Environmental analysis helps the company to know opportunities available to them and challenges or
threat that company may face in the future. Through this companies are able to determine and identifies
all the internal and external factors that may affect the operational and financial performance of the
company.

Political: This factor leads Boots company to face challenge of lowering the price of their
products along with operating the business for longer hours (Loizia and et.al., 2021). It is because
of the UK government policies which strictly tell to open pharmaceutical stores within the
supermarkets.
Economical: Due to COVID-19 the prices of the fuel are increases drastically and the put huge
impact on the Boots supply chain channel. The impact is that the company need to increase its
price and cover this cost from the customers.
Social: During the pandemic, government is continuously spreading the knowledge of what to
eat, how to eat and at what time to eat. This all-health related campaigns of the government boost
the sales of the company (Loizia and et.al., 2021). Because Boots grab this opportunity and
provides healthier products at low price to its customer.
Technological: As the technology and networks is innovated on daily basis. Customers are now
more attached with online shopping rather than offline. This act as an opportunity for company as
company operate its business on both offline stores and online apps.
Environment: This factor indicate that the company must produce the products after considering
the global warming risk and follow the Wildlife Act as well. So, Boots company invest funds on
greener products to support sustainable development.
Legal: There is one case related to sex discriminations against the Boots company because of
which company faces threat of paying attention towards their packaging and labelling of products
(Loizia and et.al., 2021). This will impose extra financial liability on the company.
Impact of government on Boots Company
Boots is a multinational company provides the healthcare and beauty care products to all customers all
over the world. There is around 21.1% growth in the health and beauty industry from 2017 to 2022. This
is because of the government intervention and policies (Subramaniam and et.al., 2019). The government
secure the industry with the various campaigns such as National Hair and Beauty Federations. The
government announces the personal care as monumental for the sector and which put positive impact on
the customers.
Impact of Environmental changes on business activity
Earlier or later the environmental changes cause lots of diseases which cancer, asthma, heart
diseases etc. And the impact of the environment changes on Boot’s business is that there is increase in the
demand of the healthcare products (Huntington and et.al., 2019). The customers are more attached with
their skins which get dull with the change in seasons. The impact is that it increases the responsibility of
the company to produce the safe and secure beauty products.
