There are a series of steps in business process that has to be followed to achieve the goal
that has been set. In the process model certain steps has repeated multiple times and the process
has been optimized. Each steps had all the details present. There are task require for decision
making where maximum efficiency and effectiveness where obtained. The process model of the
business that has been describe in this paper is possibly made complex and is well defined so that
the delivery and mode of payment for the order could be successfully manage. The process
model in the selling and buying of book has been visualized in the form of a workflow during the
whole business process. The model shown above has use the software of BPMN 2.0 for selling
and buying the second hand books and then resale it. The student who had completed their
subject related course sell the book to the user. The payment being done to the student with
invoice after the negotiation. The user keep the list of the book with the seller from where the
book was taken. It is then sold to the student who is about to study regarding the university
course for the next course. The payment receive from the student who purchase it from it 10 %
of the fee is given to the University as a concession fee and 30 % of the fee is given to the seller
of the book. The book that are taken are considered to be in good condition otherwise the student
who is selling the book would be return back to them. The whole process of book buying and
selling goes for each time the student buy and sell the book until the particular book is in demand
to the university and what the teacher preferred the most for both themselves and the student.
There are three pools in the process model. The first two pool is for the seller and the university.
The seller keeps the list of book and the price and it also receive 30 % fee of the payment that the
user receive while selling the book to the student and the next pool that is the university shows
the 10% concession fee that they will receive from the user. The second pool is the Book Selling
and Buying Process which shows the sale, payment and delivery process. Each of the sub pool

has certain activities which make understand about the whole process of each sub pool. In the
payment process there are options for the student to select which mode of payment the student in
comfortable in making the payment. The option provided are net banking, credit card or debit
card and the student even can make the payment through the cash. Whatever payment receive or
made both the invoice are sent to the student for further clarification. If in any case it happens
that the payment was not able to get confirm in that case the student is provided with the
message of failure of the transaction to order whichever the case may be depending on for what
reason the delivery has got cancelled. The delivery process is mostly done by the DHL or
sometime by FedEx. The delivery team collect the order of the book with complete
documentation. A message has been send to student regarding the acknowledgement and
delivery confirmation. The model is of the process which is completely digitised and has been
develop using the BPMN software in Visio application which gives the complete understanding
of Book Buying and Selling Process.
