Organisational sustainability refers to those concept of the organisation under which the
management of the organisation has done the activities of the business without compromising thr
growth of the future. At the past time when the concept of sustainability does not came in to the
light then several business organisation has conduct the growth of their business by wastage of
the natural resources and also the number of activities which negatively impacts the natural
resources of the world (Blomberg and Welander, 2019). The world has witnessed several type of
natural disasters. It becomes the duty of the government and related parties that they enables the
business organisation to conduct the sustainable growth of their organisation. There are many
techniques and measures are developed in the market which are very helpful for the company to
conduct their business in sustainable way. One of the effective and valuable sustainable
technique which is common in the market is Green washing technique. This technique of the
organisation are very helpful and enable the management to deceive their customer to believe
that the product provided by the sellers are friendlily and does not harm the natural environment
in any manner of the organisation. The organisation which is chosen here to demonstrate this is
BP plc BP Plc is established in 1909 and has its headquarters in London, United Kingdom. Its
mission is to integrate all its activities towards a fundamental equality and strives to become a
sustainable organisation. This report provides brief discussion related to the sustainability and
the different types of green washing strategies used by the companies to operate their business
and to deceive their customers.

the organisation has applied the approaches of the sustainability such as pollution prevention,
reducing the wastage tree plantation and many more (Cheng and et. al., 2018). There are many
benefits are present which can enjoy the organisation if they have develop effective sustainability
approach in their organisation such as the reputation of the company can improve in the market
which are very helpful for the creation of effective and strong customer base in the organisation.
It is one of the important measure for the protection of the environment in the market. Green
washing is one of those technique under which the management of the organisation has mislead
their customers about the truth of their product. The use of this technique are very negative for
the organisation as the reputation of the organisation are on the edge which has done negative
role for the development of the organisation in the market. The management of the BP plc has
used different types of green washing strategies to flaunt their customers in relation to their
product that they are eco friendly in nature. The scope of the green washing techniques are very
high as it conveys to the related parties that the use of this technique has reduces the carbon
emission and sustainability from the process of production from the organisation (Cruz-Jesus,

washing techniques and mislead the people of the country that their products has promotes the

et. al., 2019). BP Plc is facing this challenge for adoption of sustainable practices as this
organisation needs to have green practices in order to maintain operational process. In order to
have proper requirement in business, cost of company also increase. In order to overcome of this
challenge, business needs to make small initiatives.
In order to overcome of these challenges, business needs to adopt sustainable innovation in their
organisation. It is one of term that consist intentional changes into products, service and process
of company in order to generate long term environmental and social benefits along with aim of
generating profit. In order to adopt this innovation, Focus of BP plc is on developing novel
products that directly focus on attaining sustainability in business (Sharma, 2018). Changing
operational processes is another ways in which organisations can adopt sustainability in which
firms make change in existing products. In order to make business sustainable, BP Plc needs to
adopt these strategies which helps them to overcome of challenges in business.

Life style of a person can be described as different attitude, preferences and belief of a person.
As an environmental aware individual, I believe in using environmental friendly practices and in
order to motivate others, I purchase the product from that organisation which adopt these
sustainable practices in business. I also offer values to different practices and also approaches of
firm. This sustainability also helps me to make balance of different components which is
essential for future generation. It is important for me in order to ensure the betterment of
societies and also for community development (Staniškienė and Stankevičiūtė, 2018). In
business world, this approach is playing an important role as it allow provide them different
benefits. Sustainable practices is one of the important term which assist business for adopting

eco-friendly practices in business. These eco friendly approach helps business for purpose of
saves energy of business and also helps them to use fossil fuels in order to make renewable
sources (Tushar and et. al., 2019). There are different types of products to be produced by
business and adoption of sustainable practices for this production helps them to give contribution
for environment. These products are considered as sustainable products as it helps business for
purpose of avoiding pollution and also protect customers from harmful substances. Business
needs to adopt different approaches are recycle, reuse for purpose of promotion of sustainable
development. It is also used by business for purpose of minimisation of greenhouse emission
from environment and helps to control harmful gases in environment and also results in change
in climate condition. In order to adopt these sustainable practices in real life, I prefer to avoid
use of paper as increasing use of paper results in cutting down of tress. Massive use of paper in
daily life style create negative impact over environment. I also liked to eat vegetable which are
farm fresh and free from harmful substances (Weaver and et. al., 2019). I also prefer to use
pelvic transport rather than my own vehicle in order to benefits to environment and also I prefer
to buy clothes which are made environmental friendly materials
CONCLUSION
From above mentioned project report, it can be concluded that sustainable development is one of
important term for business as it consists different process like acquisition, optimisation of
different natural resources. It is also important for purpose of minimisation of carbon risk and
also working over improving operational efficiency. It is also an important term that focuses on
attracting new employees in an organisation who has knowledge of using sustainable practices in
business. Consumers also prefer to buy products from those companies that focus on adopting
environmental friendly practices. In order to adopt these practices, different challenges occur in
path of business. These challenges are related to increasing cost, time consumption and other
which create negative impact over the business. In order to overcome these challenges, business
needs to adopt different strategies which provide them the opportunity to overcome challenges. It
also helps them to adopt new techniques which business for sustainable innovation in their
organisation.
