture. On of the main purpose of Management information
system is that it helps an organization to use their business system in a proper manner.
Microsoft Dynamics, Fleetmatics and Thar-stern Limited are some kind of management
information system which are present in current time. Tesco can adopt this software to use
the outside information related to their business operations which can help them to stay
competitive in their market place.
KSM (Knowledge Management System)
This is kind of information technology that helps an organization to stock and
retrieves the knowledge for enhancing their business function and safekeeping all the
valuable data related to their company in a effective way. The knowledge management
system can be adopt by an organization which helps them to implement the knowledge
related to their company for the users and customer's. This is a tool that comprise the scheme
to assets file and information that also allows many individual of an organization to uphold
and comment on the overall activities done by others. In context to Tesco, they can use this
software to make a crystal clear communication between the workers and the management.

Task 3: Globalisation and the effects of IT on globalisation
Globalization can be refers as the procedure of facilitating the process of social and
cultural inter-contentedness, political interdependence and economy integration among
different nations all around the world. Furthermore, globalisation provides various
opportunities for multiple nations to attain a large number of product, service, human capital,
investment abd knowledge of the external markets. The main purpose of globalization is that
it makes the world more inter-dependent and more connected than ever before. The
multinational companies is working as the central actor in the globalization and its
advancement is being introduced in 1990. in that time the first technical progress is being
made with the up gradation of telegram to telephone. Moreover the invention of airplane can
allow the people to travel from one place to another in a short period of time. With the help of

all these innovation, this get many change in the field of globalization and make trad easy for
everyone. This also provide various benefits to the companies such as future growth, success

Effects of Information technology on globalisation:
Launching of World Wide Web has the superior influence on economic process as the
internet allows sharing of psychological feature and data quickly between the two entities.
Furthermore, it allows buyers and sellers to make deal at anytime and in any part of the globe
which further facilitates the growth of globalisation. Beginning of fiber optic cables is also a
turning point in the growth of globalisation as they are connected with accumulated speed
and information measure power. In abstraction to it, there are cell phones and laptops which

Technological advances have greatly facilitated the development of globalization,
allowing trading companies to increase their global trading and market share. It also helped
reduce the cost of transportation systems and improve communication channels between
different countries around the world. In this regard, it helps institutions acquire the global
origin of raw materials and important inputs.
Task 4: Definition, example, advantages and disadvantages of digital infrastructure
Digital infrastructure refers to the physical asset which are necessary to facilitate the
usage of information, computer programming gadgets, computerized systems and other
process. Digital infrastructure plays the important role in command to execute purpose and
bring progress in the society. Digital infrastructure intention is to decrease those terminal
points which are out-of-bounds due to the geographical boundaries and attempts to enable
high practical application progressions to take place.
Internet- It is a organized system of compounding billion of web servers present in
the whole world. It assist impressive human action across assorted boundaries and link people
with one another.

comes with risks. Disclosure of information to third parties can cause serious problems if the
information is misused in any situation. Some of the disadvantages of IT services are as
follows:-
 Uncertainty of compliance: Some other hazard element is connected with outsourcing
is that commercial enterprise firms can never be definite whether the 3rd party service
providers are obey with their contract or working according to their instructions.
