INTRODUCTION
Business communication refers to the procedure of expression, channelling, receiving
along with interchanging of thoughts in an organisation or industry for the purpose of promoting
the goals, objectives and aims of an organisation. Basically it is a method of sharing informations
in a business organisation at different stages or level. Some of examples of business
communication include receiving and responding to the feedbacks of customers, assigning of
duties to the employees and many more. The process of business communication have been used
while communicating with others to complete the operations in an effective and efficient manner
to attain the objectives. The given report is based on the Brit-tech which is a multinational IT
company. This report deal with the general organisational communication theories, various
barriers of communication which are developing unwillingness in the employees to rejoin the
work. Furthermore, it also include the strategies which are required to develop for the purpose of
overcoming from such barriers.

communication are given below:
Team learning theory: This Theory of Communication established an effective
communication system under which all the members of listen each other very carefully.
Each and every individual have right to present their ideas and thoughts towards
providing the effective solution to the several organizational issues. It also result in the
improvement of productivity along with the performance of employees at workplace.
Major lead this theory focuses on creating a healthy working environment within the
organization by thing high focus on their objectives.
Adaptive structural theory: Basically, this theory is made for the purpose of focusing on
the structure of process of communication under which all the employees busy in

using experience, ideas and thoughts. An essential factor of this theory is to complete
given project effectively so that all members in the organisation can follow diverse set of
this process. By undertaking this theory of communication, psychological hypothesis can
be analysed that obtained by an immense experience.
Agenda setting theory- In this theory, it is related to the ability of influencing public
agenda in efficient and effective manner. This theory of communication described a
suitable method in which media tries to attract customers and along with this, it also
established a popular hierarchical structure. It put forward an idea that the news media
create public agenda by making audience think things they want to show.
Barriers of communication which made employees unwilling to return to the office in pandemic
In COVID 19, as it is declared by the organisation that the employees will work from
their home, due to this they had to face several challenges . They also faced many types of the
communication barriers. In context of the Bri- tech, some main communication barriers are
mentioned below:
Physical barriers- In this, it result from physical distraction and other external elements
from surrounding environment that may hinder in flow of the smoothly communication.
During pandemic, employees did not want to travel in public place due to the hygiene
issue. In context of Bri- tech the employees of the respective company are unwilling to
get public transport and they do not want to travel during this peak time because of the
COVID 19 (Thompson and Reeve, 2021).
Emotional barriers-In pandemic, as they workers are allotted with work from home then
they feel that it very comfortable to work form home rather than work from office in this
time period. In relation to Bri- tech, employees of the company prefer to work from home

Perceptual barriers- In this, the employees are worried that if they are not vaccinated
then it can create major problem for teem at workplace as they will be risky for other co
workers in the organisation in relation to Bri- tech, during this time period, some
employees decide to not be vaccinated and they are worried about the discrimination at
workplace whilst those who have been vaccinated as they would hesitate to interact those
employees who are non vaccinated.
Interpersonal barriers- As due to the social distancing and lock down, people were
staying at their home and stop to go outside. In this situation they were not able to meet
with other person which is an interpersonal barrier. In relation to Bri- tech ,during the
long lock down period, the employees feel that they have lost their interpersonal skill and
they are nervous about to engage with other colleagues (Zhang and Muller, 2020).

below:

interpersonal skill barrier and many other. To overcome form all these barriers, the company had
to undertake different strategies so that they can communication easily with their employees.
