Values audit
The following personal values are some of the vital values that I hold in high regard. These
particular values have helped to accomplish my goals and succeed throughout my entire
undergraduate program.
Accountability: ‘taking high responsibility for my own personal actions. Commitment: ‘Ability
to be dedicated to what I do.
Leadership: Demonstrating direction to a particular team during group assignments and
completion of a group project. Am able to be in charge of people and lead as an example
Creative: ‘able to solve a particular problem arising without panic and in an efficient manner
(Burke, 2010, p.97
Honesty; Holding high integrity values. This is the best investment as it involves being sincere in
an honorable manner.
Teamwork: able to work under no supervision in a combined action group efficiently Clarke,
2013. p.684).
Consideration of personal values is very important to career management as they impact every
particular aspect of my entire life. Personal values are vital as being able to demonstrate both my
personal and work behaviors. They are crucial since they help me make significant life and
career decisions.
Holding personal values will also enable me to interact harmoniously with other people and the
environment. Evidently, the decision that students make during career management is the

ultimate reflection of values and believes as they are always directed towards a specific objective
(Dries, 2011, p.364). Conversely, this objective is the satisfaction of our personal career needs.
As students, when we utilize these key values to in decision-making process, we make an
intended choice to mainly focus on what career is beneficial to us in future endeavors. These
values will enable me to identify what work values I cherish that best align with my personal
values in order to identify whether to accept a job offer or not in that particular career. In that
case, I will be able to fit better and be comfortable in the career that I intend to pursue.
The field of work that I intend to pursue after completion of undergraduate studies is in the field
of finance, accounting, and auditing. Developing the skills required for these areas are therefore
highly important in order for me to be competitive in the job market. My undergraduate degree
has been helpful as it has enabled me to develop various skills. Some of the skills learned include
the following:
Financial planning: These will help me to help customers and community and advise them on
the benefits of planning for future saving and finance investments.
Solving accounting problems to minimize risk: I have developed great accounting skills that
are also important in solving problems and minimizing risks such as frauds and corruption rates
in the company (Hirsch and Fischer, 2013, p.77).
Auditing reports: My ability to be committed to work and accountability values will help me in
making sure that the firm follows strict guidelines that are in conformity with the laid accounting
and auditing standards. (Valentine, Godkin, Fleischman, Kidwell, Page, K., 2011, 509)

Project management skills' developed: these skills during my undergraduate studies during
group discussions and successfully accomplishing group projects. I intend to utilize this
important skills in overseeing the completion of company project goals in order to acquire huge
profit returns on investment (Morgan, and Wine, 2018, p.223).
Capability audit
According to (Dries (2011, p.364) having good leadership and communication skills are very
important to secure a job in the future. These incorporate capabilities, information, attitudes,
capacities, and experience. My past job experience working at National Australian bank(NAB)
helped me understand the job criteria's needed in order to secure a job and be successful while
carrying out duties (Gubler, Arnold, & Coombs, 2014, p.38). Working alongside various
employees supervisors, top executive managers have equipped me with key leadership and
communications skills. At the point when the rankings of these key choice criteria are analyzed
inside enterprises, 'Relational and relational abilities (and so forth.)' remained the absolute most
much of the time assigned determination measure for the majority of the business skills under
examination.
Being able to lead various school business clubs and participating in workshop training programs
enabled me to develop effective communication skills. My job role in the accounting area at
National Australian Bank (NAB) enabled me to interact with customers and stakeholders thus
developing strong interpersonal skills. I was also able to execute accounting and planning work
in a time-saving manner. This enabled me to ensure that the department I was in operated
continuously in an efficient way (Lent and Brown, 2013, 88).
