INTRODUCTION
Business communication describes the process that help company to promote their
organisational goals, aims, activities and objectives by sharing the information in between people
within and outside the organisation. This will also helps in increasing the profit of the company.
In the following report, a company Brit-Tech wants to improve the communication within its
organisation in order to make their employees to perform their task in an effective manner
(Garcia-Sanchez and et.al., 2020The following report includes theories of organisational
communication, barriers of communication along with strategies for overcoming these barriers.
MAIN BODY
Analysing the different theories of organisational communication.
Organisational communication helps company to accomplish their task that relates with
their specific roles and responsibility of their services, sales and production. Many theorist gives
theory that help company to improve their organisational communication in relevant manner. In
aspect of Brit-Tech, theories related to organisational communication that help company to
improve their employees performance are described below:
Weber's classic organisational theory of fixed structure- This Theory was given by
the Max Weber, a respected management theorist and he wants to define the organisational
structure as well as meaningful process for the communication. This theory makes that the
company have to define the roles and responsibility of their each employees in the organisation
in order to make their organisational communication more structured, hierarchical and clear. This
makes employees to pass or share information properly without confusing in order to help
company to achieve their organisational goals and objectives in effectcive manner.In context of
Brit-Tech, by using this theory the company need to define the roles and responsibility of theirs
of their each employees and managers in order to make them to perform their task in the
orgnisation. This will also help company to make their organisational communication more clear
and effective as well achieve their goals in effective manner (Chen, Davison and Ou, 2020).

Tompkins and Cheney's organisational control theory- The theory describes four
forms of control that are concertive, bureaucratic, simple and technical which helps in finding
out how a company exercises their power within the organisation. The company which has
simple type of control where bureaucracies are shown as well as the company which has
technical control their employees knows what is expected of them and help company to achieve
their goals and objectives. In case of Brit-Tech, the company need to analyse the control of the
company in order to distribute the power among their employees in order to make them to
perform their task in proper manner. This will also help company to improve their orgnisational
communication as well as get various benefits also.
Deetz's Managerialism Theory- This organisation communication theory was given by
the Stanley Deetz for helping companies to make their decision making better by improving their
organisational communication. Effective organisational communication makes organisational
functions smooth which makes manager to make more defined decision in order tvo help
company to achieve their organisational goals and objectives more effectively. In respect of Brit-
Tech, this theory makes company to make proper decision related to the organisation in order to
make their employees communicate effectively in the organisation in order to help company to
achieve their goals in more efficient manner (Guffey and Loewy, 2021).
Analysing different types of barriers of organisational communication
Communication in the organisational plays a significant roles in the company in order to
share the important message of the company properly as well as meet the organisational
goals.But there are many hindrance available in the organisational that makes barriers for the
communication within the company that affects their overall organisational performance also.
This makes message unclear and confusing for the employees of the company in order to
communicate properly within the workplace this will also affects in achieving the organisational
goals also. In account of Brit-Tech, the barriers that affects its organisational communication
and makes their employees unwilling in order to return in the workplace are mentioned below:
Choice of Wrong communication medium- This refers to the most common barriers for
the communication in the organisation. If the communication channel is not according to the
nature of the organisational message this makes barriers in the communication within its

workplace. In context of Brit-Tech, this will also affects their employees in order to perform in
the organisation as well as unwilling for coming their workplace.
Incorrect use of language- The employees in many organisations belongs from different
countries as well as their local language is also different which also make barriers within their
workplace (Sheffield, 2020). This makes employees to not understand the what others says
which makes them confusing as well as not perform their task in proper manner. In respect of
Brit-Tech, if the languages is used in the organisation is not common or understandable to their
employees which also makes them unwilling in order to return within the workplace as well as
perform their duty in proper manner. This will makes problem for the company to their
organisational objectives and goals properly.
Emotional barriers- This is also an more challenges barrier for the organisational
communication which makes employees to perform their task. The emotional barriers is affected
due to employees personal characteristics and traits which also makes difficult for the company
to influence their employees tco give their best in order to perform their task in effective manner.
In regards of Brit-Tech, if their employees personal traits and characteristics are affected within
the organisation which makes them to not communicate with others in proper manner. This will
cause emotional barrier that makes their employees unwilling in order to come in the
organisation and perform their duty appropriately.
Cultural barriers- The cultural of the countries differs in different counties which also
affects company to achieve their goals as its also affects thier organisational communication. The
employees that belongs from other countries they not adapt themselves in their culture which
also makes challenges for performing their task properly within the organisation. In case of Brit-
Tech, this will also affects their employees as they also found difficulty in order to communicate
with their employees properly with in the organisation and makes them unwilling in order to
return within the organisation.
Analysing Brit-Tech strategies for overcoming these barriers
There are many factors in the organisation which makes employees unwilling to come in
the organisation and perform their work properly. This makes important for every enterprise to
develop effective strategies that helps them to overcome their barriers of organisational
communication in order to make their working environment that helps their employees to

2018).,
Proper use of communication channel- As the wrong use of communication channel in
the organisation makes barriers for orgnisational communication that affects their overall
performance. This makes important for the company to define more effective channels that help
company to make their communication clear and relevant that encourage their employees to
perform their task in more efficient manner. In regards of Brit-Tech, there manager can use
various of communicational medium such as email, video messaging apps, screen sharing apps
for improving their organisational communication and make their employees to perform their
task effectively.
Communicate only what is necessary- This makes company to share relevant
information to their employees because of sharing information makes their employees confused
and does not perform their task properly. In context of Brit-Tech, this makes company to share
important information or message to their employees in order to make them to perform their task
properly and helps in achieving their goals and objectives.
Flexibility in meeting the targets- For overcoming the barriers of communication in the
organisation makes their managers to ensure that their subordinates meeting the task in time by
using proper channel of communication in the organisation. In respect of Brit-Tech, this makes
their managers to does not pressurize their employees in order to meet their targets in order to
make them influenced to perform their task in proper manner and make communication within
the organisation proper.
Use of simple language- As the language of employees are different which makes
company to analyse common and simple language that helps in making the message
understandable to their employees and helps in performing the task in proper manner. In regards
of Brit-Tech, this will helps them to overcome their barriers and make communication smooth in
the organisation and achieve their goals (Naidoo and Dulek, 2022).
RECOMMENDATION
According to the above discussion, it is analysed that the company need to use effective
strategies that helps in achieving the target as well as encourage their employees to perform their
task in proper manner. This will also helps in sharing the information within or outside the
information properly in order to make their organisational communication more effective.
