Leadership refers tot he ability of an individuals or a group that is able to influence as
well as guide others in an effective manner. Leadership involves making optimal decisions as
well as establishing a clear vision in order to achieve goals and objectives. For the following
presentation Richard Branson has been chosen as a leader who is a British entrepreneur and
business magnate. The following presentation will highlight and discuss various leadership styles
and theories as well as self-reflection in order tom understand my own leadership traits and
skills.

There are various leadership styles as well as theories that define a leader and their
abilities to guide and influence others in an effective manner. It is crucial for a leader to utilize
an appropriate style of leadership in order to influence individuals in a suitable way. In addition
to this the leadership theories allow a leader to ensure that they are able to develop positive
relations with their subordinates relative to the situation (Johnson and Hackman., 2018). Given
below are few leadership theories and styles:
Leadership styles:
The style of leadership refers to overall characteristic as well as behaviour of a leader
when directing and motivating others. Some leadership styles are elaborated below:
Autocratic:
This style of leadership provides optimal power to the leaders relative to decision
making. The leaders that adopts this particular style have high level of command and control
over their subordinates.
Liassez-Faire:
This leadership style is opposite to autocratic. The approach of this styles involves the
