INTRODUCTION
Communication is the key element for every organization. It is the process by which
thoughts and ideas are exchanged between the people. It involves sharing, giving, receiving
information to other people. Strong communication helps in good interaction with other people,
it improves the writing and speaking skills. Effective communication (Mumby and Kuhn 2018)
helps the employees to builds their morale and also provides motivation to the employees to
work efficiently (Stacho, et.al. 2019).
For the successful organization it is very important to have effective communication
which enables the employees to have clear vision over the goals and objectives. This report will
discuss the general theories of the organizational communication in Bri-tech company. Along
with this, it will enable us to understand the barriers of communication like emotional barriers,
perpetual barriers, interpersonal barriers etc. because of which employees are not willing to
return and join the work at office as well as it will outline the Bri-tech company's strategies tom
overcome these barriers.
MAIN BODY
General theories of organizational communication-
Effective communication is very important element of every organization. The theories of
organizational communication (Szczur 2019) which are popular is the theories which were used
in classical period. Some of the general theories of communication are-
1. Bureaucracy- In this theory assumes the hierarchical approach where each employee has
to reach to his superior till the information reaches to the top-level. This theory states that
the organization should set up the rules to control not only the emotional oriented
behaviour of the employees but also to control the abuses to the employees by the
superior management of the organization. It is very important for effective
communication as it strictly controls the employees , ensures the absolute structure as
well as the performance of the organization.
2. Acceptance Theory of Authority- This theory was first developed by Mark Parker
Follett but later it was popularized by Chester Barnard in his book “functions of
executives”. He stated that there are three functions that the offered by informal
organization are communication, ensuring togetherness in the formal organization,
maintaining the feeling of dignity and self-respect. This theory states that executives are

communication as it highlights the feedback process as well as due to its capacity of
researching the outside communication for better exchanges inside the organization
(Pipaş and Bakri, 2019).
4. Theory X and Theory Y- This theory involves the development of patience, creativity
promotion as well as recognizing employees as the biggest asset of the organization. It
also states that the employees should be rewarded for their contribution and hard work on
the basis of the gaols set by the organization rather than providing them on individual
basis and for motivation of employees they should be given stakes in the organizational
affairs. In modern era, the big companies uses theory Y for the motivation of employees
for by opening the channels of communication for boosting innovativeness among the
employees.
Barriers to effective communication of Bri-tech company-
1. Physical barriers- The physical factor that hinders the flow of the effective
communication in the organization comes in the physical barriers. These factors can be
natural as well as the hand made like noise, bad architecture etc. are all physical barriers.
Brio-tech company is facing this barrier as the employees are not willing to come to
office because they are having fear of travelling in the public transport.
2. Emotional Barriers- These barriers is the mental limitation which hiders the open
communication of thoughts and feelings. The positive emotional barriers can be
happiness and the negative emotional barriers can be like frustration, anger, stress,

organization. The important organizational barrier are rules and policies, hierarchical
position, organizational facilities and complex organizational structure. Bri-tech
company's employees are aware about the management, ventilation in the office as well
as worried about the social distancing in the office.
4. Perceptual Barriers- The barriers which comes between making suitable and accurate
perceptions. It allows people to assume wrong things about other or about any
information in the organization. Employees in the Bri-tech company are worried about
interaction with the vaccinated people as many of them don't want to take vaccination.
They people who are not vaccinated are thinking that their will be discrimination between
them.
5. Interpersonal barriers- These barriers occurs when the employees are very afraid of
reporting to the leaders or are worries about interacting with the office colleagues. Bri-
tech company employees are working at hoe from long time, so they are very nervous
about how will they be able yo engage or interact with the office colleagues.

communication in the Brit-tech organization which has made the employee to feel not to come
office after so many days of work from home activity. The employee having different kinds of

help them to feel good and can come to office on the regular basis. The report has mentioned one
of the barrier of physical barrier where the organization is required to maintain their workplace
architecture and providing the safe and secure environment for them will help the workers to

also can help the management to manage the diverse culture in the company at accurate manner

the company and can put their loyalty and efforts in better manner. Along with this, the company

again feel that power and strength and can contribute their efforts accordingly.
