In this report the emphasis will be given on employee’s motivation which can be boosted
with the help of communication tools. It will focus on communication tools like discussion
forums and chat rooms. The importance of communication and motivation will also be
highlighted in this report. Without proper channel of communication it has been evaluated that it
is not possible to boost the workplace motivation. In the next phase of the report the
recommendations will be discussed that can help the company to minimize the issues.
Recommendations will be given to boost the workplace motivation so that employees can
efficiently conduct their activities. In the last phase of the report, conclusion will be discussed by
analyzing the entire report which will assist in boosting the workplace motivation.
Concept of Motivation and communication in workplace
Motivation and communication is considered as an important factor of the company that
can help to accomplish goals and objectives in effective manner. Motivation is related with the
actions and desires of an individual. Communication means to convey the information with each
other at the workplace. Through communication the employees are motivated in the workplace.
It has been evaluated that if there is proper communication in the workplace then it can be simple
to enhance workplace motivation. Employee’s motivation is important as impact is seen on the
overall productivity level (Leary & Baumeister, 2017). The owners and managers of the
company should also analyze the role of communication in workplace.
By proper communication it can be simple for the managers to reduce the errors and also
duplication of work can be minimized. Through proper communication decisions can also be
made in the right manner that can give positive impact on the employees. In the workplace the
relations are built between the employees and managers if there are proper communication
channels (Bosworth, 2018). Clear and honest communication between the employees and
managers can helps to boost the relations and also productive relationships can be maintained. If
proper relations in the workplace are maintained then it can be simple to focus on goals and
objectives of company. By proper communication channels it can be simple to train the
employees and with proper training the motivation level also enhances (Reeve, 2014). If
managers are focusing on overall employee performance and creating training programs then

in creating training programs that can also improves the skills of the employees (Mikkelson,
York & Arritola, 2015). Therefore, it can be stated that communication helps to enhance the
workplace motivation in a proper manner.
Communication tools
It has been analyzed that there are various communication techniques or tools which is
considered by the Nestle Company. Without communication tools it cannot be easy for the
company to motivate the employees. Communication techniques and workplace motivation are
directly connected. Nestle focuses on the communication tools like chat rooms, discussion
forums and emails. Through these tools it can be simple for the company to communicate with
the employees and it will directly motivate the employees to conduct the activities in the
workplace.
A chat room is one of the communication tools which are considered by the company so
that employees can be motivated towards the work and complete their task in efficient manner.
Through chat rooms the communication takes place between the employees and clients and also
between the managers and employees. It is also one of the motivation factors as through this
employee can easily solve their queries in right direction. It has been evaluated that employees
share their views and opinions which can enhance the level of motivation (Miner, 2015).
Next communication tool is related with the discussion forums. This tool is also known
as bulletin board where employees can leave their messages and can wait to see the response.
This is one of the effective communication tools that can help to employees to give opinion and
views. When employees share their ideas the feeling of engagement enhances and it is the
responsibility of the managers to give positive response so that motivation level can be enhanced
of the employees who are conducting their routine operations in the workplace (Elcomcms,
2017).
The last strategy is concerned with emails. The employees have the chance to give their
feedback through emails also. They can suggest and can share their information with other
employees or with the top management through emails. The information which is send through
emails can be kept safe and privacy can also be maintained. Through communication with other

employees or with top management it can be simple to feel comfortable and happy for the
employees. This is also one of the medium of communication that should be considered so that
motivation level can be enhanced in the workplace. Emails are considered as the best and
effective way to communicate and the information can be secured easily.
Recommendations
It has been evaluated that communication is helping the company in various manner but
many times Nestle faces issues at the time of giving motivation to the employees or boosting the
workplace motivation. When new employees are appointed in the company it has been analyzed
that motivation is important for them so that they can conduct the activities in the right direction.
So, in this situation the company should conduct meetings with the employees and give them
chance to discuss their views and opinions so that they can feel satisfied and happy. The problem
which is faced by the company is related with duplication of work. When there is no proper
communication in the workplace then duplication of the work takes place in the company.
Therefore, in this situation the employees should be communicated the responsibility so that
operations can takes place.
Nestle should appoint an individual for solving the issues so that issues can be solved and
decisions can be taken in a proper manner. It will also enhance the level of motivation in the
workplace. Also to boost the motivation in the workplace the company should announce
incentive process so that dedication and efficiency can be enhanced of the employees.
Conclusion
By analyzing the entire report, it can be concluded that motivation is considered as an
important factor that can be enhanced with the help of communication tools. In the recent
scenario, without communication it is not possible to motivate the employees. The company uses
chat rooms, discussion forums and emails to communicate with everyone in the workplace. But
then also there are many issues that take place and duplication of work takes place.
So, in this case to reduce the issue the company should focus on conducting meetings in
which proper explanation of the incentive plans. It can enhance workplace motivation and can
help to conduct the assigned task with proper dedication and efficiency. Incentive policy should

be one of the motivation factors for the employees that should be considered so that it can be
simple for them to conduct their operations in the right manner. Therefore, the issues can be
reduced with the help of proper consideration of the policies which will motivate the employees
