INTRODUCTION
To run a business require lot of knowledge and skills so that it can be successful in
market. There are various essential factors involve in this regard. This is important for the
business to produce value to its stakeholder by its ongoing activities and business operation. The
outcome of such operation is to harvest the value from the assets. This is required for successful
entrepreneur to consider essential elements effectively so that its business can't be affected in
negative manner. When business owner learns how to effectively use the aspects of business,
their organisation will continue to enhance their operation and attain success. Tesco PLC is the
UK based retail grocery company that offering their services to large number of customers. This
organisation has focus on efficient use of quality measures so that they can attain maximum
satisfaction of their customers (Stanwick and Stanwick, 2013).

Impact of Brexit on UK Business
Large chain of businesses are operated effectively in UK market. This is important task
of the organisations to run smoothly so that they can attain success and can be able to provide
more satisfaction to its users.
Brexit is term used for exit of Britain from European Union. In a UK referendum on 23
June 2016, 52% people voted to leave EU which they were the part from 1973. There was lot of
discussion over effect of Brexit on European market as well as on UK. Business of UK depends
on how it negotiates with EU in terms of trading and economic policies. There are campaigners
who are in favour of Brexit and they stated that it has good effect on UK market as it will help
UK to become one of the best market for start up business. Due to this, the value of pound falls
to its lowest level. Brexit supporters said that after Brexit UK does not need to pay 9 billion
pounds to European union budget (Lohrmann and Reichert, 2013). Scotland voted for not getting
out of European union and said, it will have referendum on independence from UK, this brought
very negative impact on investment of Scotland ultimately on UK business.
According to stats in 2015, UK exported 133 billion pound worth of goods to rest part of EU,
which is almost equal to half of global goods export. It is expected that there will be loss of
around 4.5 billion pounds a year if negotiation with EU fails (Foina and et. al., 2015). UK may
loose its access to single market. Most adverse effect that is thought will be on imports of raw

materials from other countries and there can be chances of price hike on many items. According
to the Oxford economics, global export could lower down by 8.8%. According to survey by
Hitachi Capitals YouGov and centre for economic and Buyout research, 65.5 billion pound of
investment has been put on hold in wake of Brexit by investors. Brexit manufacturing have gone
lower as comparison to data of 2009 (Trompenaars and Hampden-Turner, 2011).
Some opportunities are also available in UK due to Brexit like they can freely trade with
various countries in more effective manner. Money that could be saved by not paying to EU can
be spent on internal growth of the country. Industries are affected, which are more dependent on
migrant labourers. If UK wants to free trade in single market then it must allow free migrants. It
would affect positivity of employment. Wage revisions have to be done by each and every
company (Pultarova 2014). The well established companies which deal with all European union
countries are estimated to be in great loss due to Brexit as compared to companies which are
doing business in UK itself. UK business firms will get greater opportunity of hiring talented
people from countries which are not part of Brexit.
Recent Workplace Equality Issues in 2017
Britain has worst record in relation to gender equality at work place. The recent report of
2017 highlighted the high gap in pay scale of working mothers. This country has ranked 11th out
of 18 nations. The league table shows board level representation and gap between male and
female employment. UK is falling behind among the other European countries (Basole and et.
al., 2015).
The report of great researcher shows that In UK, there are few women as comparison to
men who are effectively working at workplace. This gap is lower than for those who are
associated with university education in UK. Sweden, Norway and Finland have almost equal
balance of employment of men and women at workplace. As per the data of other country, it is
identified that this can be lesson for UK to practice good employment. Woking mothers are
paying high price in UK. This is important to consider these factors effectively and provide
chance to women so that they can work in better environment (Farris and William, 2015).
Chamberlain said that working mothers are worse off as comparison to those who are
without family responsibility. This pressure will not provide assistance to UK to address its
workplace diversity problems. The gap between the women with no child is slightly higher than

those working women who have one child. The graph of working women of UK is better than
other country like Ireland and Germany but it is worst than other nations as Spain and Italy.
It is identified from the research that women in UK are likely less in number at
workplace. They face high degree of low job security and great pay inequality as comparison to
the graph of other countries. The PwC Women in Work index presents the actual position of UK
(Inglehart and Norris, 2016). There are five key indicators that shows actual picture in this regard
as-
The sameness of earning with men.
The balance of women in work as comparison to men.
Women unemployment rate.
The ratio of female who are in full time employment.
Women economic empowerment.

It can be said that there is no bullet for addressing these issues in effective manner. This
can be possible only when top management and senior personnels of the company think about
this and try to solve such problem. Organisations need to be responsible for female promotion
pipelines and diversity goals. It is required to consider that young women can be the role model
for the youth and they can be visible and present aspirational role at all level at workplace. This
is the accountability of board to consider this so that this factor can be minimized with high rate
(Goodwin and Heath, 2016).

As per the view of some researcher it is identified that there has been some positive move
in UK to address gender inequality. There is an access to quality childcare. They are dedicated to
leave for father so that parents can mange their work effectively.
Use of Drones to deliver commercial parcels
Drone is an electric unmanned aircraft that navigate autonomously which is behind the
control of human and the line of sight. This is guided remotely. Drones are used for different
purpose and it provides help in number of ways. It is becoming more effective in recent time and
its use is increasing day by day in various field (Ferrandez and et. al., 2016).
This is made up of different light material so that manoeuvrability can be increased. It is
equipped with various equipments as cameras, GPS guided missiles, GPS (Global Positioning
System), sensors and other aspects.
Commercial parcels are one of the important segment and there are number of delivery
system that are used by organisations to deliver parcel. Drone is one of the effective system that
is used in this regard in recent days (Bamburry, 2015). This system is best to use because in this,
parcel can be tracked any time and exact location can also be identified by the company. Many
business organisation are using this system to make the delivery of their product. This is the
fastest way to provide the product where and when it is needed. It is also secure way to make the
delivery of product at different place within minimum time period (Oliver, 2016).
CONCLUSION
As per above study it can be concluded that business is the collection of different factors.
Tesco is the company that is able to offer their services at large level. There are various factors
that can are effectively used by them to make the delivery. Drone is one of the important way for
the delivery of commercial parcels. 'Brixit' took place in year 2016 and it has vast impact over
the business of UK. There are many factors that has been affected at large level due to Britain
exit from EU. As per the report of year 2017, it is also identified that there are some workplace
Equality Issues in UK that require to be addressed in effective way.
