Generic is a drug sold at a low cost compared to the brand name drug. The brand-name
drug with generic available includes, ACEON that is a brand name with Perindopril as the
generic medicine. it is used in clinics to treat high blood pressure, kidney failure and heart
problems like the heart attack. Another brand name drug is TRILEPTAL with oxcarbazepine as a
generic drug. It is used to treat epileptics in human body. REBETOL is a brand name with
Ribavirin caps as a generic name. This drug is combine by antiviral drug used in treating chronic
(Mancuso et al,. 2019). In addition, this drug treats liver problem and assist in reducing hepatitis
in a human body.
Generic drug is generated to work similarly like the brand name medicine in a prescribed
form that was already marketed. A generic medicine gives similar clinical satisfactions as the
brand- name. Prescription medicines are in two ways that are generic and a name brand
medicine+. In many cases, when a patient buy a medicine that have been prescribed in a
pharmacy by a doctor he is encouraged to inquire for a less costly generic drug.
Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) must prove generic drug same as brand
medicine when the medicine have same strength and meets the same batch requirement for
purity, strength and quality. In addition, generic medicine is termed as a copy of the brand name
medicine that is generally sold under the chemical name (Okumura et al., 2018). On the other
hand, the brand name drug is accepted by Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that is
distributed by one company. It is secured by law that is sold under the producer’s brand name.
Over-the-counter drugs are medicine that are sold to customers directly with no prescribed
details from professionals in healthcare..

There are several types of pharmacy for example; a large chain pharmacy in the US
known as the Walgreens. On the other hand, there are pharmacies that are associated with a big
box. One of these pharmacies is Walmart. In addition, there are pharmacies that deal and work
their daily activities online. A good example of this pharmacies that deal and their daily
activities online which is Canadian online pharmacy (Kesselheim et al., 2008).

compared to the brand drugs. The generic medicine are cheap compared to the brand name drugs
