and the numerous benefits associated with it. The following assignment comprises of a proper description
about the fundamental aim and objectives of the project, and a visual illustration of a timeline, which
demonstrates the specified timeline constraints linked with every task. The assignment further consists of a
proper data collection process and analysis of the relevant data in context to the case scenario. Finally, the
assignment provides a brief reflection provided by the learner regarding their acknowledgement through the
project.
LO1: Establish project aims, objectives, and timeframes based on the chosen theme scenario.
P1 Devise project aims and objectives for a chosen scenario
Project theme:
The main theme of this project is considered as the impact of globalization on the activities of the business in
that organization. The main concern of this project understands the globalization process in the economy of
the respective market and the requirements of various business models along with different strategies for
efficient work in the globalized market. To maximize the business, globalization of the economy has a great
impact on the global market along with boundaries and customs (Ritzer and Dean, 2019). The sense of
Cultural awareness, cooperation sense also has been promoted by this globalization. Therefore, the impact of
globalization has a significant role in the development of the business.
Focused Problems of this research
Localization, Globalization, International business is terms that indicate to the business prospect and growth
of an organization or a company (Smith, 2016.). Globalization particularly refers to the business expansion of
an organization, and start operating in one or more than one foreign countries. In recent years, automobile
industries have witnessed a comparably sustainable growth in business. After the financial crisis in 2008-09
automobile industry, again cope up successfully with the problems of downturns, and bankruptcies. The same
is applicable to the business of automobile company BMW. In 2006, BMW had manufactured 1,373,970 units
of cars, whereas they manufactured 2,463,526 units in 2017 (Yousufet al., 2016). However, this gigantic leap
in the international or global business has also thrown some potential challenges that can shape and affect the
business of BMW negatively.
Political Obstacles-
Document Page
Political environment, such as laws, acts, rules and regulation of the country may directly affect the business
of a company, either in a positive or negative way. Political environment itself is a summative result of
policies of the government, governmental ideologies (Del Castillo, 2017), and bureaucratic acts of the
country. If these factors are encouraging and helping at creating business opportunities for global marketers
then organizations may seek higher chances of expansion and growth. However, on the other hand, if they are
barring these opportunities then it may lead to financial loss. For example, if the national policies of a country
set a higher rate of taxation, employment rate, high expenditure for infrastructure, supply chain and
transportation, then it will create a negative impact on BMW’s business, as it may lead to the problems like
price hike, high employment cost etc.
Social Obstacles-
Customers and employees are the backbone of any organization; no matter how advanced an organization is
in its technical uses. Therefore, social environment of the target market will essentially affect the business of
any organization that is going to start operating in that country or region. Culture, choices, requirements,
habits and purchase ability or power determines the purchasing quality and quantity by the customers of a
particular place (MOURA et al., 2015). Hypothetically speaking, if the characteristics and features of BMW’s
car are unable to fulfil the expectations and requirements of the customers of a particular country, then it will
lead to loss. In addition, several social issues can create negative impact within the organization. In order to
expand its business in a particular foreign country, BMW have to recruit employees from the locale. If the
people of that country have any particular tendency or choices regarding work culture and work habit then it
can poses high risk for manufacturing and marketing practice of BMW.
Technical difficulties-
Technology is an inseparable part of business, especially for automobile industry. With the emerging
consciousness about advanced technology and technological applications and tools among people, automobile
companies like BMW also have to implement advanced technology for the manufacturing of their product.
However, successful implementation and installation of these technologies requires special training,
understanding and skill set (Delios, 2017). As far as the necessity of technology is concerned, the Human
Resource Department of BMW has to assess and evaluate the employees of foreign countries, whether they
are capable of handling or operating relevant tools or not. Moreover, it also compels to implement skill
development trainings and programs. This will directly affect the employment rate and cost management of
BMW. It also may lead to the problems like recession, price hike or organizational inflation.
Justification of selecting this Project
In the present world of globalization, every company is gaining profit as well as facing multiple troubles in
their business activities. That is why organizations should be focused on maintaining its management and
organizational structure in an effective manner. In case of BMW, instead of the massive technological
development of this company, this company is now facing technical difficulties as the employees working in

this organization are not all well-known with the application of those technological aspects. On the other
