To evaluate the impact of workplace discrimination on employee
performance . With the changing scenario of external environment there is increase
of globalisation that is leading to a organization having huge diversity at workplace.
Sometimes there can be presence of discrimination at workplace on part of
employers that has to be managed properly so that there can be no negative impact
on employee performance level. Most of the employees feel discrimination on the
grounds of various factors including race, creed, religion, colour, age and physical
factors as unless the reasonable demand of position need prominent distinction
depends on the mental stability, martial status and physical factors.

been merged with the Asquith family business with the associated dairies company
of Yorkshire. In year 1970 & 1980 it as expanded in south of England. ASDA has
been second largest supermarket chain in Britain between year 2003 and 2014. in
year 2019 also it has been on the second position after TESCO.

situation of unfair treatment of employees or there are issues related to
discrimination at the workplace. The main idea on which the whole research report is
based consist of evaluating the relationship that is present between employee
performance level and the way employers are treating them. There are situations
where it can affect the productivity of employees in a negative manner and overall
performance of employee also gets affected in form of reduced revenue situations.

What do you understand by the concept of workplace
discrimination?
What can be some of the key issues associated with practises of
workplace discrimination?
Determine the overall impact on employee performance arsing
because of situations of workplace discrimination?
Formulate strategies and tactics that can be used by ASDA in order
to deal with the negative impact on employee performance level. ?
Research Aims and Objectives
Research Aim:
To make a detail examination of the potential issues that can affect the
employee performance because of situation of workplace discrimination.
A case study on ASDA.
Research Objectives:
To develop a overview of the concept of workplace discrimination
To determine some of the key issues associated with practises of workplace
discrimination
To analyse the impact on employee performance arsing because of situations
of workplace discrimination
To determine some of the suitable strategies and tactics that can be used by
ASDA in order to deal with the negative impact on employee performance
level.
Research Methodology
Research Approach:
Research approach is a procedure or a plan that includes different steps that are
part of the broad assumptions that includes the detailed methods of data collection,
analysis and future interpretation of the collected information. The research

approach is basically divided in two categories that are approach of data collection
and the approach of data analysis.
Deductive approach: It is a deductive inference where the conclusion has to be
true. There is generalization from general to specific (Bobrovskij, 2018). There is
data collection that is further adopted for evaluation of propositions and there is
adoption of hypothesis that is part of existing theory.
In the present research report there will be use of deductive approach where there is
selection of general information moving towards specific sources.
Inductive analysis: It is a inductive references where known premises are used for
the purpose of generation of untetsd conclusions (Marshall, Coleman and Reason,
2017). In this scenario there is generalise of specific to general, the data collection is
used for exploring a phenomenon, identification of themes and patterns for creation
of a conceptual frameworks. There is generation of theory in this concept.
Research Strategy:
Grounded theory is a systematic methodology that is used by many research in this
theory there is general application to the qualitative form of research that is generally
conducted by the social scientistic. In this the methodology involves with a proper
construction of hypotheses & theories with the timely collection of data and then
further it is analysed (Berrey, Nelson, and Nielsen, 2017). The grounded theory
involves the concept of inductive reasoning where the methodology is in constant
with the hypothetical deductive model that is generally applied in case of traditional
scientific research.
Case study survey is a research design that is a survey administer to a case where
there is a small sample or a entire individual population to describe the aspect or
characteristic of the whole population, the responses are further analysed to
describe the overall trends of population to further test the hypothesis and the testing
of questions. These can be applied both in situations of societal since and natural so
that a theory can be validated according to study the human behaviour or further
comprehend different social aspects according to the present scenario of a research
report.
The survey method includes where the data is collected from a enquire population of
a while large sample so that there can be comprehending of the opinion in a more
better manner.

In case of present research report the method that will be used by the researcher for
the purpose of carrying on the work and then analysing the collected information
there will be use of survey. It help in gaining reliable and valid information
in a proper manner that results into attainment of positive outcomes.
Research Methodology: It is an important part of the research project
as it support in gathering of valid as well as accurate information about
the particular topic. This section consist of methods as well as
techniques that is involved in the research, which are as follows:
The prominent concern for the effective analysis and type of
analysis to push forward in an effective manner in terms of drawing the
substantial and dependable outcome. Besides this, the suitable research
is all about the qualitative and quantitative and also undertake effective
flow of assessment within the working manner undertaking the
quantitative research that will be suitably considered by the business
analyst significantly which is efficient in terms of offering legitimate result
by storing up for the effective statistical data factors by handing off for
the prominent assessment and impact of separation on the presentation
of representatives within the working environment. Hence, the
quantitative research technique is prominent in terms of organising
descriptive analysis over the prominent areas to identify the significant
collision of discrimination on the overall performance of workforce within
the organisation with the help of collecting information with prominent
figures and facts.
Data collection tools: Data collection services are ordered between two
sorts considering the example of both primary and secondary factors for
having prominent accumulation of information. In regard of this, existing
research work undertake both the factors in terms of having suitable
sources which are applicable for the existing study. Hence, considering

the present research at the workplace, primary study is beneficial to
identify the development with the help of implementing survey and it
prominently offered in terms of developing by questionnaire. Hence,
effective questionnaire is suitable regarding the accumulation of
information from the broad area to measure the suggestions considering
statistical factors. Hence, secondary sources are effective in terms of
improving the understanding for the particular area which is useful in
knowing the project in an effective manner.
Research Tools: For undertaking the present research, questionnaire
will be used and is effective as it is valuable in covering research aims
and objectives of the investigation. In addition to this, it also give
descriptive measures that help to draw reliable and valid outcomes. So.
In this the data is mainly collected within the statistical aspects that are
properly measurable & also evaluate important results.
Sampling: It is significant for the researcher to select an appropriate
sampling method in order to collect information. There are mainly two
forms of sampling that is probabilistic & non-probabilistic sampling. In the
present research, random sampling method is chosen by the are of non-
probabilistic sort that aid In gaining genuine and dependable information.
For gaining information, the population of 40 is selected and they are the
employees working in ASDA.
Timescale
It is significant for the researcher yo set the time period of activities so that it
can compete on time period. For this, Gantt chart is used by investigator. It is
consider as a graphical tool which assist researcher in identifying the starting time

and ending time of activities. Thus chart consist of number of tools which have been
included and useful for researcher for completion of project on time period. The
activities of present investigation is discussed below:
