INTRODUCTION
Business communication is one of the key necessities for successful operations of the
business by the organizations. It makes the employees of the organization to achieve the growth
and confidence in communicating their views and problems with their employees (Martinez and
Hurtado, 2018). The Brit tech is one of the tech driven leading organization of UK that provides
the customers with the high tech products and services (Brit tech. 2019). The report will explain
about the various aspects and factors of the business communication and its barriers that can be a
problem for the employees in communicating with the organization. The aim of the report is to
understand the various aspects of the business communication.

Theories of organizational communication
Formal communication
The theory of communication explains about the official techniques of the
communication for the organization and employees. The formal communication is more reliable
in the comparison of the informal ways of communications in the organization.
The theory plays an important role for the organizations as it has various types of
advantages for the organization. The mode is very clear and reliable, and helps the organization
in saving time. The formal method of communication helps the company in maintaining the
control in the organization so that the business can meet the effortless and smooth efficiency of
its operations (Mehra and Nickerson, 2019).
Bureaucratic management theory
The Bureaucratic management theory by Max Weber is one of the management theories
that can help the organizations in achieving the economic effectiveness and the efficiency in the
operations of the company. The theory is the base of any systematic information related to the
organizations that are required to be analysed. It can be helpful for the organizations in making
the employees to understand the command and the instructions that has been informed by the
upper level authorities.

The two step flow theory
The two step theory of communication is an effective concept that helps the organizations
in achieving the successful communication with its employees and the various other members.
The Theory explains that the information from the top levelled authority flows to the opinion
leaders and after that the information is being passed to the employees. This is helpful for the
organization as there will be a mediator between the organization and the staff who can explain
the complete information to the employees on the behalf of the upper levelled authority.
Scientific management theory
The scientific management theory by Fredrick Taylor explains about the strategy of the
organization that can help the management of the workflow by analysing and synthesizing it.
The theory is effective for the organizations as it helps the company in achieving the labour
productivity and the economic efficiency for the operations so that the business can perform
effectively. The theory is helpful in making the employees to work with more creativity on their
day to day tasks so that the organization can achieve the maximum employee efficiency
(Muhamad, Harrison and Yang, 2019).
7 C's of communication
The 7 C's of communication can help the organization in achieving the effective
communication between the authorities and the employees.

Physical barriers- The employees of the organization feels that they are not comfortable
in the public transport as the employees have seen the times of Covid-19 situation that led
to the social distancing. The barrier is important as the employees can get infected with
the diseases and there can be a concern for the health of the staff.
Emotional barriers- The employees of the Brit-tech feels that they are attached to their
place emotionally and always try their best to stay at that place. This can be analysed that
the employees are attached with their house and wants to work from their homes as they
are more productive in their own schedule (Sanders and et.al., 2020). It can lead to the
lack of communication between the employees and the organization as the employees
will neglect coming to the office.
Organizational structure barriers- The employees of the organization feels that there
are no measures of security that has been addressed in the premises of the company that
can lead to spread of the various diseases and infection. The employees hesitate in
coming back to the office as they are concerned about the social distancing and the safety
measures of the employees. This can lead to the communication barriers as the return to
the office of the employees will not be managed properly from the side of organization.
Perceptual barriers- The employees of the Brit-tech is in the mixed opinion of getting
vaccinated. Some employees are not looking to get vaccinated as they are afraid of the
side effects and post effects of getting vaccinated and feels that there will be
discrimination with them in the office premises. The employees who have been
vaccinated are afraid in interacting with the non-vaccinated employees. This can lead to
the lack of co-ordination between the employees and the organization can face a downfall
in the progress of their day to day operations (Ferguson, 2018).
Interpersonal barriers- The employees of the Brit tech are afraid that they have lost
their skills and abilities of working as they spent a long duration at their homes during the
lock down. This made the employees to be nervous in engaging with their colleagues as
they are now not very familiar to them. The employees can feel that they are not
confident enough to work with the same effectiveness that they had before (Verčič and
Špoljarić, 2020).

Strategies to overcome these barriers
Providing cab facilities- The Brit tech can overcome the physical communication barrier
by providing the employees with the cab services so that they are not required to be
travelling from the public means of transport. This can help the organization in making
the employees to have more confident and concern free that they will be safe from the
spread of diseases from the public transport.
Providing flexible schedules- The Brit tech can overcome the problem of emotional
barriers of communication by providing their employees with the ease of work and
flexible schedule of working in the office. This can help the company in achieving the
employee efficiency as the staff will be more comfortable in working at the office by
having a flexible schedule of working.
Securing the work premises- The Brit tech should secure their work premises by
sanitizing the office and maintaining the various safety measures that can cause into the
problems for the health of the employees. This can be managed by the Brit tech by
making the health security of the employees more effective by making the employees to
follow the security guidelines that are necessary to be followed. The organization is
required to make all the employees to wear masks and maintain the social distancing so
that the employees can be protected from the diseases.
Promoting health measures- The Brit tech can overcome the perceptual barrier of
communication by motivating the non vaccinated employees to get vaccinated so that
they can be protected from the spread of the disease. This will help the organization in
achieving the better co-ordination between the employees as every employee will be
vaccinated and the concern of interaction will be reduced. The staff will be confident in
communicating with each other and will be able to work effectively on the projects.
Providing training- The Brit tech can overcome the interpersonal barrier of
communication by training the employees with the new strategies of working after the
pandemic of Covid-19. It can help the employees in gaining back the confidence of
working and will make the employees to interact with each other more effectively. This
will be beneficial for the organization as the employees will be confident in working at
the office as they will be guided and helped by the superiors so that they can not make
any mistakes in working innovatively on the day to day operations of the company.

measures and strategies to create the effectiveness of communication in their work premises. The
