INTRODUCTION
The business communication refer to passing of a message and information within and
outside the organisation for financial advantage of the company. It is a collective method to share
the news or information in enterprise level business. In business communication, there is
assigning of task to the employees, receiving and responding to the customer's feedback and
publish a press release and some example of the business communication. It is concern with the
company's objective to product marketing and selling. Business communication mainly used to
promote the products, origination and service to relay an information in the business (Adeniran,
2022). The firm chosen in this report is Brit-Tech. This report will include the general
organisational communication theories, barriers of the communication that made workers
unwilling to return to office and strategies of the respective company to overcome from these
barriers.

The organisational communication refer to channels and kinds of the communication in
which an organisation including corporation, non profit business, government bodies involvement
and other etc. The organisational communication is very complex in nature as there are several
moving pieces at workplace, which need a clear and understandable communication. There are
different theory regarding organisational communication which are mentioned below:
Team learning theory- Under this communication theory, in the organisation, all team
member establish an effective communication by listening each other carefully. Every
individual put their own thoughts and idea forward to resolve different organisational
issues. It help them to increase their productivity and also enhance their performance at
work. Additionally, main purpose of this theory is to create a healthy work environment
within the organisation by paying more focus on their objective rather than their personal
goals.
Adaptive structural Theory- it is most effective theory of the business communication.
In this, it focus on structure of communication process where all employees are engaged
into interact with digital media technology. Additionally, it also focus more on role of the
advanced information technology and other changes at workplace. This theory include the

effectively analyse the knowledge for motivation and distribution of the information by

this process. By undertaking this theory of communication, psychological hypothesis can
be analysed that obtained by an immense experience.
Agenda setting theory- In this theory, it is related to the ability of influencing public
agenda in efficient and effective manner. This theory of communication described a
suitable method in which media tries to attract customers and along with this, it also
established a popular hierarchical structure. It put forward an idea that the news media
create public agenda by making audience think things they want to show.
Barriers of communication which made employees unwilling to return to the office in pandemic
In COVID 19, as it is declared by the organisation that the employees will work from their
home, due to this they had to face several challenges . They also faced many types of the
communication barriers. In context of the Bri- tech, some main communication barriers are
mentioned below:
Physical barriers- In this, it result from physical distraction and other external elements
from surrounding environment that may hinder in flow of the smoothly communication.
During pandemic, employees did not want to travel in public place due to the hygiene
issue. In context of Bri- tech the employees of the respective company are unwilling to get
public transport and they do not want to travel during this peak time because of the
COVID 19 (Thompson and Reeve, 2021).
Emotional barriers-In pandemic, as they workers are allotted with work from home then
they feel that it very comfortable to work form home rather than work from office in this
time period. In relation to Bri- tech, employees of the company prefer to work from home
as they feel that they can perform better with more productivity by following their own
timing schedule. They also resent having for coming in office.
