Answer 1
Books in my life have played a very important role, and I would not say that
I am a voracious reader, but I still take time out of my schedule to go
through the books which interests me. Some of the books which have left a
lasting impression on me are: Harry Potter (All the parts), Mock who sold
my Ferrari, Autobiography of Steve jobs, who moved my Cheese,
Freakonomics & Mein Kampf. These books have somehow changed my
perception towards life, changed my perception at looking at things and
also helped me in getting a creative vision for the future. All the books I
have read are at different stages of my life, thus play a significant role in my
life stage.
Answer 2
The books which I have read can be seen as a mix of novels; both fiction
and non-function, some of the books have been science fiction, and the
current book I am reading is Homo-sapiens, which states with fact and
hypothesis the evolution of a human being. Some of the books such as
Harry Potter was at my home, because my younger brother was a harry
potter fan, he introduced me to the book. Freakonomics was referred to me
by my father and I liked it, rest, almost 80% of the books I have purchased

or read online on Kindle. I used to visit library during my college days, back
in the days I was into Marketing and Management, I loved the book by
Father of Management, Phillip Kotler. Personally to me, books are very
dear, I mean the hard books, I prefer not to share my books as I don’t trust
people around with my books. I always keep my books in a neat and tidy
condition. I still have all the books, neatly arranged in my book shelves and
I make sure that no dust gets onto them.
I can say, that books most definitely are man’s best friend, and a person
should most definitely learn the lesson books impart. Because more than
just stories, it is a reflection of great wisdom and leadership and people can
learn a lot from such tales. The books thus I believe are important for the
learning and development of a human being, it broadens their horizon of
thinking and also helps in getting a great vocabulary.
Answer 3
I started reading books at a very early age, but back in the day, it was just
for my summer breaks and my parents used to force me to get into the
habits of reading books. It was just before my graduation I started taking
books seriously and developed keen interest in them. It was I believe 2010
when I came into full swing on book reading, I was constantly being
distracted by the growth in Social media and Youtube, the growth in media

was most definitely a time waster for me, however, I was focussed on
reading at least 1 book a month. With books, I have always had a positive
experience; I have always learnt a thing or two from the books.
For instance, I loved how accurately certain facts regarding reduction of
crime in New York were explained in the book, Freakonomics. This made
me realise that there is always a scientific explanation to situation and one
just have to be more observant in seeing the things. One of the coming of
age experience I had was, while reading the autobiography of Steve Jobs
written by his close friend, in the book, the writer explained the vision of
Steve Jobs, and how he was so confident about the products that were
designed at Apple, more so, because he was so much engrossed with the
product designing. This made me realize that in order to succeed in life, one
has to have a clear vision and have to commit to the end goals.
Answer 4
I am of the opinion that with so much of distraction around due to the
growth in social and digital media, books will become incessantly
important for the growth of the present and the future generation. Social
media in my view will fade, as people would realize that it does takes away

a lot of time of an individual and people would move back to the days
where they used to sleep with their reading glasses on. However, electronic
media and digital revolution will have a strong role to play in the
penetration of book. Certain innovation like audio books and Kindle will
change the shape of the book reading culture for good. But, in the end,
there is no two doubts that books will continue to dominate over electronic
media.
